Published at:  Jan 23, 2000 5:56:42 AM CST

Hey folks, I'm kinda charmed by these shots of Charlie's three Angels practicing their stunts... And ya know... If they MATRIX out with these three seriously kicking ass... then I'll be pleased as punch. I just wanna watch Lucy Liu kick the living bejeesus out of Tom Green. I think that would just about be the cat's meow.... Here we go... thanks to... ANIMATOR GUY!

Hi Harry,

Im not sure wether you've had these pics for "Charlies
Angels" yet, but I just spotted them in a local NZ
mag. The behind the scenes pics show Drew Barrymore,
Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz practising some stunt work.
Apparently they are gonna be doing all their own
stunts in the film including the fight scenes,
reeeeooow!

Sorry the quality isn't better, the pics were small!
catch ya later

    Let the drool begin

    by cereal killer

I don't know if this movie will be any good or not (a shake of my hairy, magic 8 ball says "All signs point to no") but I'm gonna see it opening weekend anyway. The chance to watch Cameron and Drew kick ass is irresistable. Now if they can just squeeze in a little lesbian lovin' between the three girls then I'll be in perv heaven.

I've been reading AICN for over a year now but this is my first time posting here cause I just got E-mail. Looking forward to contributing to the bullshit going on. Just know that you'll never, ever, EVER hear me say the dreaded words "I'm first." Yech!

Harry, I've defended you till the death, but this time you've gone much, much too far.
Get that big o' mug off the pics, you're scaring/scarring the children.
Won't *someone* think of the children?

    by evil dead

I don't believe they are going the wire fu stunt route with this. Well at least from the pictures they are anyway. I say good. Turn this into a sort of American Heroic Trio. I wasn't too interested before but, now I may give it a look.

    Drew Barrymore is a Ho.

    by monkey butt

I despise that chunky, skanky, ferrel little tart with every element of my being. I can't stand that giggling, little innocent, valley girl bull shit act she pulls on every talk show. I almost hate her as much as Whitney Houston, and that's saying something. However, I would eat Lucy Lui for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. But she won't be enough to save this pool floating turd of a movie.

    Drool City

    by straightshooter

Okay, let's be honest. The original series was porn. Not that that's a bad thing, but the only reason it existed was the jiggle factor. T&A for the whole family.
So now in between having two very fine looking babes (Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore) and one okay looking girl, there's gonna be some action going on.
I say great. Blond hair. Nice tits. Fine ass. Good legs. Not to mention some kung fu fighting, maybe a few explosions and chases.
Sounds like a great time at the movies.
Now if we could only get Cammie and Drew to do a little bush piloting. Some horizontal action with those two would definitely put asses in seats. Hell i'll settle for a steamy kiss and some grab action.

    Cinematic Dictionary Updated...whoa...

    by otaku73

Wull, I guess it's official, kids; the Matrix (and it's associated jargon) has been added, irrevocably, to the fanboy movie dictionary. "if they toatally MATRIX out..." Hmmm. Roger Ebert has his dictionary schtick, with "meet cutes" and "you push pull me you," and I know Harry is up on fanboy-speak, so maybe he should go the route of Ebert (excepting the health issue...gah. Scratch that, double gah) and make his own, personalized geekage/fanboyesque/otakuese dictionary. Sure, it's prolly been done before, but not with the exposure this site merits.
And to think, Keanu actually ADDED to a vestibulary of knowledge. Who would have thunk it?

    Who's doing the choreography?

    by bedwetter

They had Woo-Ping Yueng and his team for Matrix...
Who's doing the action choreography for Charlie's Angel?
From the photos, it looks like another Hong Kong crew...

    Anyone?

    "And then there's the ho..."

    by all thumbs

Margaret Cho said it best when describing the Charlie's Angels series: there's the smart one, the athletic weapons expert...and then there's the ho! Check these girls...which one's the ho? I figure Diaz is the smart one, Lucy Liu is the athletic weapons expert...and then there's Drew Barrymore. She gets stuck as the ho. (And for your information, I don't hate Drew Barrymore, I just think she's going into the Farrah Fawcett role. And she's not chunky dammit!)

lets try and set the record straight

    by orguss

i loved the matrix...don't get me wrong, it took the best elements of everything already out there:john woo movies, hong kong wire fu, comic books, cyberpunk, the rotate slo-mo around an object shots a la various commercials and videos, anime (ESPECIALLY ghost in the shell/can you count the ways?:the green computer type, disintegrating columns , head grab by mechanical arm, impact of a person hitting the ground crumbling it, exploding watermelons, etc...) and put it together in a really tight, cool package that introduced all these elements to a wide audience. but lets call a spade a spade. lets not use MATRIX as a term for wire fu, black leather costume movies (comparisons with x-men abound, and has everyone forgotten that blade did the entire schtick first? black leather and sunglasses, techno music, wire fights, etc...) or anything else for that matter. it's only originality was in it's successful combination of already existing elements. but anyways, i hope that charlie's angels does really well. can you imagine 3 bad ass carrie ann mosses? yikes! :-) just as long as it's not campy, i think that it'll be cool.

Lucy Liu is the Whole F'n Show

    by stonemonkey

Lucy Liu, who already knows martial arts, is a piece-of-ass. Cameron Diaz is also great. Can't wait to see these two in action. Drew, in a Charlies Angels flick, doesn't compute. The casting person must have been slipped something to eat or drink the day they cast her. She looked good in 'Ever After' with that guy who should've played Wolverine, but she blew up overnight after that one. She needs to get with those girls on 'Fitness Beach' to see where it's at. Attractive and slim, she aint. I'm pushing for Lucy and Cameron. Lucy at least lends an air of realism to the picture because she's hot as hell and can really fight her ass off. Did they cast Bill Murray as the Bosley character?? Curious. I could really see a Jon Lovitz, playing 'The Boz.'

Cameron Diaz will you marry me? Yeah right, like she would ever reply let alone even view this geeky fanboy site. Oh well, I can still dream. This movie definantly has my eight bucks already.

    CHARLIE'S ANGELS

    by lester diamond

I'll play Charlie. I don't think Lucy Liu is that great-looking, but I'll take Cameron and Drew anytime. I am going to start praying right now for lesbian action. One can only dream.
On another note, I was sick last week and watched HOME FRIES on TV. To use Rex Reed-speak, these fries needed some salt and ketchup. One awful movie. I wish I would have seen this one at the theater, so I could have put it on my worst of the year list. Whew, what a stinker.
By the way, is there actually a plot for CHARLIE'S ANGELS or is it just T&A and explosions (which is okay too)?

    Cynthia's Angels

    by spyboy

Cynthia Rothrock could take'em all on and not even break a sweat. It just ain't fair I tells ya, She should have at least got a role as a henchman, then she could've whupped all their asses until they had to cheat just to defeat her. Here's hoping she get's to be in the sequel, if there is one and if there is it'll probably go stright to video.

    These pictures reveal EVERYTHING!

    by bono

This movie will be a critical success. It is obvious from the details that the cast is working from the Tyrone Guthrie model of dramaturgical expression in which carefully calculated repetitive expression is used with only minute variations to demonstrate a series of intelligibly prescribed actions in order to form an intelligibly prescribed design. The Stanislavski element is there, man, I'm telling you it is there! Not since THE MOD SQUAD movie has there been such a suggestion of the actor's interpretive craft utilized in a more...whoa...gotta go watch SLIDERS now!

    All theier own stunts?

    by cody1882

Well, depends on your definition. There is a fencing scene with Lucy Liu's character and I GUARANTEE is is NOT Lucy behind that mask. The woman who did that fight is Roberta Brown, an L.A.-based actor and fight choreographer who specializes in swordplay.
