George Clooney is a good director, and his films tend to gravitate towards ensembles. His GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK was a terrific period piece when television was much different than it is now, and THE IDES OF MARCH looks like it has Clooney returning to political territory. Clooney plays a Presidential candidate and Ryan Gosling plays his campaign press secretary, when a scandal hits and threatens their relationship and Gosling's career. The trailer looks good, and since Clooney weote the script with Grent Hestov (based on Beau Willimon's play) you know this will dive into much of what makes up our political climate today.
