CAPTAIN AMERICA Director Joe Johnston Wants To Make A STAR WARS Motion Picture About BOBA FETT!!

I am – Hercules!!

While promoting “Captain America,” director Joe Johnston was asked by ScreenRant whether or not George Lucas had yet seen his period superhero movie. And Johnston said this:

“You know if he wants to see it, I would show it to him. I’m trying to get George to make a feature based on Boba Fett.”
When asked if he would direct the film Johnston said simply, “I would like to, it would be a lot of fun.”

Those who scoff at the idea of Lucas okaying another “Star Wars” movie need look no further than Warner Bros.’ horrifying animated 2008 “Clone Wars” feature.

Why would Lucas allow Johnston to direct a live-action movie about the armor-happy bounty hunter who transported that delicious Han-filled block of carbonite to Jabba the Hutt?

Before Johnston directed “Honey I Shrunk The Kids,” “The Rocketeer,” “Jumanji,” “October Sky,” “Jurassic Park III” and “Captain America,” he worked as designer and visual effects art director for the first three “Star Wars” movies, where he created the designs for, among other things,  the Millennium Falcon, The X-wing fighters, the Y-wing fighters, the Imperial snow walkers, Yoda and the full-grown Boba.
