Here's A Rorschachian Video Of That Upcoming DARK KNIGHT RISES Teaser!
Merrick here...
Earlier this week, Harry posted THIS description of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES teaser trailer - wich will presumably run in front of the HARRY POTTER finale which opens this weekend.
A shaky-cam video has now gone online which seems to match said description almost perfectly. I can't imagine this embed will stay active very long, so get it while it lasts!
Thanks to JC for the heads up...

Wait for the real one. Sheesh. This kills it.

better to wait for the one attachet to harry 7.2
-
Everyone's freaking out about this. I fear it's gonna suck.
-
As he should. That massive gait he takes when he walks, you already know he ain't no joke.
-
I. Cannot. Wait.

Looks great, interested about the 'S' shield of Supes in the teaser poster, wonder if there'll be any overlap between man of Steel and DKR in 2012? A WB shortcut towards a Justice League movie?
-
It's exactly Ike that description, so I bet it's the real deal. I want to see it in all it's glory, though, this isn't doing it justice. I'm not so sure about this, but... In Nolan I Trust. And I will stick by him.
-
Always reminds me of my excitement and eventual letdown of The Phantom Menace. And although I'm not one of his TDK zealots, I don't think Nolan will let me down.
-
Was this ever confirmed until now? I thought it was just a rumour that was too good to be true! This is going seem like a long year!
-
That got taken off FAST...
-
...are fast. That's was up for something like 5 minutes.
-
who was that in bed, gordon? and what the hell was that movie 2 seconds before tdkr trailer?
-
Seems the most telling moment of the trailer. This feels strangely like Rocky III, with Bane cast in the Clubber Lang role. Bane beats the Batman out of Bruce, Bruce has to search within for the nightmare to be let loose again, perhaps sacrificing a new found life of peace so that Gotham can continue to exist. The circle is complete, birth and rebirth as the tragedy of Batman is told. The story ends.
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i3lMpvBv94 The movie before was some thing with Hugh Jackman where he plays a dad whose son is involved in like a robot fighting league or some bs. It's just like that Simpsons episode, basically.
-
Who do you think leaked it?
-
Argh!
-
Pretty underwhelming. A grand total of about 5 seconds of new footage.

Fuck you, that movie looks awesome
-
I think. . . Gordon: we were in this together, then you were gone, now this evil rises. The batman must come back. Wayne: what if he doesn't exist anymore? Gordon: he must . . . He must
-
..."what if he doesn't exist anymore", Oldman's response is "He does...he does" Hard to hear with the mask, bu I ran it at max volume a few times, and it was definitely that, not "Humor me" as some were speculating elsewhere.
-
That was a shoot of catwoman at the end with Bane. 99% certain, not the new batman costume. Looks cool, but i couldn't hear what Oldman was saying?
-
Not Paul Greengrass! Get it? IT'S A SHAKY CAM JOKE!!!....Wish this vid was taken down earlier, then I could have saved myself for the official one. Damn my curiosity.
-
Honestly I saw that shot and thought "Is that Catwoman walking away, while Bane is following her?" Then I remembered that initial post said it was Bats, so I discarded the thought. We'll see which way this spins when we get an official version, which will probably be Saturday/Sunday I suspect.
-
Several scenes, same setup as last time. "Filmed in IMAX" doesn't mysteriously mean the entire thing was shot IMAX.
-
Will wait till I see a better copy of it before I pass judgement - looks foreboding though.
-
I take back my 'fake' rant yesterday. loved it. can't wait to see it in glorious quick time!
-
Not "Humor me" or "He does".
-
After re-watching it a few times, I think that's spot on. This teaser was made to look like we were getting nothing and then this last shot gives something good away. That said, I don't want to watch a movie where Catwoman is the focus and Bane is the one following her direction. That's way too close of a shade to "Batman & Robin" to me.
-
cool
-
July 13, 2011, 10:32 a.m. CST
pretty certain that is batman at the end not catwoman
by teddy_duchamp
man Bane looks like he's about to destroy him. EVIL!
-
It says in the trailer select scenes in IMAX. But i bet there will be more then what was in the dark knight.
-
Looks like he's limping, trying to get away, as if he's just been totally fucked up.
-
Someone on YouTube posted a video of the Inception hallway fight, but they rotated the video so that the bottom edge of the screen is always the direction of the centre of gravity. It looks so much cooler than the version in the film, where it seemed that Nolan simply attached the camera to the floor and let it roll while Levitt and the other guy slowly tumbled up one wall. Inception would have been a much better film if the Wachowski brothers had directed it.
-
Move along. Move along.
-
from the three seconds of new footage anyway.

He isn't even credited with story on this one? Also, James Newton Howard is out.
-
posting bootleg shit now, eh? can you post some full movies, too? i don't like spending money....
-
Duh?
-
Goyer is co-credited for the story. But I also noticed James Newton Howard's absence in the credits. I hope they're able to get him back for this. The scores for the first two wouldn't have been anywhere near as effective had they just had Zimmer's contributions.

but still online if you look around. Look, bootlegging trailers isn't any big loss for the studios. When the public makes official trailers go viral it's free advertisement for the studios. And yes aicn has done it many times.
-
it has terrible video quality.just be patient and wait for the official HD version.it is a matter of days or maybe even hours to be put on the net.
-
Didn't notice firt time I watched.
-
Bruce Wayne will tell his secret to Gordon. Gordon makes a recovery and joins Wayne on his crime fighting crusade as ....Batman. Wayne trains Gordon. Then Wayne becomes.....Robin. This will turn the franchise inside out, and Nolan will look like a genius with this crazy revelation to end his trilogy. It's all starting to come together.

It was assembled from whatever they filmed already, just like Inception's.
by Ricardo
So it's not much of a teaser trailer, we'll have to wait at LEAST until december for something good. But I was puzzled at the title at the end, FILMED IN IMAX? I mean, the whole damn thing? I hope they didn't have to loop every single dialogue because of this. I hate lopped dialogue, I rather have all sound capture on the set.
-

So let's see here. Looks like we've got one hell of a great 2012 coming...

Man of Steel Spider-Man The Avengers The Dark Knight Rises Total Recall (remake, I know, hoping it's great) and, saving the best for last: Prometheus I feel as if I left out a few, let me know... It's gonna be a freaking amazing year for us geeks!!!

Depressing as can be-- Jim Gordon whispering through an oxygen mask to an off-screen whispering Bruce/Batman. The sound mix on this movie is going to be the death of me!

Trailers are public domain material. This isn't piracy. It's scooping.
by Ricardo
It's like taking photos of a movie set or leaking the movie's plot. It's not illegal, but studios will avoid it at all cost.
-
That chanting came from the original website, there was a hidden TheFireRises message at the audio's spectrum. The fake videos merely used that sound.
-
on finding new, original material. Know what I'm saying?
-
From what I have read, is that all the action will be filmed in Imax and the dialogue will be filmed in 70mm. 70mm is the format that is closest to Imax in resolution.

It's not Catwoman at the end, and this teaser trailer is not much of anything
by golden tribw
I'd almost rather have generic buildings crumbling than sick Gordon pleading and footage from the first two. It drove me nuts when the HANNIBAL teaser was just a whole bunch of text (do not approach the glass.....) and then a 2-second shot from early in Silence of the Lambs.

I think Bane might become the new Batman, and JGL become his new "Gordon"
by Jesiah
I've been thinking of a lot of possibilities, and if Bane has had the same training as Bruce, he may come to the same conclusions (albeit very late). And if Gordon is gonna kick the bucket, maybe JGL will be his police connection. Just wondering out loud on the talkback forms.

thanks for the link, obnoxiouscamper...by the way is Bruce crawling out of the hole he fell into as a child?
by Jesiah
Because I remember at the end of Knightsend Bruce fights Azrael by going into the secret cave entrance that his father boarded up and after convincing Az to give up the batman identity he walks in the sunshine. It was pretty poignant to me because he tells Azrael that Batman is the mask and Bruce Wayne is the real person, something that even Bruce was surprised he was saying, even though he believed it. Anyway, that was a great little trailer.
-
Have to wait for the official version... kudos to the WB though, they are taking these links down awfully fast.
-
Oh and about the actions...I think the actions in TDK were terrific, especially the chase sequence. But yes, in Batman Begins, those fight scenes were poor. I agree with that.
-
Liam Neeson: I have a very specific set of skills. Gary Oldman: Wendus depardun. I love me grog. Nomer esivle. Roasted on brat. The kid from Empire of the Sun: What if a dozen kids do more? Gary Oldman: EVVVVVVERYONE!!!!!! Fade to black.
-
When I first saw the teaser, the chanting near the end was reminding me of something I had heard before. Then I watched it a few more times and it hit me!! The exact same chanting that takes place near the end of the teaser takes place in the Arkham Asylum video game. Those chants are coming from the inmates at Arkham from what I remember. Can anyone else confirm this?

is anyone else pissed at the massive amount of reused footage?
by zom-bot.com
do we need to see those scenes again? i'd rather see black than see the batpod in that scene AGAIN. the TDK teaser didn't pull any scenes from BEGINS did it? this pulls from both. hm. the Gordon hospital scene was easy enough to shoot and get ready for the teaser, and we know they've obviously shot some bane fight footage. would've liked just one more morsel from the new film. not anything spoilery. just didn't want to see so much old footage. oh and Brian Cranston for commissioner Gordon when Nolan hands the film over to someone else.

According to IMDb the IMAX cams will be used for everything except dialogue shots (due to camera noise).
-
This movie's only been filming for what, 6 weeks now? Don't tell me you actually expected full-blown action sequences or anything more than chop-shots for a teaser thats out 372 days (or whatever the # is) before the movie's release.
-
Didn't actually show ANY footage. It was just a bat logo with blue streaks shooting out from behind it, with dialogue from the movie.

It's a TEASER, you braindead dolts. A TEASER!
by SierraTangoFoxtrotUniform
Goddamn, they just started filming. The movie is a year away. Remember the Dark Knight teaser? It was a bat symbol breaking apart with Alfred and Bruce talking. There wasn't any footage at all. For fuck's sake, they could post the whole damn movie as a teaser and you morons would find something to whine about. A teaser does just that; it teases you, makes you want more. You people are probably the same ones that cry and bitch out when trailers give too much away.
-
I watched it. And it's pretty cool...but I imganine the more quality version will be more pleasing.
-
extract it from the rar file to watch it. http://www.mediafire.com/?xkgtew5udbtt8x9
-
This was garbage compared to TDK. The TDK teaser didn't have any video whatsoever - just audio clips of Bruce and Alfred, and then 11 words from the Joker. Those 11 words and the laugh were way more powerful than any of this "every story has an end" crap. I have yet to see any evidence that Batman is all that special without the Joker.

to the TDK one which was awesome. The only good thing from this one is the last shot with Bane lifting his shoulders and Batman stepping back. I have a feeling that this time Nolan will do an outstanding job in the action department.

Teaser should have ended with Bruce and the models falling into the fountain in Batman Begins
by Mattman
And the line, 'Guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues.' COMING SUMMER 2012
-
release the damn trailer already
-
why does so many movie series involving a hero see a point where the hero is having to decide whether to continue being that hero, or he gives it up, or something similar. They did it in Superman 2, they did it in Spiderman 2, Batman Forever, and it looks like they'll be taking that approach in Dark Knight Rises. Kind of been done before over and over again. I just hope it's done well, I hope this ends the series well.
-
Granted, it's a shaky-cam version, but Bane's just no Joker no matter how crystal clear the images are.
-
I liked the title until I saw the trailer. Now it just comes off as gimmicky.
-
It's weird seeing him retreat from one person like that, I am picturing an epic fight.
-
I have to agree its a tad underwhelming, but that's why I like it. It's a true teaser and over-the-top just wouldn't be Nolan's style. Better than TDK was, but what made that one work at all was the voiceover by The Joker. It's easy now to forget just how weird and enticing hearing Ledger's Joker voice was. It was enough at the time. this one is as well.
-
beat the batman out of Wayne. Batman steps back in a hesitating manner. There is something broken and afraid in that brief shot. The first sign of weakness....a loss of resolve...
-
George Lucas used Joseph Campbell's "A Hero's Journey" in Star Wars. I think most superhero films are following that model for some reason
-
Notice how Dark Knight returns to the sepia color scheme Batman Begins in the last scene when Batman rides off in the pod. Now we have a new color. Is it grey? Is it white? What does it mean for the mood of the film? Harsh shadows with bright contrast. The grey tint seems forboding.
-
I agree, I know it's a 1 second shot, but Batman almost looks afraid, kind of a, I usually can beat the shit out of 10 people at once, what the hell is this guy?

sunwukong86: Joseph Campbell DID NOT invent the 'Hero's Journey.'
by THE_CHOPPAH
He identified similar patterns in myths from cultures across the globe and wrote about them in nuanced, well-researched tomes. When Hollywood relies on the 'Hero's Journey,' they are bastardizing Campbell's scholarship and analysis. DO NOT blame Joseph Campbell.

-
When the fuck when Hollywood ever learn? You can't bury shit like this on the internet. If you have a trailer, you might as well fucking release it online cause everyone is gonna see it anyway. As for the teaser, it was pretty surprising. I was certainly shocked when I saw Gordon. Is his condition a plot arc lifted from the comic canon? Or did he just get fucked-up by Bane?
-
Hahahah!!!!!! funny stuff. You guys are fucking nuts. Gotta love the Aintitcool commenters. Remember that guy who claimed to be Harry's brother? That shit had me in tears.
-
What he said was new wasn't it? Is Ra's the guy who motivates and pushes Bruce enough to become the fully formed Batman and defeat Bane? Kinda ironic, don't you think?
-
It confirms that someday this movie will be completed and exist. Other than that BFD.
-
so lame. anybody going to hp7.2 just 4 this is. a. stool.
-
A new line from Neeson, a upfront, closeup look at Bane's face, first peek at Catwoman if that's her at the end, Gordon all fucked up, not to mention the nice sounding horns at the end. Lots of small but cool things. It's quite a bit for what's only a teaser. The movie is a year away from release, keep that in mind.

A fantastic, wonderful troll. Joseph Cambell "dangerously insane" LOL. How come I can't make up shit like that?
-
Anything that follows a major blockbuster like Lion King is going to make major cash simply because people think they are getting more of the same. TDKR will profit because of that same idea...also sequels always make as much or more than the original no matter how bad they look (Hangover II and Pirates 4.)
-
If so, he may just stop editing his movies like they were two-hour trailers. Seriously. It started with the Prestige and (hopefully) peaked with Inception. Go back to Begins, notice how you could hold on a single shot for more than two seconds? Notice how you don't have the score booming the entire time? This is good. Do more of that please. thx
-
The Dark Knight must face his greatest challenge... Joseph Campbell, a homosexual sexist hellbent on sex-changing every woman in Gotham into a male.
-
Yours still works. That makes you a winner. And winners get to screw the prom queen. Don't go bragging about it, tho. Guys that do stand a good chance of having us laugh about their size in the locker room. And, 'Rorschachian'? Really? You were a hipster that incorrectly used 'kafkaesque' in college essays, weren't you? i hated Batman Begins, and loved The Dark Knight. Looking forward to this because of Catwoman. Teaser Trailer + No Catwoman = Bleh.
-
Seriously. You guys are complaining about this? If you recall, the TDK teaser was NOTHING. It was just a bat-symbol with some dialogue and a Joker laugh at the end. This at least shows some new footage. Relax and enjoy the anticipation because this is it, my friends.

-
I hate it when people say epic. As soon as I read that it felt like some d-bag x-box live dude wrote it. The last line shouldn't have been a screencard at all. It should have been a black screen with Alfred saying "Why do we fall master Wayne?" and then show "The Dark Knight Rises". That would have been perfect.

That's the same damn thing you posted over on Quint's Potter thread. All you did was replace the title of the film. Silly wannabe troll. Get a new schtick.

Actually that is Neeson, and his voice sounds far more gruff and raspy
by Mattman
I just listened to the line in Batman Begins to make sure... and I'm pretty sure that is new audio.
-
I'm sure Nolan had him do PLENTY: "Liam, can you make it sound like you've been gargling glass and whiskey? Thanks big guy!"
-
From Batman Begins, sorry, should have clarified.
-
Yesterday's story that gave the play-by-play of the trailer (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/50347), Nightcrawler wrote that he thinks Gordon said "Humor Me..."at the end of the trailer. This was to answer Bruce's question: "What if he (Batman) doesn't exist anymore?' Gordon's actual answer: "He must. He must."

I'm still fairly sure that this is not the finished trailer.
by cameron1975willi
It's somewhat badly put together. Disjointed. The text is completely redundant, as are the shots from the previous films. The CG shot of the collapsing skyline looks like a videomatic rather than the finished article. Putting the end of the Real-Steel trailer at the beginning is just a clever touch to sell this fake.
-
Let's face it, Nolan is in a corner. He made two great Batman films, he's made great films not named Batman, and now he's ending his trilogy with a Batman movie that doesn't have The Joker in it, but does have Catwoman and a lesser known Bane as the villain. He actually throws us geeks a scrap, which is what we wanted, and we're bitching about the re-used footage. They hardly filmed the movie so quit complaining. And quite frankly, I love the fact that the final film doesn't contain heavy hitters. We know shit about this film just like we knew shit about TDK even after the in depth trailers came out. Now I'm reading all these posts where people have it figured out. NO YOU DON'T. I guarantee no one here has the first fucking clue what's gonna happen in this. We know shit, and thats the way it will stay until July 2012! Fuck yeah, I'm excited by this. I like how Nolan is going against the grain. It makes for a more authentic experience, with something that's different. Thank God!!!!! Or, Thank Nolan!!! BRING IT!!!!
-
No Catwoman? Aaaaand just like that i don't care. "You're no fun, Hailey. You kill fun. When I saw you, my fun went soft." - Roger
-
Hahahahahahahahahaha !
-
but it won't be a TDK-level success.
-
Do not address genderblender directly. If you have any questions for her you can filter them through me. Personally I love TDK and Batman begins, both. If I had to choose I would sat TDK is the better of the two, but damn if I don't change my mind sometimes when I dust off the copy of Begins. "Ras? Ras Al Gul is dead. WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR!!" On a side note, who twisted Nolans arm to release this as is? It has the WB suits greasy fingerprints all over it.

meh im bored of Batman - id rather this be the teaser trailer for TERMINATOR 5 starring Bale as JOHN CONNAH!
by CARTMANEZ
remember how awesome the teasers were for T4 back in 2008 or whenever it was? when everyone hoped it would be R and be like the dark NOW comic series (All My Futures Past/The Burning Earth etc) and how awesome it was that the star of that summers billion $ Dark Knight was heading it, that Arnie was rumoured to be involved somehow? happy times i want that feel again for T5 (only this time i want R and the blue night battles)

Remember Rhas knows who Batman is, he's sent Bane after Gordon and Alfred to troment Batman to come out of retirement, Bane is just a thug, the main man will be Rhas.
by Arkhaminmate001
-
Keep the faith brother, this teaser is fake!
-
Anyone complaining that the TEASER isn't showing enough is a moron. I'm excited really more for the reason that the movie is happening. Like...I knew it was happening...but just seeing something showing it makes me all geeky. I'm not even making sense I guess.Even if it were jsut a bat-symbol with voice overs, that would have been good enough for now.
-
didn't bane do that in Knightfall?
-
Won't be as big as TDK, but it will make 900-million worldwide, +- 100 million.
-
That might be the stupidest thing anyone on this thread has said. And yes, I'm including Genderblender's comments.
-
please be good
-
But the studios went insane a demanded a name change.
-
It's the first time a superhero trilogy is actually ending, and it will be badass.
-
As Alfred Pennyworth put it, some people aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some people just want to watch the world burn. Just ignore her nonsense, there's no point in humoring her.
-
Good work.
-
So that supposedly "fake" teaser with the prisoners and chanting in the background is legit? You heard the same chants in this teaser.
-
I'm surprised that this teaser had new footage. Its disappointing that Nolan's Bats isn't a master of disguise in these movies. SPOILERS... Bats is wearing a ski mask in this scene (ala Batman Begins when they first meet).
-
Sorry kid but you need to study box office. TDK is the number 3 highest grossing domestic film of all time. No one expects this new movie to gross 500m. 300M is a huge win.
-
I thought I was the only guy sad that there would be no Bale Terminator 5. it probably would have been this summer too.

I agree with canned dirty ape... But it's OBVIOUS why we love Nolan the way we do...
by Citizin_insane
Though his movies are imperfect, there are obvious reasons why the success of his Batman films are mammoth. -Heath's Joker was so fucking cool. And in a way he beat Batman, which is what Batman fans needs from it's villain characters. -The scale and grit and tone of the movies are so perfectly dark and epic. But most of all: -Despite Bale's cookie monster voice, Batman/Bruce Wayne has had a non-stop character arc through out both BB and TDK. This is unlike most Marvel hero's that keep having the same arc through out there movies. Example: Spider-man: In ALL 3 MOVIES Peter Parker flip-flopped from being insecure nerd with girl problems, that overcomes his problems by embracing being a hero. Ironman: In BOTH MOVIES Tony Stark flip-flopped from being an arrogant genius that overcame his problems by taking his abilities seriously. Batman: From the start of BB we had Bruce grow from a naive kid/ soul searching traveler/ ninja apprentice/ enlightened man/ aspiring vigilante/ empowered hero And then the character arc continued in TDK Bruce the successful hero/ the hero pushed to his limits/ the hero knocked off his perch/ the hero surviving in the end, but not without a great loss that And we the masses will flock FLOCK I say to the theater to see where this next adventure takes him.
-
Lantern should've been more in line w/Lord of Rings if they wanted to do it justice...I really wanted it to be on par w/Batman Begins in terms of a great DC movie.

by SIR ARTHUR KING OF THE BRITAIN
NO I THINK HE'S GOING TO BETRAY BATMAN AND HAVE HIM KILL BANE. LIKE FUCK HIS SHIT UP BIG TIME.
-
I'm glad Nolan has been freely creative with this franchise instead of rehashing stuff from the comics. I'm curious to see his take on Bane.
-
Those are the black guys that smoke a lot of pot, right?
-
top notch. WAIT...just thought about it a second time...This is what KILLED it for me about Iron Man 2. He was the same asshole as Tony Stark at the beginning of Iron Man 1 except less funny.

Man, even though Bane been white-washed, Tomas Harvey might pull that ish off, my white cousins!

Normally you'd say yes, this one will be as big as the last. It will have a bigger opening weekend, and then fall faster than the last. But that's only with the Joker. Heath Ledger and the Joker character were a BIG reason for it's runaway success. Yes the anticipation is huge, obviously, but if the movie doesn't deliver the goods in a big way it can fall way short of TDK.
-
WRONG! That'll get a faint snicker out of me, at best. I'd otherwise be cringing at the mere insinuation of it.

Gordon is not talking to Wayne, it's someone else. Nolan has just over dubbed Wayne to tease, Gordon's probably with the Mayor,, Wayne's talking to Alfred. Bane looks crazy...
by Arkhaminmate001
-
With bane only subtly hinted at, and the sheer power of his wrath evident in the Bat City Crumbling bit at the end, i did get a better sense of the tone.
-
The only logical person Gordon could be talking to is Dent. Wayne is not revealing his identity so its not him. Its not Batman. Who else could it be but Dent unless his wife leaves him during the film.
-

-
He is probably talking to Wayne because there were hints in TDK that he had suspected Wayne as Batman. He doesnt acknowledge that openly to Wayne in TDKR,but in a indirect way tries to tell him that GC needs Batman back. Now why Wayne is sitting next to Gordon's bed in the hospital although they merely know each other? It might be because Wayne took over a more active role in the affais of GC after he abandoned his Batman identity. Maybe in TDKR he sponsors GC Police Department with funds and technology in order to help the cops and the judicial system to defend GC better and bring down the bad guys more efficiently, especially now that Dent is *dead* and somehow that void must be filled. And since Gordon is the Commissioner of the GCPD and a secret associate to Batman,Wayne took a special interest on him which lead to becoming friend with him. That or Gordon is talking to that lousy kid of his from TDK.
-
audiences will go to see this wondering why JAHN CONNAH is playing batman. kid to its dad when watching TDKR - "daddy...why has Jahn Connah got long hair?"..."is this a prequel set present day before the war?"...(when Bane is onscreen) "is that the T800 prototype?"

Without having seen the trailer ... Gordon is talking to Wayne,

... but Wayne is actually in the next bed over, with a broken back! Gordon will stir Bruce to recover and fight, with the help of Selina Kyle, and at the end he will kick Bane's ass.

He's laying on his side. Has a simple oxygen mask on, and he's hooked up to a simple ekg machine. Only a few reason to put a paitent on his side. Fractured ribs or, well... Bane is a lure. Seems to me he didnt go to Wayne Manor (the new one). More than likely he went to Gordon's home. More thug like, more believable. I'm sure Bane killed Gordons family and then to add insult to injury he broke his ribs, turned him over and made him into a sister, leaving him to live, so he would beg batman to return. All I could make out in the trailer was bane doing push ups in a cell, a front shot of his face and what I thought was catwoman.
-
Just curious. I was sort of kidding and being immature when I posted ''I THINK GORDON GOT RAPED BY BANE!!!'' but now you've got me wondering... Do you think Nolan would put that in this film? Or insinuate that...? Maybe show Bane buckling his pants back up...? Damn, that would be dark.
-
In Frank Miller´s The Dark Knight Returns there is a very important character called the Mutant Leader and he is very much like Christopher Nolan´s Version of Bane. I wonder if he will have the same arc and be the definitive Villain who matches Batman phisically. I wonder if he will ultimately kill Batman? Or criple him in some fucked up way. I wonder if Chris is that bold. Bane must be asociated with the league of shadows and he must be somewhat romantically involved with Thalia why else would he be so determined to kill the Bat?
-
It's obviously very cryptic at this point, but the last bit at the end really looks like (IMO): Baleman got his ass whipped and is either slinking away while being stalked by Bane, OR, Baleman is mid-ass whip and is completely disoriented, trying to get away. The reason I think this is the issue, is that I'd paused on the frames and it appears that you can see the Bat suite armor plating from behind (shoulder piece), with the cowel possibly having been ripped off. Anybody else see this?
-
Take it from me, parody is the highest form of flattery. At one point, I counted 20+ iterations of The Choppah handle in the TBs.
-
homoerotic passion because they are both macho men who wear masks.
-
I see Catwoman at the end of the teaser. The suit looks different, the movement is probly just Hathaway's interpretation on how cats move or something.
-
Is part of Bane's plan to get under Batman's skin just before he fucks him up. Bane knows Gordon and Bats are friend or even a bit like father and son and exploits it ruthlessly.
-
Joker was supposed to be in the movie and not Bane.
-
TDK was fantastic but it's not the reason people swarmed to see it. I wonder if the movie can make a billion again without Ledgers "help". I'm not so sure.
-
The trailer is expected to show up officially on Monday.

But look how that turned

but i agree,Bale is mediocre as Batman but he is a very good actor when he wants to be.

He made batman a bit of a weirdo and kinda insane. While Bales Batman is just a badass looking for vengeance.

Definitely! Walking backwards away from Bane...
-
WWTDD.com. They have a really good bootleg up. The fact that Batman is slowly backing away from something much larger is awesome. In the first 2 movies Batman has been afraid of nothing. The end shot reminds me of Robocop backing away from ED-209. Over the course of that movie you're instilled with this feeling that Robocop is invincible and yet here he is retreating. This is very similar.
