    BOO!!!

    by d12-beowulf

BOO! BOO, I say! Putresence! Filth! Vile! BOO! BOO! Scream is a franchise that I refuse to subscribe to. It's like trying to justify that watching Buffy the Vamprie Slayer is for it's excellent writing and character development! BULL! Try "I'zes be a watchin' fo' dat Gellar girl's fat juicy big bouncin' bootie" development.... Please, let's move on to something better.... like me rapidly and repeatedly rubbing Jalapeno peppers and wasabe paiste in my eye. //d12-beowulf

    Goody Gumdrops

    by snifflesq

Fuck Scream 3. Fuck Wes Craven. Any chance of getting something original? Huh ... ? Anybody? I guess I'll have to make my own movie then. Here's what we'll do. I'll get me and a couple of big guys with axe handles and we'll go over to Craven's house. We'll take turns holding the camera while the others beat him to an unrecognizable pulp. Yeah. A snuff flick. Cool. As long as we don't cuss a lot we'll probably still be able to get an R rating.

    Running out of steam

    by niiiice

I think what made Scream fresh and original the first time around was already beginning to get stale the second time around. I know, I know, Scream was originally envisioned as a trilogy, but the whole irony of the "it's really poking fun at the horror genre" thing doesn't require two sequels to come across. So basically all we have to look forward to is the same thing any other slasher film has to offer: lots of pretty faces getting killed lots of different ways.

    Trepidation

    by joe buck

is what I await this movie with. I'm hoping for the best, but fear the worst. I'm also one of those few who actually liked the 2nd one as well but I really don't know if this will work a 3rd time. At least we get a horror movie, there hasn't been one for several months.

    Puff Daddy's the Killer!!!!!!!!!

    by rolande

But Jennifer Lopez's ass gets chased by Randy, who finally catches up with it, only to be swallowed whole. No, seriously, it amazes me that Talkbacks on Scream 3 exist in anything but a satirical vein. As Johnny said to Ponyboy in the Outsiders, " ...stay Gold..."

    Scream never needed a sequel

    by badashe

I know that it was written as a trilogy, but in my opinion, it never needed one. It angers me when these people cannot leave well enough alone. I realize that Hollywood is a business and the more money they can make the better. However, I think the viewing public would be willing to spend more time at the theaters if they knew that they were getting something original. There are plenty of good horror novels and short stories that could make great films, The Totem being one of them. Now the screenplay that get leaked to the net was actually pretty good. I liked the fact that the 2 ghostfaces were running around a t the same time. It built up more tension and suspicion between the characters in the story. Ah well. BTW, have you people seen that Megan girl from Scr3am.net site. She is a knockout. She lives here in H-town too. Hmmm... I guess I couldn't ask her what her favorite scary movie is.

this movie is going to suck

    by giancarlo

The first one was the best. They should've just left it like that instead of doing all these stupid sequels

Jay and Silent Bob make cameos in Scream 3.....really.

    by eric draven

Yup, its true...look for a cameo by Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith respectivly). If, in case ya dont know who they are, well, Kevin Smith is the writer and director of Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma. Jay and Silent Bob are characters in all 4 movies. I just dont see how they will fit into the Scream movie...although, i did hear that Scream 3 will have more comedy than the other 2....which, ya know...sucks ass. Let a horror movie be a horror movie.....however, being the HUGE Kevin Smith fan i am....i think it will be pretty damn funny to see 'ole Bluntman and Cronic themselves in the latest of Scream movies!

I have high hopes for this movie...

    by all thumbs

But you know what they say, "Hope for the best, expect the worst so you won't be let down." Here's some reasons why this will be a better final Scream machine: fresh blood (the writers), less blood and more satire/suspense, Wes Craven taking this in a way similar to "A New Nightmare," and...Jenny McCarthy might die in it!!!! Ok, that said, I think the first movie was brilliant and the second so-so, although I loved the great twist in the end of having the mother be a killer and not the son (a switch of the "Friday the 13th series"). I like how they're going with expanding out of Woodsboro, but I agree with the person who said they can't be wandering all around. I think the perfect "killer" setting will be the movie set that looks like Woodsboro. Irony is a great addition to suspense, you know...

    Darth Bond

    by niiiice

Good point. But another flaw of horror movies is that they carry on far too long to the point of tedium and mindless redundancy. How far does Scream need to go to make that point?

Neve Campell should be the killer in Scream 3, dontcha think?

    by eric draven

...i think they should totally make Neve Campell the killer in Scream 3...think about it...half of this chicks life has been trying to deal with all her friends and family getting hacked up...wouldn't ya think that would do some psychological damage to a person?...they should make Sydney crack, and give her a second personality, so the whole movie, she and the others are looking for the killer, when all along, it's her....and when she sais "the killer was just here" and they cant find 'ole ghostface, well, it was all in her head...she hallucinating 'cause she is all psychologically fucked up....thats how i would make it...what are your thoughts?

    Is it just me???

    by joel

is it just me or is there a huge backlash to the whole Scream series. As you may well know, backlashes are usually a result of no hoper wannabes looking for a way to take out their fustrations on a damn fine film series. YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK!

Why I will see Scream 3...

    by burninbullwinkle

    1. Jay and Silent Bob cameo. (There is a reason I was at the first showing of Dogma at our local theater and it ain't because I was protesting).
    2. Jenny McCarthy cameo. Maybe I'm the only one who thought her MTV sketch series was funny. Maybe I'm the only person that loved Baseketball. I don't care. Jenny rules.
    3. Randy cameo. I was very pissed off when he was killed in the second movie. So I'm keeping that tiny glimmer of hope in my mind that he was actually a mastermind behind the first two and faked his death only to show up in the third. OK< so it aint' gonna happen, but I can dream.
    4. I actually liked Scream 2. Sure it wasn't as good as the first one. It was too polished, Randy died, etc. But I still enjoyed it and it had lots of great stuff. The "Ewoks! hah hah... They blow." The Tori Spelling cameo after the "with my luck" comment in the first one. KnowwhutImean?
    5. Parker Posey. Screen goddess.

Maybe they aren't good reasons, but they warrant a viewing in the dollar theater.

Why I will see Scream 3...

    by burninbullwinkle

BTW, Buffy is one of the true gems on TV today. And with MST3K cancelled and X-Files in it's (probably) final season, not to mention the loss (sob) of my beloved DC adaptation animations, This is about the only good show left! Well, OK, there's still 7 Days, but that's more like Dukes of Hazzard compared to Buffy's A-Team. ;)

I cannot wait for Scream 3!!!

    by geekbasher 3.0

I cannot wait for this movie because Parker Posey rules and the Scream movies are just plain entertaining! Then after Scream 3 I am dying to see Pitch Black, can't wait for that one either!
I have forced myself not to read anything on Scream 3, unlike when Scream 2 came out, I followed that shit like flies in a bathouse, ok that was gross, sorry...I learned the less you know about a film the better it is, where did I learn it? Up Harry's ass!

    William Zabka is the killer!

    by dirty sanchez

The truth revealed! The killer is played by William Zabka! He is angry at trilogies because he was left out of "Karate Kid III". He will be revealed in the final act, complete with tight designer jeans, Members-Only jacket and blow-dried hair. ZABKA RULES!
