Based on the results of the 2008 Presidential election, the title of Sarah Pailn's new documentary, THE UNDEFEATED, doesn't seem all that accurate. But that may be a life mantra and not necessarily a fact statement. Either way, her film will be released July 15th at AMC Theatres across the country. Right now the cities will be Houston, Orlando, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Phoenix, Indianapolis, and Orange County. If the film becomes successful, it's possible this will open wider.
I try not to get political here at AICN - and I'm not going to do so now - but since this is opening here in Houston in July, I'll probably end up seeing it. Hopefully some of my Austin friends will drive down and go with me. I definitely have an opinion on the whole thing, as I'm sure many of you do, but... oh hell. This is a comedy, right? It definitely seems primed for next year's elections, at any rate. This opens the same weekend as a film that has witchcraft in it. Coincidence?
