Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Ever since seeing Spaceballs as a child I always seem to get all smiley when I see a picture of actors standing next to their doubles. So, today we celebrate industry doubles with this shot of young Jodie Foster and her double on the set of Taxi Driver.
You know how great this film is, so I’ll keep my praise short, but I will say that as much as I like Mean Streets, Taxi Driver is the flick that really made me a Martin Scorsese fan. There’s a natural effortlessness to this movie that is hard to ignore. Everything is right in the world when Robert De Niro is crazying up the joint.

*Pssst. I am told that's Jodie Foster's older sister. Connie. I knew Foster's sister doubled her in her early films, like The Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane, but didn't know for sure if that was her... still don't, but people who are smarter than me think it's her, so there you have it.

Will this site's Talkback setup ever drag itself, naked and frightened, into the forum capabilities of today? We need features like Ignore and Report. I'm with you in that. I have no idea what is in the works for TB upgrades, but there's a lot of cool stuff that could be done and keep the beautiful simplicity of the talkback interface. I'd hate to see TB get overly complicated, but there's definite room for improvement.

Just a double. Minors have restrictions on how many hours they can work so a double comes in handy. She was probably used as a stand in, or in over the shoulder shots when Jodie couldn't be on set.

There is no language here or anywhere else that offends me, but I'd prefer it not to be on the home page, especially if I'm looking something up while one of my kids is hanging over my shoulder. I know enough to stay out of the TBs with an inappropriate local audience, but if I come back to show someone a poster or a trailer and there's a big FUCKIN BITCH ASSHOLE something on the home page, it's uncomfortable. I appreciate the courtesy as much as I appreciate the uncensored commentary here.
