ScoreKeeper Has Five DC Showcase CDs To Giveaway...Superman/Shazam! Green Arrow! Jonah Hex! And More!

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here fresh off giving away copies of the uber-cool THE X-FILES box set to deliver yet another chance to win soundtracky goodness. Of course, besting the X-FILES will be pretty difficult to top but who cares, it's still great!

La-La Land Records seems to be accelerating full-throttle on their quest to release as much superhero based film and television music as they can get their hands on. No single label in the world has devoted so much time and energy bringing this music to the masses. Another notch on the wall comes in the form of the DC Showcase Animated Shorts which La-La Land released a couple of months ago.

The album features the scores for four animated shorts including "Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam," "Jonah Hex," "Green Arrow," and "The Spectre" all composed by Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn, otherwise known as The Track Team.

I've got five copies of the soundtrack here desperate to find new homes and loving ears to feed them.

Here's what you have to do to stake a claim on your chance at winning one...

Email me at using the subject: DC CD ME PLEASE! and include your name, mailing address, a valid email address, and your top choice for the next DC storyline that would translate into a good animated short film.

I'll collect all the entries and then randomly select five winners who will each be receiving a copy of THE DC SHOWCASE ORIGINAL SHORTS CD courtesy of La-La Land Records. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, May 31st at 11:59pm EST. One entry per person. International entries will be accepted. Duplicates will be discarded.

Part of me wants to say Killing Joke

But realistically, that'll never get made. More realistically? Hush. Pleeeease make Hush.

  • With apologies to the producers of "Green Lantern," "The Dark Knight Rises," and "The Man of Steel," they're in a Space Race moment with Marvel Comics now. It's 1959 and while DC's fiddling with chimps and rockets, Marvel is cranking out films like the Russians were crankin' out husky female cosmonauts! Give us "The Flash," "Shazam!" and maybe even "Wonder Woman!"
