So - I sent an email to that address and I got sent the following from Selina Kyle, the pic's name was "friendorfoe.jpg" - and makes me wonder where else "TheFireRises" will appear. so - is that Anne Hathaway?

Either way, it's gonna be tough to make the character of Catwoman anything but ludicrous unless she's some sort of Wall Street power player, that Wayne has to beat in the boardroom. No woman is as physically strong as a man of Bruce Wayne's size, so there can be no actual 'fight'.

Look at the creases on the left arm, the left wrist/hand area and the lighting on the back. It may be a shop of another photo of this same suit with her body turned a bit, but it's the same latex suit.

i don't even really know what that means. all i am saying is that the first two movies in the series are pretty serious and deal with some weighty themes. catwoman in and of herself does not add anything weighty, and her only usefulness would be to create some romantic tension or just go for a flightier tone. is that what is required here? do we need a more fun third installment? the set up has been for something pretty dramatic. this defeats it somewhat. how do you handle a character like this in the context of the first two movies? here's batman outlawed by gotham, chased by police, run to ground even though he's the hero... but don't worry, here's catwoman to offer a romantic subplot.

like dark knight returns for instance. there's some gravitas to that story, but we don't have catwoman around to offer levity do we. i know selina kyle or whatever her name is, is in that story, but mostly as a washed up has-been. if hero worship and emulation is the game here, i would prefer to see something new. catwoman is a silly concept and i can't see her being handled well enough for a movie with such high (and well-deserved) expectations. who cares if this is an actual picture of her or not? she needs to be removed from this movie, quick.

just kidding, just kidding. if nolan commits to the concept of catwoman, he will have to show her as catwoman. there's not much i think you can do to expand the character. not formidable enough to challenge batman, can only be a distraction. there should be enough to chew on in the 3rd movie without introducing this character. i suppose i must trust in mr. nolan's vision though. as for the riddler... perhaps i am missing something, but was that ever a serious consideration? i doubt it. it's like the penguin. how could they ever show that character in this universe? the tone has been set as being realistic, even gritty, it all comes crumbling down if we saunter off into la-la fantasy land now. let's not!

Arguably as great as VACATION, both are comedy classics. No smarmy reply for THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY? Probably because there isn't anything you can say, TGTBTU is an all-time classic and on another level from the first two. Just that movie alone negates your entire theory, but several talkbackers have been kind enough to mention others such as GOLDFINGER. Which is probably the best entry in a 22 film series. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be a great third film, Christopher Nolan envisioned this as a trilogy from day one and he will complete it in spectacular fashion.

Goggles look photoshopped, catwoman looks pasted on a black BG. I would be VERY surprised if this is real. There is a part of me that kind of wants Nolan to go a little goofier/comic than real/gritty but I don't think this fits very well. Then again, Bane looks a little off from reality with his mask/apparatus. I have a feeling his version of Catwoman will be more matte black, more swat team-ish design, probably still have a whip.

When I saw for the first time the phrase Why So Serious with the Joker panda eyes and the bat "mouth" I thought it perfectly captured the Joker's m.o., even without me having yet heard Heath utter the words in the trailer, or even in the movie itself (both versions were different from each other). That said, maybe Bane or whoever says it (if at all) in the movie will give it more gravitas (spl). Also, Bane seems to me wanting to prove that he is the true heir to Ra's Al Ghul, and that maybe one of the reasons he's out the "break" Batman.

Nolan takes a realistic approach to his Batman films. He asked the question. What would a man dressed up as a bat really be like? What would the Joker be like? The Scarecrow? The Joker isn't wearing a costume. It's just what he wears. There's no getup. That's one of the things I love about Nolan's Batman. The Scarecrow likes to put the mask on but just when puts them under a trance. It's weird but realistic if you're a crazy person. This cat woman pic though harkins back to the cheesy days of Batman. I hate it!

Man, that scene (SPOILER) in the hospital with the hedge trimmer is once of my favorite scares in film. Besides the seemingly squared-off jaw and hint of a 5-o-clock shadow, look at the figure: Too narrow all the way down! Maybe they'll take a similar approach with the actual costume (if there even is one, which I kind of doubt given she's only credited as Selina Kyle), but this looks more like a very thin, feminish man with cross-dressing and drag experience being photographed from behind in a Catwoman costume. Even if this does somehow come from the "official" site, my guess is it's a decoy, of sorts - a trick to make people expect that, since the photo of Bane was real, maybe this is, too.

Kinda weird it's still posted. Or that it hasn't been updated with an explanation or "oops". The longer it stays up, as is, the weirder this site comes across. It's not a huge deal, of course (much bigger, more important things going on in world, etc.), but being that all this site does is talk about movies, you'd think they'd focus on that and clear up silly things like this ASAP. Odd. This site needs: 1. Design/typography overhaul (I hate the big bold, chunky font in every article) 2. Standardized style for writing (movie titles in italics, vs. all-caps, punctuation consistency, etc.) 3. A freakin' EDITOR (or, at the very least, some college English or writing major interns who can clean up the grammar, spelling and syntax lapses...some of Harry's pieces are simply too challenging to read these days). I hate to sound like I'm piling on or taking cheap, easy shots, but this site is in major need of a cleaner, leaner redesign/updating and some tightening up. Anyway...this is not Catwoman. At least not any official Nolan/WB idea or release. That's been proven at least six times above. Now the fun part: who could do something that actually looks legit? Fire up your favorite image editor...

I believe Bane was picked because he's the only Batman villain capable enough of killing Batman. Bane's well known catchphrase, "Break the Bat". Bane is famous for being the Batman villain to break Batman's back. Plus, Bane had a history with Ra Al Ghul which will make sense with the trilogy. I'm also pretty sure Bane was picked because that character could bring us some great action scenes. Just my 2cents.
