Really Surprised We Haven't Seen an Osama Episode

    by smeyer44

Though this episode looks like it has potential, I think I'll be dissapointed every episode they ignore it. Then again, it could be tough to top "We Got 'Em!"

I don't think we'll see an Osama episode because we already had the "We Got 'Em" one.

Maybe we'll see something about Seal Team 6 or the porn they found.

haven't they alluded to it already in this series?

    by iwasinjuniorhighdickhead

The 'we got tooth decay!' line and something in the second episode as well, I think?

  • I do wonder if his and Celine Dion's baby came out "ugly" lol

They alluded to Osama on the Tyler Perry episode

    by rsanta74

They buried Perry and Obama talked about justice being done, a direct ref to his Bin Laden speech.

I'd rather they NOT do another Bin Laden episode. I think that they ended it off fairly well with Cartman dealing with him Bugs Bunny style. If we must do a Bin Laden ep, put him in Hell and give Satan and Saddam something to do again.

One good show so far this season

    by natalieportmansyummyafterbirth

Hopefully this one will be good. And to think, they had the balls to rip on Family Guy. Atleast I get a laugh or two from them weekly. South Park, not so much.

In the South Park universe, bin Laden is already dead...

    by prof. pop-cult

And he was shot point-blank in the mountains of Tora Bora by a U.S. Special Forces soldier.

To clarify, bin Laden in the South Park universe was killed in 2001...

    by prof. pop-cult

It was an awful, unfunny episode that was meant to be an homage to a Bugs Bunny anti-Japanese WWII propaganda cartoon short. But it came off as nationalistic, fantasy-wanking as an emotional reaction to 9/11 which happened just a week prior to the episode.

Actually, SP Bin-Laden was killed last season

    by aka_gern_blanston

In the Jersey Shore ep, when they got help from Bin Laden and the Taliban to defeat the smelly wankers from Jersey. Then, at the end of the ep, As they're thanking OBL and talking about how they were able to look past their differences, when a commando drops in from the roof and shoots an unarmed OBL point blank and Randy shouts "We got him!".

    How the fuck

    by nightarrows

could someone not find South Park still funny?
Season 14 had some of the best episodes they've ever done. The Nascar episode was fucking GOLD, and Cartman taming the Cthulhu? Fucking hilarious.

The human Centipad episode this season was also quite hilarious.

lol I was just talkin about the Cthulhu episiode with someone

    by mrjonz72

That was some good stuff...lol BP I mean DP drilling to far to open a portal to another universe releasing Cthulhu, the Merry Melodies parody. The Clockwork Orange spoof, Cartman singing Faith, Mint Berry Crunch being the actual chozen one. I can go on and on. I may have to rewatch that one again...soon

    Medicinal Fried Chicken

    by dirkd13"

Is the standard to which I hold all South Park to. That episode is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Human Centipad was not too far short but the other two eps have been middling imho.

The Cthulhu was some of the funniest shit I've seen in South Park! Him wiping out Burning Man? Fucking BRILLIANT.

At first I thought Cartman flying around on Cthulhu was a spoof of the Never Ending Story and Falcor!
    "Fuck you allllll"
    Awesome.

Cartman was once just a spoiled, fat little brat. They've evolved him into an unholy monster of brilliance "It can read, and make Kyle eat shit?" HAHAHAHA (that quote is wrong but I can't find it...)

Already this is a better episode than the last 2

    by performingmonkey

The last 2 episodes have to go down as some of the worst in the show's history. I've never wanted to stop watching mid-episode until last week's when the kids were reciting the tooth decay play for like the 3rd time... Admittedly, Mackay shouting at the kids was funny, so I guess it wasn't a total loss, but jesus christ Matt and Trey really need to pull this season back FAST.

the three part coon series was not that funny

    by jsfithaca

but almost everything else from season 14 was amazing. tale of scrotie mcboogerballs, medicinal fried chicken, insheeption, you cant get better than that. season 15 i think we can all agree had a funny premiere but the last couple have fallen flat, (except for the tyler perry bit). this week sounds funny though

Come on now last weeks was not that bad

    by mrjonz72

The return of Ugly bob and Scott. Again i still want to know if Ugly Bob and Celine'ss baby came out ugly. The Inuits, The entire Osama referencing without it being a straight up parody. There was a few more things as well. The tooth decay play was definitely parodying the Sesame Street tooth decay stuff. While a descent parody of SS not a great one..but far from bad..same thing I felt about last weeks episode..good but not one of the greats..definitely not one of the worsts.

They missed a golden opportunity with this episode...

by shut the fuck up donny

At some point they should have had the Japanese governmental officials from the Chinpokomon episode appear and again concede how small *their* penises are...

It would have added some extra perspective on the fact that the Japanese really are having a shitty time right now and how groups within the US are getting pissed over some trivial issues in comparison...

Finafuckingly! The best episode in years!

    by _maltheus_

I was starting to think this show was irredeemable. All I wanted to do was laugh one last time before it went off the air and I was laughing my balls off through most of it. Especially the first 2/3. This was like a S1-5 ep. Why can't they do that more often?

    No stupid gimmicks or references...

    by _maltheus_

...just old school childhood misinterpretation. That's what made the old eps so good. And Randy is what makes the news ones occasionally good. Throw in a little rage of Cartman, a la Tenorman and you've got a new classic.

One joke repeated incessantly for the entire episode? Nothing for Stan, Kyle, or Kenny to do at all? No interesting b-plot?

Please don't demean the greatness of seasons 1-5 with a comparison.

When Seasons 1 and 2 came out, they were like nothing we'd ever seen before and I loved the hell out of them, but they have not aged particularly well. Season 7 or 8 is where it started to become a great show.

    Agreed richard

    by nightarrows

I was floored at the first season of South Park, but like The Simpsons first couple of seasons, they just don't age well.

I can watch them, but season 4 is where they really started to gather steam and it just got better and better.

So I was off a bit in saying season 1 and 2 "sucked"...

See, this is why the show is no good anymore

    by natalieportmansyummyafterbirth

They are all up on this "timely" shit, with their episodes. Trying to be the first to 'comment" on a current news story. Enough of it, more times, then not, it doesn't work. Conentrate on WRITTING quality episodes. Lord knows you take enough time off between "half seasons" to write some good stuff.

Skeletor, Terminator 5 stuff.... ya, wasn't funny...

    You're fucking serious?

    by nightarrows

The timely "shit" is exactly what elevates the show. The Whale Wars show was fucking hilarious.
I guess they should write more episodes with zombie goldfish?

I laughed maybe once. So far this season overall has been pure shit. I wonder if Parker & Stone's broadway play had anything to do with the decline of South Park this season.
