L.A. Readers! THE BLUES BROTHERS! One Night Only At The New Beverly! Hosted By Scot Armstrong! With Guests Jeff Garlin And Bob Odenkirk!

Apologies for the ludicrous short notice, but this is important.
Tonight (Friday, May 13th) at The New Beverly Cinema, a few favorite sons of Chicago will be presenting one of the greatest Chicago films of all time. It's THE BLUES BROTHERS on the big screen! In glorious 35mm! The way it was meant to be seen! And when it's all over, screenwriter Scot Armstrong will be joined by Jeff Garlin, Bob Odenkirk and possibly more famous Chicago natives to discuss the film and their love for the Windy City! All for $7!
And since it's the New Beverly, there will be a second feature - and it's a doozy. Joel & Ethan Coen's 1987 classic, RAISING ARIZONA. Again, in 35mm, on the big screen.
The fun starts at 7:30 PM. Seriously, what better way to end the week than kicking back at the Bev and checking out two of the funniest films of the 1980s with some of the funniest guys in town?

my nana took me to this when it came out. 87 was a good year for me and my nana with ARIZONA and PRINCESS BRIDE. granted by the time i saw PRINCESS BRIDE, my innocence was taken by ROBOCOP in the summer.
