Pics Of A Set From The CLASH OF THE TITANS Sequel!!
Merrick here...
TumbaAbierta has some photos of what looks to be a mostly completed set from WRATH OF THE TITANS (has the WRATH title been officially confirmed yet?) - the sequel to 2010's Louis Leterrier-directed CLASH OF THE TITANS remake.
I'm assuming that little white pick up truck won't appear in the movie itself...but if they shoehorn in the line "What do The Gods need with a pick-up?"...that would be a pretty special film indeed.

IN 3D?!?!??!?!???!??!????
-
and fails. Remember when they used to break leaked pics NOT from other sites? Yeah. I remember that, as well.
-
I mean, really?
-
He was pretty awesome.
-
Near the end of the film Jason gets a flying horse and flies hundreds of miles back to Greece, but when he gets there, his buddies, who were traveling on foot are there waiting for him.
-
It's really going to come together nicely, I was on set for some filming and the film looks just as beautiful as the first. Speaking of the first, It's common knowledge that the studio butcherd my orginal script and edit of the film but i;'ve been told that a full directors cut bluray will be on its way in 2012. so all of you can finally see our true vision for this moden masterpeice
-
A few of the actors from the first one stayed in a hotel where my friend works and apparently that Gemma Arteton was walking round in her skimpies brazen as fuck. She also said that Jason Flemyng was a genuinely nice man.
-
...is a TRANSFORMER!?

Holy Crap!!! You can embiggen those pictures. We get to see the wooden carts BIGGER????? Wow what a treat. Great exclusive AICN.

I honestly think this picture will be MUCH closer to the original books, and as the writer envisioned the story as.. um.. because.. I ..um.. ah who the fuck am I trying to kid? That last (first) film was terrible, tripping endlessly over it's own stupidity and counter productive gaps in both plot and logic... :( This won't be any better, and the ONLY reason I am willing to even consider seeing it will be for Gemma Arterton, who I can't help but long for hopelessly Oh yeah.. TOO FUCKING SILVER!!
-
There were many problems with the first one but I think the biggest flaw was that it was just plain BOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRIIIINNNNNNGGGGG... ZZZzzZZZZzzzzzzzz.......
-

Wait till you see them change the flat tire on that white mini-sedan in 3D!
by LargoJr
It's going to be as if the lug-nuts fell right out off the studs, out of the screen, and into your lap! Now you TOO can play with your newly discovered nuts just like your little brother does habitually!
-
Gemma's ass aint gettin' waxed without a little help damnit!
-
We were all pleased with the business it did, infact warner brothers locked me in for an addition 5 scripts based soley on how happy they were with what i wrote for the first film
-
By the mighty Toyotus!
-
yes it's true, I'm a big admirer of Harryhausen but that is not the reason why I thought the new clash was horrid. I thought it was horrid as it lacked charm and heart. It doesn't matter how good or bad the cg is. The original Clash came from a good place, you can practically feel the passion that went into making it. I felt that the new version was like filming by numbers, nothing really outstanding or even original!

Can't get Anchorman 2 greenlighted, but this shit gets a sequel???
by SifoDyasJr
Also, I wonder what was going through the minds of Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes when they were filming Clash 1, considering the last time they worked together they both were nominated for Oscars in one of the most acclaimed films of all time?
-
You need to go back to the year 1985 BC or your ancestors never would have met at that fishing village!
-
Flash Gordon. I want to see the god's battle armor
-
And then they made it even worse with the lens flare aura bullshit.
-
I was baked out of my mind when I saw it though

...WOODEN CARTS!
-
Seems like it's been awhile.
-
And I have very low standards. What a complete, wasted opportunity it was. Lets see how bad the sequel is.
-
What a terrible, terrible actor you are.
-
Can own this wonderful water wheel crane-a-majigger! All for the low low price of 1000 gold! Just call 246-52-CLASH, that's 246-52-CLASH! Act NOW!

In the next 30 minutes we'll throw in some shoddy wooden carts and clay pots absolutely FREE!

You say you want a half built boat that'll sink like a stone? Well, just refer a friend to our fabulous offer and you'll get our half-built-sink-like-a-stone-boat as your free gift!
-
Somebody had to do something to spice up these otherwise boring pictures. Just some set pieces that will probably be in shot for less than ten seconds and forgotten about. Nothing to see here folks.
-
...the BOAT TRAILER OF POSEIDON!
-
I wasn't that enthused about this sequel, especially as it was a sequel to a steaming pile of shit. But now I know there will be wooden carts and a wheel-crane thing I'm completely stoked and ready for ancient Greek orgasms.

Right, so this site thinks 'clash of the twats 2' is cooler than TDKR pictures...So sad.

*is a sequel.
-
"No Subject is a Sequel"
-
enough said.
-
Sure, it didn't live up to the original and yes the 3D sucked, but overall it was good old fashioned filmmaking. Hatas gonna hate.
-
wants a sequel.
-
Im serious, the guy just mumbled through the entire first movie. Why bother even having a human in that role? If someone with charisma or a heartbeat played that character it might have been pretty good. Whats the logic having a walking cardboard man in such a big budget flick? Its like they WANT it to be lousy.
-
is the 1st one on netflix streaming?

It's great to know you haven't got so lofty that you won't talk to the little people. Can you tell us how things are going with PROMETHEUS?

That little white pick up truck will be in WRATH OF THE TITANS...
by Arafel
...because it has a time travel plot that you just ruined by publishing this photograph. It was supposed to be a huge surprise at the end of the movie that was going to tie right in with the 3rd movie, which takes place in the present. HOWEVER, you just fucked that up so thanks a lot....

Reboot this with Chris Hemsworth and I'll be interested!
by CeejayNightwing
Sam Worthington is totally lacking an ounce of charisma which his fellow countryman Chris Hemsworth is overflowing with. The first film was a tedious chore to sit through and unless they replace that deadpan lead, this second movie is an ultimate no-no!
-
...seems that every movie ever discussed here is a masterpiece or a steaming pile of shit. No middle ground. Such is the Internet comment section generation. The movie was simply average, it wasn't Howard the Duck.
-
is it that hard to pull Val Kilmer out of the Dunkin Doughnuts
-
Because the one in theaters was a mess. The whole theme about I hate the Gods but will save them and work with them, was just a real wtf for the whole film. So I hope a directors cut could clean that up. And I agree with Harry that the absences of the romance hurt the film too. It really seemed like they wanted to make a God of War (video) movie, and shoehorned it into a Clash of the Titans remake. Shame.

Yeah, can't believe there hasn't been a post about the TDKR and the possible Lazarus Pit
by Scott
AICN is usually behind on these things (X-Men: First Class clip), but not days behind
-
I think the device in the first pic is a Michael Bay script generator.
-
where the black gods play football against the white gods to gain respect? Because that sounds awful...

You guys do know there were pics of a "pit" taken from the Dark Knight Rises set
by Nick
Including reports that it could be the lazarus pit or a possible bath that a young Bane used as a child to increase his strength and intelligence... according to reports...

Ahhhhhhhhh!!

This sites kind of unenthusiastic response to Nolan. It's almost at Ratner proportions.

Can't wait for the Home Depot and Pep Boys tie-ins.

The first film STANK. Retro-fitted 3D couldn't save it. A Big Wheel and a Cart aint going to save the sequel. Is THIS really BREAKING NEWS?

Cart and Big Wheel porn? Is there a website for that? I've clearly led a sheltered life.

I REALLY APPRECIATE THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN MAKING THOSE PROPS
by BSB
This is what movie-making should be. Not sterile CGI backgrounds. Real environments built by artists devoted to the craft of recreating worlds for us to visit. And yes. I am being serious!

Props to da prop peeps.

Especially when it sucks.
-
http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/167223-first-dark-knight-rises-set-photo-leaked LAZARUS PIT FTMFW!!!!1 on a less positive note, I guess this really brings it home for me about Ain't It Cool. It's like being in denial for so long until you actually get to see the x-ray of how far the Super-Aids has spread. I have no idea why this isn't linked up on here yet. Now yeah, they're just pics of various peoples, Lazarus Pits in a desert in India, but this movie is kind of a BIG FUCKIN DEAL. C'mon AICN - get your shit together. This is sad. Srsly.
-
Do you like that headline Quint?
-
You're all the same to me anyway.
-
But going batcrazy excited over a pit? What am I missing here?
-
The last few pictures of the boat from a couple weeks ago made me lose my shit!
-
probably because the carts and the water-wheel are from a set for the sequel to "Clash Of The Titans" those other pics are from a set for the sequel to "The Dark Knight". end case/
-
I like the first one like I like SW EPs I-III. I don't love them and they weren't as good as I was expecting, but I still like them. That's how I feel about the Clash of the Titans remake, too. I always feel like I need to add that I ONLY saw it in 2D. Never seen it in 3D and I think that lessened my hatred a bit.
-
I enjoyed Clash of the Titans as a fun entertaining film. I chose not to see it in 3d. I also Enjoyed Prince of Persia. It was also just a fun entertaining film. I will go see Wrath and I would see a Persia sequel if they made one.
-
= No ticket sale for me.
-
They are just filming in a primitive region of Canada.
-
this should not be made. they should cancel production now. round up all the cash they would've wasted on this trash. and give it to people that actually need it. fuck you
-
such ground breaking news. this site isn't dead at all. PS - did you hear Harry has an iPad? WHAT NEWS
-
some of that wood looks aged and distressed. obviously they're going to great lengths to...oh...fuck it.
-
Although I think the car lets it down, a bit like Kirk Douglas's fillings..
-
they should build real carts.

The Huffington Post, Hilary Moss, First Posted 04/21/11: A new study out of the University of Bologna suggests that using plus-size models on the catwalk and in advertisements could make women fat. In their paper "Thinness and Obesity: A Model of Food Consumption, Health Concerns, and Social Pressure," Dr. Davide Dragone and Dr. Luca Savorelli cite the relationships between Italy, Germany and Spain and their respective fashion communities to produce more plus-sized clothes and uphold a minimum size for models. They write: When reading the content of the agreements, it is clear that both the government and the fashion industry agree that fashion is a powerful trend-setter. It not only influences what clothes, styles and colors are trendy, but also determines how a person should appear to be desirable. Okay, so fashion is apparently super-influential. Dragone and Savorelli add: If people are underweight and stay on a diet, increasing the ideal body weight allows both aggregate welfare and health to be improved. If people are overweight and on a diet, however, increasing the ideal body weight can improve overall utility, but it worsens health because it induces people to become even more overweight. And, "Given that in the US and in Europe people are on average overweight, we conclude that these policies, even when are welfare improving, may foster the obesity epidemic." The pair also said, according to the Daily Mail, in plain language, "To promote chubby fashion models when obesity is one of the major problems of industrialised countries seems to be a paradox. Everyone has to trade off in life a number of things like the pleasure of eating and going to the gym or something as a cost. So if you just fix the average healthy weight then maybe you will throw up some incentives to be thin." Um, so far, seeing plus-size models hasn't made us any bigger. And watching size zero models lurch down the catwalk hasn't made us any skinnier, either -- if anything it's made us simultaneously revolted and ravenous. What do you think?
-
.....but this time try to act.
-
Nice cut and paste job detour story on an stupid article about a bunch of carts on a beach.
-
In addition to the pickup truck, look for placements of A-B beer, Bolinger, Virgin Air, Rolex watches, Sony and... oh, sorry, my mistake... this isn't a James Bond film.
-

They are already making it??? Holy crap! Good movies are hard to get them made, but shit movies are made in a hurry. Typical Holywood!
by AsimovLives

I maintain that the only reason Americans tend to be overweight these days is a sedentary lifestyle and the abundance of cheap, unhealthy food. The problem has compounded with each generation. Period.
-
May 12, 2011, 11:47 a.m. CST
Oprah is the reason most American women are overweight, not runway models!
by THE_CHOPPAH
Who gives a $hit about runway models anyway other than male celebrities and gay guys?
-
Mainly because the script got ripped to shreds during production and editing, leaving significant roles and most of the plot on the cutting room floor. Adding the atrocious 3D was just dripping on the turd. The only sign of hope for Wrath is that everyone involved with Clash seems to acknowledge how bad it was.
-
cause there's no way in hell that the first film has warranted a sequel. NO FUCKING WAY!
-
I love games these days.
-
Those be some sexy goddamn wooden and stony things though.
-
...but who the fuck is this Jetl93 guy??? It's a wind-up, surely?
-
That really made me laugh! Good job, friend.
