Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Zombieland was exactly my cup of tea, one of the better comedy horror films (comedy first, horror film second, not horror/comedy like Evil Dead 2... that's the kind of shit I spend lonely nights thinking about...) to be put out by a big studio.
A big part of the success of Zombieland can be attributed to director Ruben Fleischer's eye. I mean, his slow-motion opening credits was hilarious in and of itself, let alone how well the rest of the movie played out.
He's got himself a helluva cast here in this tale of a pizza delivery boy who has a bomb strapped to his body and a 9 hour deadline to rob a bank. There's his Zombieland buddy, Jesse Eisenberg, as well as Danny McBride, Michael Pena, Nick Swardson, Aziz Ansari and Fred Ward... Did you hear me? FRED Motherfuckin' WARD! Pardon my French.
