ScoreKeeper Finds A Box Of Medals In La-La Land!

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here lost in wonderment and awe yet again at La-La Land Records. Oh, what have they been up to?

Do you like video games? Do you like video game scores? Do you like the scores for the MEDAL OF HONOR video game? Which one? How about ALL OF THEM!!

Starting Tuesday, La-La Land Records will be taking orders for their new MEDAL OF HONOR SOUNDTRACK COLLECTION box set featuring eight jammed-packed discs of music from MOH composers Michael Giacchino, Christopher Lennertz, and Ramin Djawadi. I'm still in school when it comes to video game scores; however, this would certainly earn me a PhD in one of the most popular franchises in game history.

 



As if that wasn't enough coolness from one company for one day...

La-La Land is also releasing a 2-disc expanded score of Jerry Goldsmith's FIRST KNIGHT (1995). I absolutely can't wait for this one! Aside from Goldsmith's RUDY (1993), FIRST KNIGHT might be my favorite Goldsmith score from the 1990s.

 

  



Finally, La-La Land is also releasing a CD featuring original soundtracks from the DC SHOWCASE animated original shorts, SUPERMAN/SHAZAM! - THE RETURN OF THE BLACK ADAM which also includes music from JONAH HEX, GREEN ARROW, and THE SPECTRE all composed by Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn.

 

  



The MEDAL OF HONOR box set, FIRST KNIGHT and DC SHOWCASE all go on sale Tuesday, April 12th. Check out La-La Land Records for more information. Keep your eyes and ears peeled...a little birdie just told me I may have CDs of DC SHOWCASE to give away in the near future.

One final bit of news before I depart into the depths of solitary confinement...

Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California, will be hosting a composer signing event on Saturday, April 16th at 2:00PM. Composers scheduled to be in attendance are Jerry Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn (DC SHOWCASE), Christopher Lennertz (MEDAL OF HONOR: SOUNDTRACK COLLECTION, CATS AND DOGS 2, HOP) Cliff Martinez (SOLARIS, LINCOLN LAWYER), Ryan Shore (CONFESSION, JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER), Mark Isham (THE MECHANIC, THE CONSPIRATOR), Stu Phillips (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) and Scott Glasgow (LO).

Bring your CDs and walk out with oodles of autographs!
