A Green Lantern Poster that kicks ass!

Hey folks, Harry here... Right now... I'm dying for CAPTAIN AMERICA. That trailer just owns me. I love it. Whereas that first GREEN LANTERN trailer felt... soft. As though it was scared to really unleash - of course they were early in the effects game back then, but still. It wasn't anywhere near Cap or THOR. Meanwhile, THOR's posters have been a bit underwhelming. That said, I like this GREEN LANTERN poster that was just released at WONDERCON - and damn that looks like a GREEN LANTERN movie. Right?

    Yeah, Boy! Looks Kick-Ass

    by grievenom

I'm digging all the positive vibes coming out about Green Lantern the last couple days. Hope the movie is as good as its potential!

  • April 1, 2011, 10:18 p.m. CST

I can't get over how bad the suits are.

    by Swoomustdie

I'm hoping I am completely proven wrong when the movie hits, but everything I've seen of the suits so far screams fanboy photoshop in those 'dream cast' threads that pop up from time to time.

  • April 1, 2011, 10:18 p.m. CST

Looks great...too bad Reynolds is Jordan.

    by ninpobugei

Otherwise, I think the movie has a hell of a lot of potential. I'm a HUGE GL fan, so the fact that we're getting a big-budget sci-fi GL movie to include the Corps, the Guardians, Oa, Sinestro, etc. is just too cool.

    by FloatingHolmes

As in "Sucks a lot of..." What the hell is it with "comic fans" who fall all over themselves to applaud the dreck that's being put out as faithful adaptions. Yes, Green Lantern kicks ass. I wish he was on that poster instead of Ryan Reynolds and that totally stupid looking mask and suit.

Looks alot like the preliminary designs for Tim Burtons Superman? YouTube it, the effect is similar. I'm pleased as it was a really cool effect but didn't suit supes. Looking forward to this! DC let's go cosmic and give us some boom tube action!!!!!

    I'm sorry, but

    by georgecauldron

this, Thor, and Captain America all look terrible. This is the summer superhero/comic movies begin to die a slow death. The Spidey reboot will kill them off, and Nolan will conclude not only his brilliant trilogy, but also the era of superhero/comic movies. I've had a great ride, but for every good/great superhero movie there have been 3-4 awful ones.

....I'm still laughing as I write this..... I just think its funny... we are to assume the movie will actually rock cause of this?? This looks kick ass...??? Perhaps I'm a lil' underwhelmed because I'm not too familiar with this property. But I do know two things from the poster.... 1. No matter how shiny you make the suit. No Matter how Green you make the suit.. One can not refrain from grimacing knowing a goofy ass Ryan Reynolds is behind the spandex. 2. Less is sometimes more... Remember one of the first Dark Knight posters released? The one batman is standing; looking outside the office window. Now that was KICK ASS!). All kidding aside ...I wished the best of luck to this movie. I'm actually a fan of Martin Campbell. Perhaps he'll make a good movie, considering it's leading star. However, the last time I checked Ryan Reynolds is still in it...plzzz.

    I'll admit it

    by maelstrom_ZERO

I'm a huge GL fan, but a lot of the design choices don't seem to inspire confidence. But the one thing that makes me optimistic despite everything is that Martin Campbell's directing. He directed Mask of Zorro and Casino Royale. . .and if that doesn't inspire confidence, I don't know what would. Mask of Zorro is the perfect swashbuckling adventure in the same vein as those old Errol Flynn movies. It took swordfighting, romance, action, and revenge, and grafted everything into an awesomely enjoyable film. And Casino Royale managed to be similarly enjoyable, despite the utter disaster that was practically every Bond movie before it. With that kind of filmography at his back, I don't see how Campbell would let this film suck. I mean, who knows. Maybe he just wants an easy paycheck. But, Mask of Zorro. And Casino Royale. Could Green Lantern really be that bad. . .?

    by Thanos0145

The cgi costume still doesn't look good. They should've made a practical suit that is illuminated by cgi. Blake Lively was a big miscast as Carol Ferris. Mark Strong looks like he's going to own this movie portraying Sinestro.

    3 complaints

    by PhineasFlynn

From a GL fan: 1) The suit. The silver age Hal Jordan GL suit is iconic. No need to change it for change's sake. "Look, we have CGI tools... let's just paint the suit on. While we're at it, what if we..." 2) Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Should have been Bradley Cooper. 3) Blake Lively as Carol Ferris. Should have been Keri Russell. You know these truths, man.

I'll reserve judgment on the movie...

    by Detached

... til I, you know, see the movie. I loved the poster for Spider-Man 3... and that film could have been better. And while it's true the average moviegoer doesn't know who Green Lantern is- so what? They probably never heard of Iron Man either before the first film, and that made over $300 million. Because it was great. If GL is a good movie, people will go. It's pretty much that simple.

    That shot in the trailer...

    by tomandshell

...where he is standing there in his CGI costume flexing for his roommate for an uncomfortable amount of time--that right there let me know that this movie wasn't going to be quite what I'd like. It's going to be two hours of Ryan Reynolds pausing a few beats after a bad line reading to allow time for audience laughter that won't be there. That's the most uncomfortable silence of all--the kind you hear during unfunny comedies or unexciting action films or unromantic romances. The director gives the audience time to recover from emotional responses that aren't actually happening, and you become more self consciously aware than ever of how the film just isn't working for you. But on the plus side, it will have an overdose of cheap, rushed CGI. The only thing less believable and involving than the flat CGI characters will be the performance of Blake Lively. This will make more money than the Green Hornet, but not much.

I love the cicely of green Lantern, but my knowledge is a bit dodgy. Was not Parallax an evil incarnation of Hal Jordan that destroyed Oa? by bubcus

the poster doesn't "wow" me and neither did the trailers. I like the animated film Warner Brothers came out with a few years ago and I didn't see a need for a live-action version. I also felt Ryan Reynolds was coming off as too comical for this project. I almost felt like I was watching Ben Stiller in the role instead (based on the trailers). I also haven't been wowed by the Thor footage I have seen and the "making of" footage I saw was weak. Captain America is the only super-hero film I am very anxious to see this summer. All others have me hesitant.

    by Kai_Mah'gra

.....Photoshop FTW!!! Well not really for the win; more like Photoshop Epic failure. The perfect visual accompaniment for ....... I KNOW, RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It seems like we'll never get the live action Superhero with the glowy or all-white eyes like in the comics - or rather that little infrared gizmo thingamajig that Batman used in TDK is the closest we'll ever get. So far all attempts have been failures - from Storm in X-Men, to Batman, to now Green Lantern. You would have though with a full CGI suit that if any movie was going to faithfully adapt the glowy eyes look, that GL would have been it. Actually, Iron Man did it, but that was kind of a given, considering the fact that his helmet is mechanical. Just once, I'd love to see a comic-book superhero super-faithfully represented as he is in the comics. The closest for me ever was the original Superman movie. Spiderman came close but the raised webbing ruined it - and the new re-boot massacres the suit completely..

suit looks better, unsure about mask...

    by wierdo27

seems like a lot of trouble to go through. not sure why even a blue or green mask they could have keyed out and replaced with digital, or even just a black mask, or better yet, NO mask, would have been better... seems like the more sense the suit makes as an energy suit, mimics his anatomy, etc., the less sense his mask makes. I mean, if he needs to protect his identity, why not go full mask? a helmet of some sort? I don't know...I'd have to see it in action, but that mask just looks weird. and makes less and less sense as time goes on. but, then again, it's a movie about space cops who wear magic rings and wear green tights, and his space buddies are a space-pig cop and a space-chicken cop. that's right. the movie will probably be cool as hell. and it will co-star, and without irony...a space chicken. (not to mention other green lanterns include: an amoeba, an entire planet...what the hell. bring it on!)

    @ inkingeekx

    by Tristan

My understanding is that Jordan is eventually "infected" by Parallax and becomes evil. What you said occurs and after him briefly becoming good again to make a sacrifice that ends his life. Now remember that they think in trilogies in the biz. The above might actually be the way they end the 3rd film, which would be interesting. I KNOW!! RIGHT???!!

I don't see why you think this poster is so amazing, the trailer makes the film look bad and the poster looks like the cheap posters big stores make to cash in on big movies.

  • April 2, 2011, 4:29 a.m. CST

    Sorry Harry... it's still "meh"

    by catlettuce4

It does suggest a more serious tone than the trailer, but that was actual footage of the film, this is a piece of artwork. Plus, I think WB are in damage control now since the first trailer had so many detractors, with complaints focused on the humor. Doesn't mean they changed the movie, just the marketing. Plus, I think they could have done better with the look of the costume. We'll see. I hope that the first trailer was just an error of which tone they chose to emphasize, and that the movie DOES have a ton of awesome stuff in it. I'm sure they are scrambling, worrying about how to sell the mainstream on this concept of weird alien guys who protect the universe with glowy power rings. They shouldn't be worried, but you know they are.. for some reason they think people can't handle stuff that is too "out there" or imaginative. For the same reason they seriously considered Jack Black for this role at one point (remember that?)

Why don't you wait until you see how his character develops throughout the movie...who knows..maybe by the time it's over he'll be the Hal Jordan you're wanting him to be. OR you could do this. Keep crying about everything all the time and then play the "why can't the studios get this right!" card. OR Get YOUR ass into film making and make a fucking movie. Sure, we all have the right to express our opinions..but when did we all become better casting directors, story writers and directors than 98% of Hollywood?

True. It's just that some of us picture Reynolds in that fat suit in that crap movie where he was the record producer with Anna Faris. But people don't have an intellectual right to piss on his performance based on "I KNOW!! RIGHT??" I'm trusting that he'll bring a bit of gravitas to GL and develop the character. Hopefully Campbell has shown some discipline when directing Reynolds and not allowed for cute improvisation. I mean, look at Bond in Casino Royale. Fuckin' stoic.

    by kiwicanuck

...(as others have alluded to before) ART. And by that I mean painted posters that aren't simple photos accentuated with Photoshop. I realize some of what we see above originates with something other than a mouse-click (Without Ryan Reynolds, the work is intriguing), and I'm not saying that there isn't some decent work that's still being done in the movie poster business...but mostly the action blockbuster stuff is uninspiring. But maybe I'm out of touch? Perhaps some of the old school work would look dated to an audience of adolescents and 20-somethings (a group which I am not a part of). However, to these ancient eyes, both this and the Thor posters look somehow cheap and lack personality or flair of the work of 20, or even 30 years ago or more. Thor's I think, are particularly hindered by a lack of imagination (the marketing, while it may have been effective in the past, is something I've seen too often in recent years, Transformers comes to mind). If any of these films are indeed the epic adventures that I'm hoping for, then none of these new superhero posters are doing a good job. Cap's comes the closest to working because of a moody darkness that's unexpected.

You Guys Are All Missing Something

    by Real Deal

In your attempt to make this film look bad buy picking on what little we've seen of the film as of yet. I couldn't picture Michal Keaton as Batman either. But with the right director a guy in a mask can become that hero. I have never seen this guy in anything. But if he's jumping to another kind of film that can be a clean slate. I don't know how this film will turn out but you guys don't either. Not on what little we've been given so far.

  • April 2, 2011, 9 a.m. CST

    by kiwicanuck

....I still have some hope for this due to the work of Martin Campbell. In fact, due to his record with escapist adventure (Bond, Zorro) to me he seems like a great fit. As much as people are going on about Kenneth Bran., his past doesn't necessarily translate as well to juggling the tones and the action beats of Thor. The sweep, sure, but then I see the trailers, that's one thing that's missing. I still think Cap will succeed, Green Lantern will bring it home unexpectedly, and Thor will serve up turd-topping for your popcorn.

Oh yes, and while I agree Reynolds SEEMS far more suited for the role of The Flash, all the range and depth (along with the natural charisma he's got in spades) he needs to carry an epic movie like this is on display in "Buried." 90 minutes of him alone in a box, and not one false move. My eyes were GLUED. If that doesn't speak to his potential in this (cheesy masks notwithstanding), I don't know what does.

  • April 2, 2011, 9:13 a.m. CST

    by brobdingnag

Keaton was awful as Wayne/Batman. You aren't helping your argument with that and Leger channeling Edward G Robinson as the Joker was no better than Nicholson's turn in the role. If anything Jack just being himself was better than Ledgers contrived horse-shit that only seemed interesting because the rest of the movie was a boring procedural cop show.

Are your lives that disappointing? So much hatred toward so many people involved in entertainment and movies. Do you know what the difference between these negative TB'ers and the people they hate? One group have lives and are making project after another. And they love what they are doing. And the other group spills venom with their hatred of the successful group on internet forums like this. because I still hope for a Justice League film, and we need someone to stand up to Bruce Wayne/Batman who isn't Superman. Hal Jordan/Green Lantern is a policeman and a team player for the oldest law-enforcers in the Galaxy; Bruce Wayne/Batman is a potentially psychotic rogue cop. GL Is Going To Rock and Gil Kane

    by THX1968

From An Earlier Post: It is surprising to me that more people aren't into GL. Surprising because: A) GL pretty much dominates the DC Universe comics at the moment and, B) Martin Campbell is directing the damn thing! Great director. I think the movie looks great. I dig the trailer, and I think the next one will rock it out a little more. Maybe people haven't discovered the pure awesomeness of Hal Jordan. Maybe Warners needs to put it in people's faces a little more. We need some GL Happy Meals or something. Burger King needs to sell some cool GL glasses. GL is by no means a household name, but it shouldn't be that hard to sell the badass. GL was a Super Friend for Julius Schwartz's sake! There shouldn't be any more comparisons to Thor. GL looks like an epic sci-fi drama (yay!), while Thor looks like a Masters of the Universe remake. I'm pulling for GL more than any other summer flick because it seems that many aren't into it, and I think its going to rock. This is going to be a brand spanking new adventure hero, in a brand new movie. C'mon, how cool is that?! It ain't a goddamn reboot, and it ain't a goddamn sequel! I, for one, am looking forward to a new experience. New Addendum: To me, Ryan Reynolds looks just like Gil Kane's take on the character of Hal Jordan, and that is super cool. Yes, Cap looks amazing and I can't wait - CAN'T WAIT - to see it, but I am way, way more intrigued by GL. Hands down. Cap looks just like the way I expected it to. The way I want it to. Cap should feel like Raiders or The Rocketeer, and it does (duh). However, there has never been a take on a full-on GL presentation. We've had Cap before - in two fairly decent TV movies; and we've had Thor (w/ Daredevil, if I remember correctly) in a pretty terrible Incredible Hulk TV movie. I don't know anybody who gives a shit about Thor, for that matter. Thor isn't anybody's favorite super-hero. Nobody I know, at least. GL is different kind of deal, and Warners is sinking a lot of dough into this. I think its time they started to push this a lot more. They're sticking close to the comics, but the art direction looks foreign to me, very strange - and I like that. When I was a kid, I remember thinking Krypton and The Fortress of Solitude looked like shit in Donner's Superman, before I saw the movie itself. Now, I couldn't imagine those films without that design sensibility. They've even adopted the look for the current comics, after many, many years. I have a feeling things will go the same way with GL. Also, I can't stress enough that Martin Campbell is a great, great filmmaker. Far and away, this is the film I am most looking forward to this summer.

  • April 2, 2011, 12:01 p.m. CST

    Okay... I'll admit

    by GroolDemon

A few months back those initial leaks of the suit looked HORRIBLE, though this doesn't look too shabby. The eye mask does still look a little shoddy though. That is the thing with CGI though, you can make it look great on film or you can make it look great as a still, but sometimes it is really hard to make it look great both ways...

    I like Reynolds, BUT

    by inkingeekX

He had two modes-way tooooo serious or way toooo goofy. There's no middle ground. That's what Hal Jordan needs-balance, and Reynolds doesn't have that. He was great as Wade Wilson until they buttfucked the deadpool character, he would be a great Flash, but I just don't buy him as Hal. It has nothing to do with emotion towards the actor, it's the suspension of belief. I look at this and see the goofball from waiting in a terrible CGI suit, I don't see GL

  • The costume and the mask are laughably amateurish. This is the best they can do?

    What Do You Expect?!

    by sirbroiler

If you want Green Lantern like he is in the comics (or any DC hero for that matter) stick to the animation projects. Movies and comics are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MEDIUMS people! Most heroes, with their clown-like costumes, ridiculous powers don't translate well to film in the first place. So you cry until your favorite heroes come to the big screen and then you cry even more every time Green Lantern or your favorite character doesn't look exactly like he did in the comics. All you whiny wanks who proudly proclaim you won't see GL are full of it because these dork movies are the only thing you have to live for.

  • None of the other Green Lanterns have masks. Why does Hal Jordan need one? He ain't fooling anyone who might know him, for sure.

  • April 2, 2011, 1:56 p.m. CST

its just.... not... Green lantern? i dont know what it is. this just does not feel right. the mask does not look right- at all. and i'm usually a sucker for any comic related movie. hope it looks better in motion.

so it take back my comments.

  • April 2, 2011, 2:38 p.m. CST

    by inkingeekX

It's a holdover from the old days. Domino masks were all the rage for a time, some characters eventually lost it(catwoman is one) and some characters just wouldn't be the same without it. In the comics it works, in movies it looks like Ryan Reynolds with a bit of flubber on his face.

  • April 2, 2011, 2:53 p.m. CST

    Ryan Reynolds is appropriate because

    by smackfu

as an intellectual property, Green Lantern is too ridiculous for film. This movie will bomb not because of the suit, or because of Reynolds, or the director, but because like Wonder Woman, it is one of those properties that simply cannot translate to screen. This is why Whedon ditched the Wonder Woman project. Because when you combine the costume and premise with real life, they clash, as with many comic properties. So the solution is usually to 'real it up' a bit, which usually involves altering the origin to something the audience can relate to easier, and making the costume into something that gels more with real life. In some cases, this is easy enough. It worked with X-Men, because you could merge the characters costumes into black leather without causing too much of an uproar. Iron Man works, because it's a robotic suit, you can do anything with it and stay within realistic constraints. But the problem with some, like Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, is if you do away with the costume, and alter their origin stories, you've wandered too far away for it to be even considered Green Lantern or Wonder Woman. Whedon realized this, and moved on. This guy tried to make it work. Now he's going to realize the error of his ways once this bombs, and bombs hard. Trust me. The only people in the whole world, who are interested in a guy dressed in florescent green with a lone ranger mask and a magic ring that shoots ropes and hammers, are the people who are already die hard Green Lantern fans.

  • April 2, 2011, 3:23 p.m. CST

    by kiwicanuck

I'm not that familiar with the character, and the new trailer got me pumped. I understand your point about merging the comic book world with the real world and the difficulties therein, but I think that changes don't always have to be that drastic - certainly not with Green Lantern - and the end result will least when you have people as talented as Martin Campbell and some amazing production designers involved. The bottom line is, I think a lot of people who weren't interested in this property will be after seeing the new trailer. And yes, a lot or the general populace. Anticipation will only build, and this will be one of the top three grossers of the summer, even if it isn't the best of the bunch.

What's up with that in the back? And I'm sorry but, the suit is butt ugly, the mask is butt ugly. This movie bombing is going to scare Warner Bros into their deep cave again! I'm still hoping it's good, but it's hard too. What's wrong with WB? Wonder Woman and Green Lantern look more bad than good. While Thor and Captain America look great!

    by smackfu

I agree the new footage does make it look more interesting than before, but the problem it is going to run into is that in order to bring it to life, it had to use a shitload of CGI, and in the end will probably face a lot of criticism that it looks too cartoony.

  • I totally agree with the peeps here saying that comics and film are totally different medium (Alan Moore anyone?) ...

I think that when I realized this was when I saw the CGI trailers for DC Universe Online, they where amazing, and just worked somehow, but the live action movies still seem off in some way ...

That said I remember back when Alex Ross's Kingdom Come came out , I looked at Wonder Woman , and SuperMan and thought "Fuck me! Thats how they'll make these films in 15 years time "...

we are , still being force fed this pop corn shite.......... Maybe it just can't work .But like the geek I am I live in hope......

    by NeonFrisbee

I see what you're saying, but couldn't that apply to more or less *any* of the super heroes? Maybe not Iron Man cause that's technology (just nigh impossible technology), or Batman cause he's just a guy with wealth, gadgets, and ninja training (also ridiculous, but, you know what I mean), but Wonder Woman isn't really all that different from Superman (supernatural, godlike beings from an otherworldly place) and everyone LOVES Superman. I mean, yeah, I know, in terms of specifics they're very different, but at their heart, they're basically male and female versions of a similar type of character. And the XMen is just as ridiculous as them all, if not moreso. But mass audiences got with that and accepted it. I really think that all superheroes fall into the realm of the ridiculous. Personally, I think GL is going to bomb because: 1) Mass audiences don't know much about him. 2) The trailer looked TERRIBLE. Not so much because the idea of a Cosmic Space Force with Power Rings is too much to accept.

He was a very nice guy and stopped and talked to all his fans....I hope this movie will at least be something he can be proud of...

  • Sine when is OA a fucking refinery planet.

  • To say that any of these Superhero movies are more probable or hold some degree of accessability because one guy uses a power ring instead of a hammer, or a suit of iron or climbs walls is just fucking stupid. If people can turn their brains off long enough to believe a man dressed as a bat can fight 12 guys and walk away - then they will believe anything. Green Lantern only asks you suspend belief on one major thing - that aliens exist. Once you get past that, you can go full steam. Hell, there are fuckers running around who think Star Wars holds the answers to all their life woes nowadays. If anything Green Lantern seems to me like they tried to make it more like Greatest American Hero - or vice versa, I'm not that familiar with when the Greatest American Hero was created - but the similarities are there. Alien gives guy a superpowered device and the guy now has no idea what is going on.

    mask issues =

    by AzzyAzzy

left side hugs the face to a point that the line from the cheekbone to the horizon change never causes a distinct change in perspective. compare it to the right side of the face, the one with a greater degree of change...the mask actually rises from the face in outline. You can see a slight deformation in the ear as well (unless he's part elf, of course). That point of the ear should be rather well turned back which is why you don't see the well. Also the mask seems to hide his eyebrows, though if only done via physical measures it would mean that his eyebrows are crazy low and super thin. Otherwise the mask is exactly what a fucking mask is supposed to be. It's something that fucks up your ability to discern who the donner of said item is. Granted, for this movie's isn't.

You wonderful people do know the suit is a product of the ring right? So lets imagine an alien artifact giving a HUMAN a weapon that uses his willpower and whatever he can think of. This weapon is the most powerful in any comic verse if you great folks can wrap your minds around that. So the suit is secondary to how the weapon is portrayed.

    by JimmyJoe RedSky

this is one of those situations where its impossible to please all fans and non fans - like with superman returns - i hated the suit changes in that - if it aint broke dont fix it - here with gl its a similar deal - but they couldnt actually do classic gl in tights green mask and white gloves - people would laugh at it no matter who they cast - this seems like a good choice for his look - very sci fi - very unearthly - forces at work beyond comprehension - why not - the green energy, the ring etc - the suit is an extension - living energy based armor - i buy it - its a comic book after all

Doesn't Kick Ass, WB stuck their foot in their ass!

    by jericho1368

Sorry. That poster is AWFUL. It's like they listened to how many people hated the costume and the WB people just enlarged the image. Maybe they secretly want people to hate this film. That costume is awful. The lantern is pretty bad too. Why did they have to change it?

  • April 4, 2011, 10:10 a.m. CST

    The Suit

    by grendel69

I understand the decision - to make the suit look like its not clothe, but some form of plasma molded into a suit, but IMHO they did it the wrong way. They should have have Ryan wear a suit and mask and enhanced it with CGI instead of going completely CGI. They made alot of work for themsevles. In the new trailer I think the suit looks pretty good - the mask is still off. And the new GL trailer pretty much kicks Thors ass. It has a large scope that the Thor trailer is sorely missing. And not having Kat Dennings stupid idiotic comments is a plus too. I thought the new trailer was fuckin great.

  • April 4, 2011, 10:17 a.m. CST

Doesn't kick ass, doesn't look good.

    by jericho1368

Warner Brothers really dropped the ball on this one. The movie looks great until you see Ryan Reynolds in that ugly costume. It's like... 'WHOA, that looks good!' Then you see Ryan Reynolds in that costume and its like someone is scratching fingernails on a blackboard. The design team really screwed up the costume and the lantern. It's very difficult to take this movie seriously. I'll see it, yea, but on dvd not in a theater. I think Harry is only saying the movie is great because WB sent him that ring. Which is cool. Too bad the movie isn't as cool as the ring.

SURELY by now you comic book fans know two things: #1 -- film adaptations of comic book heroes are a crapshoot. There are all kinds of reasons that the right ingredients can still make for a disappointing movie. #2 -- NEVER NEVER NEVER judge a film by its trailers or movie posters. They are unrelated more than they are related. Or are we gonna go through this learning curve each and every time a new superhero movie comes out....

It will be so gloss-coated everything will look Photoshopped. And it will feature cheesy dialog a.k.a. "I know, right?!!" That's what we are getting with this Green Lantern flick. And I fear that's what we're going to get with Snyder's Superman. Fasten your seat belts 'cause it's gonna suck to be a Superman fan next year.
