No MAD MEN
This Year!!

I am Hercules!!

Good news for the dramas that keep losing Emmys to “Mad Men” year after year: the next adventures of Don Draper, Roger Sterling and Peggy Olson won’t be arriving until 2012.

Next year’s fifth season is likely to go forward with series mastermind Matt Weiner returning, but the writer-producer’s people are still negotiating for his participation. According to Deadline:

Weiner is objecting to three things AMC/Lionsgate are asking for: integrating product placement into the series, cutting two minutes from each episode's running time in favor of more commercials, and eliminating/reducing two regular cast members to save money.

“Mad Men’s” summer Sunday night slot is expected to be filled by “Breaking Bad,” which has traditionally premiered in the spring. Find all of Deadline’s story on the matter here.
