“Doctor Who” will return to BBC America on April 23, according to an Entertainment Weekly exclusive just posted by James Hibberd.
The hour that night will be part of a two-night opener that takes the Doc to the United States (apparently the series never filmed here before, even though The Doctor's been to loads of other planets).
Mark Sheppard (Romo Lampkin on “Battlestar Galactica”) and Alex Kingston (“ER”) will appear this season, the second for Steven Moffatt as showrunner.
