UPDATE: Once again, I've put my foot in my mouth. The picture is not from Seven Samurai, but another Kurosawa Masterpiece... either Sanjuro or Yojimbo. It was represented as Seven Samurai from my source and I stupidly didn't bother to double check.
I mean, that's definitely Toshiro Mifune in samurai garb, just the wrong garb to be from Seven Samurai. Looking at it more closely I'd say that's Sanjuro, but what do I know?
Thanks to eagle-eyed readers Ryan Gallagher and James Marsh for quickly spotting the error. I've edited the article and will now go fall on my sword to make amends.

I am here today both incredibly happy and a little sheepish. Happy because Pee-Wee himself tweeted the link to yesterday’s picture to his (ample) Twitter follwers. Sheepish because the pic I promised yesterday isn’t exactly what you’re getting today.
I hate the smell of cigarette smoke, but guess what? If Toshiro Mifune blew smoke in my face (especially if he was in costume) I’d be nothing but smiles… bright, wide cancer-absorbing smiles.
