Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little tidbit of interest to all you Pixar geeks like me. Variety dropped it, but I have to credit Slashfilm for finding the buried information.
Not only will there be a Toy Story short that appears before Cars 2, but apparently there will also be one that plays before THE MUPPETS.
I'm a big fan of this idea. In fact, I'd even say that I think we're done with Toy Story movies. The third film is about as clean a wrap-up as you could want, so why not just do a regular series of short films to keep tickling that nostalgia itch and stretching the legs with these characters?
I'm just a fan of returning to short films pre-feature in the first place. That's one of the reasons I'm actually really excited about those Marvel short films aimed at introducing B and C level characters.
