“Practical Magic” star Stockard Channing, who spent years as Aaron Sorkin’s first lady on “The West Wing,” may soon be returning to NBC in “17th Precinct,” the pilot from Ronald D. Moore (“Star Trek,” “Roswell,” “Carnivale,” “Battlestar Galactica”) about police who fight crime in a world full of magic.
She plays Mira, a “fiercely intelligent former homicide detective,” according to Deadline Hollywood.
Moore is also developing Coast Guard drama “The McCulloch” for NBC and a remake of “The Wild Wild West” for CBS.
