James Wan wants you to check out something... INSIDIOUS!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... watching movies on TCM, awaiting my portable Blu-Ray player's arrival... and I have to tell ya. I love watching TCM. Tonight has been JASON & THE ARGONAUTS, SCARAMOUCHE and THE SEA HAWK is playing now... Just awesome.
While recuperating, listening to the adorable snores of George, my 94 year old roommate, whom I discuss watching movies in the 30s and 40s with... with a great deal of envy I might add. I check my email and see if there's anything that I can bring you good folks that might be of interest.
Now - you know who James Wan is, right? He's most widely known for creating the crazy successful SAW franchise... Well, other than being FACEBOOK friends, we've never really communicated, but tonight - he wrote me saying he was "very excited about INSIDIOUS coming out, and wanted to share with you the very first piece of marketing for the film" A YouTube Teaser trailer meant to "whet" the appetite.
So, here ya go - INSIDIOUS looks very interesting. What do you think?

Only reason why I wanna see this now
-
James Wan has something INSIDIOUS to share with you!
-
near the end of the preview. Otherwise? Meh.
-
Neat? I dunno.
-
a certain horror movie website editor had it in his Top Ten of the year.
-
"Don't go in there! It's haunted!"
-
it also needs people to attend these good horror films in theaters. There in lies the rub. The vigorous, skin removing rub. I have hopes for this movie.
-
Sure, why not. I feel like I heard of this yonks ago.
-
You are legend.
-
This guy is awesome, consistently the best thing about every movie he's in! I really really enjoyed Barry Munday, thanks for the referral Harry. Get well soon.
-
Are these guys taking the piss here? Looks about as "Insidious" as Webster.
-
Thomians rule LOL!
-
Fungibly incipient yet perspicacious!

I liked it better when it was called Poltergeist.

Saw it at TIFF. Awful...
-
To believe you're still in the hospital and not trying to distract attention from your website's recent revamping.
-
and never bother, does it still count?
-
Movie looks like more forgettable crap
-
Seriously, when are trailers going to evolve from the current trend of black screen alternating with frenetic cuts and slow fades into the title (usually with a bloodless coda as well).
-
here's more!
-
He's going to rape and murder you ala Strangeland style
-
It's bad enough that suddenly every director is "visionary", but now it seems like every movie will be somehow a phenomenon or important event of a whole generation too!
-
I just got up.
-
And Rose Byrne is getting sexier by the minute.
-
...probably quicker to just murder him; raping would take a day or two...
-
Yeah, you really need to *stop reminding us* of the shit films you've made previously.
-
Then we can stop blaming the kids for all this flickering shit that makes mom jump so much. We'll save thousands on exorcism bills alone.
-
Really Harry? You thought THAT was "very interesting?" I thought that looked "very shitty." The reason being I COULDN'T FUCKING SEE ANYTHING!!! Wanna know what that "whetted" my appetite for? A proper fucking trailer. Jesus jumping Christ, why not just make a normal trailer in the first place? Looks very interesting my ass. Looks like someone trying to get some swag for posting a shitty trailer for a trailer to me. Get well soon.
-
are usually solid. Gas masks freak me out.

They lost me at "From the Makers of Paranormal Activity and Saw."
by JudasPriestly
Both terrible AND unnecessary.
-
"portable Blu-Ray player's" Gotta love it peoples!!
-
because James Wan directly spoke/messaged Harry... anytime someone has direct contact with Harry, the fat man's comments are usually positive ex: I posted a comment saying he had a mail-order bride, he replied saying she was born in Texas and then called me a genius! I expected a banning, not a compliment
-
even for a teaser. All of these "supernatural-horror" films always include children of some sort. Originality in Hollywood is like finding out you have an 11th finger all of a sudden, slim to none lol. Paranormal Activity wasn't as bad as every Saw sequel tho, so maybe the full trailer will reveal a little more intrigue. Btw, peep my blog fellow nerds: http://kungfutreachery.blogspot.com

Is James Wan responsible for that horrible film with the old woman killing people and trapping their souls in ventriliquist dolls?? Cuz that movie SUCKEDDDD!!
-
The release date being April 1st. It's got to be some kind of fucking joke...
-
this will be complete shit!
-
Make another movie like that one. Those dolls were fucking creepy.
-
i'm big sun the ghost im on www.reverbnation.com/thewholemtaistapped insidious looks interesting if your freind has anything interesting somewhere along the lines of alien invasion stuff then i'll really get into it. sincerly ghost 100.
-
funny!!!
-
My point exactly. Harry, come on man. If you had just found this on your own, or someone besides Wan had alerted you, there is NO WAY you would say anything positive about this. I'm all up for a good horror movie, hell, even a BAD horror movie now and again, but this "trailer" sucks man. And the bride was from the "exotic Louisiana." I'm in Louisiana and asked him where she was from but got no response. (And cue the "No wonder..." comment from Braindrain. It will be some super cool awesome comment making fun of people from the South I'm sure.)

Harry, what model portable Blu-Ray player are you getting?
by barry convex

I'm also a good fan of her. Luckily, this movie looks interesting enough to justify watching.
-
Caught this at TIFF this year and it didn't do too much for me. It's basically a decent two-thirds of a haunted house movie that goes really off the rails in the third act. I might've been a victim of hype but when Wan came out before the film and said they set out to make something that was 'truly scary' instead of the same gore-takes and stuff, I was intrigued but the film just didn't deliver IMO. That said, it's everything that SAW is not, so if you hate that movie, you might be into this.
