Hey folks, Harry here... I'm bored. When I'm bored, I seek out trailers. It's a habit I've had... well, since the invention of the internet. Sometimes they're vintage trailers, sometimes modern trailers... but I love little bite sized morsels of movies that are often times very different from the film it purports to be selling. Trailers try to put their best, most sellable commodity out there for us to see and latch on to.
Case in point, NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
Ivan Reitman is bringing us a romantic sex comedy, about this bitchy man, that can't get it into his head that Natalie Portman just wants to fuck him. That's all. She wants him as her fuck buddy, but this bitchy man, that's not enough.
Ok - show of hands... How many of you would be totally ok with just a straight SEX with Natalie Portman / Friends with Benefits style relationship?
If the big problem of your film is that Natalie Portman just wants to fuck you - your problem is with you. I say, be there for her. Fulfill exactly what she wants and shut the fuck up. I mean, Ashton - we all hate you when you're all achey about just having sex with Natalie Portman, but you're like that Frat Brother with the boyish face that's bitching about being the luckiest fuck in the history of the planet. It drives the world insane.
Of course, I'm kidding... a bit. I totally get how, once you had a taste of a relationship with Natalie Portman, that you would want the whole magical romantic experience. That's natural, but if the established parameters state that you are to be Natalie Portman's Best Friend, but that you can have sex with her - often, but that she doesn't want a relationship beyond that, won't be jealous of you banging other girls that follow you on Twitter... well, it is a tough pill, but MAN up Ashton. Seriously.
On a separate note - I feel like it is impossible to escape Natalie Portman right now. She's just about on an incredible streak. Dying to see YOUR HIGHNESS & THOR - but honestly, I'm very much looking forward to seeing her in this. Seeing Natalie in a fun, playful, sex comedy... well it'll be therapeutic after watching the brilliant, but heavy BLACK SWAN.
