You ruined it by mentioning that you were first. You should've just silently relished the fact. For shame.

This has flop written all over it.

    by Quadrillionaire

Looks expensively made. Is it aimed at children or adults? The character designs look too real and scary for children. Doesn't seem to based on any popular intellectual property. And Johnny Depp is due for a flop.

  • Dec. 14, 2010, 3:46 p.m. CST

Depp already has a flop on his hands

Creators should consider securing the rights to Blacksad

    by Escuderoz

imagine a theatrical version of Blacksad done by the same team? Content would be amped up to the adult level, but just imagine the fucking imagery! ahhh a boy can dream

    Looks promising

    by daggor

Can't tell from the trailer, but it has a Muppet-like feel to it. (No, I'm not saying it looks JUST LIKE a Muppet movie, just the vibe I get). The March release date doesn't bode well for it, though.

Oh, since I'm going to have to double-post 'cause this site is fucked, I might as well mention that I hit the good ol' BACK button when the fucking ad came up at the end. Take that, product!

    That's some beautiful-looking character design

    by buggerbugger

...if "beautiful" is the right word. The earlier teaser did nothing for me, but that trailer's grabbed my interest.

Couldn't agree more. Love Blacksad. Too bad that the only way that a cartoon with an adult premise will not be produced in the U.S. any time soon. Pixar's pushing things, but - not that far. At least not yet.

There aint no aliens in Star Wars.

    by Napolean Solo

Or they're all aliens, including Han Solo and his beeyatch, who ironically, was also Jabba's beeyatch for a spell... the said beeyatch who, quite innocently, was Luke's beeyatch in the first installment of the original trilogy... who quite insanely, turned out to be the beeyatch's brother!

Aint that a bitch!

  • Dec. 14, 2010, 9:02 p.m. CST

I was hoping it was a remake of Dead Man with lizards

    by mortsleam

Shame. Looks pretty good actually. The designs and lighting are amazing. The story seems to be a little High Noon with slapstick though.

    They should hire a designer.

    by Undead03

That is one of the ugliest, most unappealing pieces of crap I've ever seen. They should hire a designer with at least a modicum of good taste--or any taste at all.

It's looks amazing. Not the story etc. but the animation looks great. And I can't deny that the Mumford & Sons song fits the trailer well.
