The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day is da boss! It’s da boss, it’s da boss, it’s da boss, it’s da boss…
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic! Welcome to the Sunday BtSPotD! Sometimes I use this day as a way to get a kind of goofier or less impressive BTS pic up, but it felt right to dig up this shot of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro filming Raging Bull. As you can see from the pretty great image below this isn’t my usual Sunday pic. I love the crisp, sharp contrast and the general feeling of good humor from one of the best boxing dramas ever. It’s like the anti-Rocky, who doesn’t love this movie?

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here. Tomorrow’s pic is a rather… intimate shot of Arnold Schwarzenegger and one of his directors… -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter

You post like you take it up the ass.

Been waiting to see more Scorsese in this. I like this series as a whole, but some really stand out more to me than others. This is one of them. That and yesterdays of EFNY, I would like to see more like that myself.
-
Always reminds me of Fredo from the Godfather....Brilliant film maker but just socially desperate. Hey Alan I think you just told us a bit about your self there.
-
Or dwarf of whatever the fuck it was
-
wearing a Clash shirt is pretty cool. I know he used a couple of songs in Bringing Out The Dead but I always figured that was Robbie Robertson's influence.
-
Cause that would be awesome... but i suspect they are due to someone just not doing their job properly
-
I think this calls for someone to score the sequence with their music and slap it up on Youtube. (Not me. I'm busy doing this sort of thing.)
-
Shaquille O'Neal as KAZAAM! the rapping genie playing Jake LaMotta.
-
Apparently both Scorsese and DeNiro listened to London Calling nonstop throughout the filming of Raging Bull. Nice to hear some of their songs in Bringing Out The Dead, but I'd love more Clash songs in his epic gangster movies.
-
Joe Strummer, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon are the "street trash" that Sandra Bernhardt's Masha tells off outside Jerry Langford's office.
-
I've always wanted to, but whenever the opportunity presented itself, I was never in the mood. Same with Braveheart, Schindler's List, Citizen Kane, Brokeback Mountain and Gone With The Wind. Just recently got around to seeing The Accidental Tourist.
-
Jake: "So ... you're married."
Summer: "Yeah. Crazy, huh?"
Jake: *Taps head against wall ...*
-
I love raging bull but Goodfellas is just all around a better movie, more likeable characters, a better plot and a higher rewatchablity factor. Goodfellas may even be Scorsese's best film although theres several i've never seen
-
Fact.
Well, not really.
-
I think Goodfellas is an overall better film as well. Raging Bull kicks ass, though, and easily among his best ones. B
-
I've seen most of Scorsese's films and I think Goodfellas is his best, and probably my favorite film of any genre. It's just a masterpiece. Raging Bull is amazing, but not quite Goodfellas.
(When I think the man who made both these films is the same man who made Shutter Island, I weep.)
-
...I will post this message yesterday, AND ON ANOTHER WEBSITE!
Space/Time is but a wisp of a memory of a dream!!!!
*takes another hit*
Seriously, what IS going on with the site these days?
-
"Aint It Old Pictures of Behind The Scenes News" in the subject line...
I HAVE THE POWAH!
-
...that sucks. Was fun while it lasted...
-
So overrated. Goofellas is brilliant though.
-
Goodfellas.
-
Why would you see The Accidental Tourist, but not see Braveheart, Schindler's List, Citizen Kane, Brokeback Mountain or Gone With The Wind? The Accidental Tourist? Really? Are you a Geena Davis fan or something?
-
should take a meat cleaver to his adam's apple and start over.

You guys do know it's all ball bearings nowadays? In fact, *puts arm on engine* Heeeeeeeeeeeyhhhhhh!
-
...is one of the most subtle and realistic love stories ever put on film. Davis won an Oscar for this right? She damn well should have.
Go Edward...
-
Everything's subjective but I'll watch The Accidental Tourist over any of those films every time. It's one of those films where every time it's on I watch it to the end and wish it would start over once the credits roll.
-
Jake isn't remotely likeable at all.You feel no affinity or sympathy for him.In fact hes a complete douche. Its one of the most ambiguous endings ever btw. I always just feel indifferent by then, and in the back of my mind I'm thinking "fuck this guy , I'm glad hes at rock bottom"

It was the 70s, though, so that was real cut & paste back in the day.

THAT LONG CONTINUOUS SHOT OF FOLLOWING JAKE TO THE RING
by BringingSexyBack
One of the most classic cinematic sequences ever. I get the love for Goodfellas, but Raging Bull is on another plane.
-
Please let it be so!

Yep. Well stated, Asi.

Hey guys. Just dropping in briefly. Will be around a bit more probably after D.Vader's ban is done.

BTW, what the hell is wrong with this site? It's gasping and wheezing.
