* “Fringe” rebounded despite simultaneous gains made also by brutal timeslot competition “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Office” and “CSI.” (Last year the sci-fi drama came back stronger as the Big Three 9 p.m. shows went into repeats; perhaps it will again.)
How it compares to the other Fox shows: 18-49 (prior Thursdays in parentheses; repeats in gray): 5.0 (4.6) (1.9) (4.9) (2.1) (4.7) (4.6) (5.9) (5.6) (1.7) Glee 4.0 (3.7) (----) (1.4) (3.6) (3.6) (4.0) (3.8) (4.2) (1.2) House 3.9 (3.7) (----) (1.7) (----) (3.0) (4.2) (3.7) (2.2) (2.9) The Simpsons 3.4 (3.8) (----) (2.0) (----) (3.4) (4.0) (4.5) (2.4) (2.1) Family Guy 3.1 (3.0) (----) (1.2) (----) (2.6) (3.1) (3.1) (----) (1.9) Cleveland Show 2.7 (2.6) (2.5) (----) (----) (2.6) (2.7) (2.5) (2.7) (----) Bones 2.7 (2.5) (----) (2.4) (1.6) (2.5) (2.5) (3.1) (3.1) (----) Raising Hope 2.6 (2.7) (1.4) (----) (----) (3.1) (3.0) (2.9) (2.9) (----) Hell’s Kitchen 2.5 (2.9) (----) (1.7) (----) (2.5) (3.0) (----) (----) (----) American Dad 1.9 (1.7) (1.8) (----) (----) (2.0) (2.0) (1.9) (2.1) (0.7) Fringe 1.9 (1.8) (----) (1.6) (1.9) (1.9) (2.1) (----) (----) (1.6) Lie To Me 1.8 (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) (----) Human Target ---- (1.3) (----) (----) (1.1) (1.4) (1.7) (1.9) (2.4) (----) Running Wilde 0.7 (0.8) (0.7) (0.6) (0.8) (0.7) (0.7) (0.9) (0.5) The Good Guys
* Most series were up Thursday night, but “Community” and “30 Rock” slipped and “The Apprentice” hit a new season (and series?) low.

* “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” doubled what the “Grey’s” repeats usually pulls at 8 p.m. This could explain the bump the new “Grey’s” enjoyed.

* After losing to “Private Practice” for the prior two weeks, “Mentalist” put itself back at first place at 10 p.m. “Practice” apparently got the bump from an episode about a sexual assault. Maybe they should do that every week; it seems to work for “SVU.”

Fringe needs to move to another night...any night besides Friday
-
...Sarah Palin's show?
-
If it gets cancelled I'll be so sad :(.
-
That's "Team Community" to you! They should keep Chevy in that damn wheelchair all season!
-
I would have thought that more people in the U.S would be in to this show....
-
I think FOX is really pretty happy with the fact they have a hardcore scif-fi drama thats actually holding a strong, dedicated audience during the most competitive hour in weekly television. Its not like they have something else to replace it with that would do better or command any kind of loyalty. Sure, they'd be happy if it had even more viewers, but I think as it stands they are really pretty satisfied with how it performs. Especially having a .2 gain mid-season. That's awesome. If they moved it to another night it would undoubtedly do better, but it just allows fox to grab a solid bit of audience during a night when people are unfailingly watching other channels more. Fringe is doing okay in such a crazy slot. I predict at the very laest a season 4.
-
Whenever people talk about the vampire craze, they mention a pop-culture holy trinity: Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries. That shit barely pulls a 1.5 and it's a huge hit? I know CW has less stations than the Big Four, but c'mon!
-
Isnt a move like this the death knell of a show?
-
God damnit.

Shit My Dad Says...wtf @ that horribad show and it's strong numb

...Smallville is hella boring tonight.
-
Hopefully, they will start this show at a decent time...and not against Big Bang Theory.
-
...while Conan sank to a 1.75 rating.
-
Please tell me it's a couple gay guys who own a pawn shop. I'm kidding of course. Fuck these made up ratings. I know Fringe is watched by way more than these made up numbers say. Big Bang Theory is #1? Bull shit.
-
Only Football ever gets that type of number. Also NBC vs. TBS... So look at 1.75 against anything else on cable. Conan is doing pretty fucking good. I'm sorry but watch Leno one night... Then watch Conan... Sorry but Conan's show is just hands down funnier. Also being on TBS it almost doesn't matter what he gets. What else would they be showing? Probably a movie you'd just skip by like the Wedding Planner. Don't worry about Conan. Also who cares about any of these guys? It's all about Craig Ferguson... In your pants!!!
-
that no one - including networks - care about, expect for PR people that put it in press releases.
No one ever looks at the god damn math!
-

Leno:

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2010/11/19/tv-ratings-thursday-bones-fringe-greys-big-bang-theory-community-30-rock-fall/72776

Conan:

http://tinyurl.com/conan02
Leno hit 8.0, as did Letterman. Conan averaged 1.72 for the week (although his 1.0 was higher than the 0.9 for Leno in the 18-49 group).
-
Who told you that "total viewers don't matter?" That is asinine!
While the most coveted age group for viewers is 18-35, advertisers also covet ages 36-49 and 50+.

The younger group simply represents potentially new customers and impulse shoppers. Period. That is certainly lucrative -- but the advertising rates between the 18-49 age group and the entire age group is marginal at best.
Still, Leno was able to average 0.9 in the younger age group for the week...while Conan yielded a slightly higher number (1.0). Unfortunately for Conan, he was only able to pick up a few more viewers.
