Two more episodes to go. For once, we're not being held up by the US schedule. I haven't felt this privileged since Buffy's Graduation Part 2. (Too bad I missed the Nov 2 episode thinking they wouldn't possibly air it if SyFy didn't.)

SyFy Programming Chief: "I don't care when you air them! Just pick a day when no one is watching our network! What? That's EVERY DAY? Fine, first Tuesday in January! Now get the hell out of my office!"
Nov. 19, 2010, 2:50 p.m. CST
You know... the writers... if they had had a plan.
Nov. 19, 2010, 2:55 p.m. CST
and then go on to another project.
Nov. 19, 2010, 3 p.m. CST
For those of us that bought a season pass?
Nov. 19, 2010, 3:03 p.m. CST
Are they producing any original material that is actually watchable anymore?
Nov. 19, 2010, 3:10 p.m. CST
Not a fan of Sharktopus or Wrastlin'?
Nov. 19, 2010, 3:14 p.m. CST
it at least deserved to be shown weekly rather than dumped in 1 block. syfy sucks a can of ass with their reality tv crap and wrestling.
can the usa please get spacecast instead? they at least show sci-fi rather than shit on it.
Nov. 19, 2010, 3:34 p.m. CST
5 episodes of Caprica, back to back? When was euthanasia legalized?
Did they ever get the girl out of that robot? Did the sympathetic programmer geek help get her out, over the objections of his anti-robite coworker?
Nov. 19, 2010, 3:44 p.m. CST
Syfy shoulda stuck with this show like HBO did The Wire. Use some of those stupid wrestling show profits to fund it if ya have to but right now syfy has ZERO shows on that are quality and worth watching. SGU is shit. Caprica was great for what it was - i think everyone is going to be surprised how good these final eps are. Sigh...
Damn straight people would be surprised if the final episodes are any good.
Nov. 19, 2010, 3:49 p.m. CST
They could have held them until march with one episode per week.
Nov. 19, 2010, 4:03 p.m. CST
I guess they figure it's best to get rid of this shit in one dump - probably contractual obligations or they'd just leave it to disc. And what IS it with BSG disc covers showing men staring at some woman's cleavage? This is at least the third or fourth one. Grow up, guys.

completely butt-surf its' audience. I knew watching Caprica would be a complete waste of effort. SyFy sucks.
Nov. 19, 2010, 4:27 p.m. CST
get that ghost hunter shit off the air and maybe I'll forgive you SyFy
Nov. 19, 2010, 4:33 p.m. CST
uploading them on to Torrent sites? Just curious. I can live without that show.
Nov. 19, 2010, 5 p.m. CST
Have to say Dirt Eaters provides an excellent perspective into life on Turon - probably my favorite episode of the series to date...sad to see it go...
Nov. 19, 2010, 5:29 p.m. CST
Or whatever the frak it's called; SyFy shouldn't even bother. I won't be watching another one of their shows ever again. They have no clue how to run a network. And BTW SyFy, I'm already watching the shows from Canada, so sit and spin.

The episodes aired in Canada are on the torrents.

from what ive seen so far, she killed that programmer and then killed herself....another version of her was in the digital world tho
Nov. 19, 2010, 6:57 p.m. CST
Or the other BS they put on Syfy I dont understand if it cost too much to make why not find ways to reduce cost.

Syphy tweeted that they don't get a cut of dvd sales!! Wait for the FULL SERIES dvd set--profits go to the studio, etc, but cuts the Syphy morons out.

I'm sure going on wikipedia and reading the summaries will be more exciting than the show because the 5-10 minutes I take to read them will be far better paced than the hours put into watching it. I don't think I've seen that much pointless meandering since season 2 of Lost.
And will someone who works on this site please pay attention to what I'm seeing in every talkback and cover Game of Thrones news!!! I mean, if you guys actually read literature instead of taking studio payola to give out generous reviews, you'd realize this show has amazing potential and might be on pace to be one of the great series of our time. Hell, start reading the books when your on a flight to a studio visit and you'll see why a lot of people are spewing copious loads of jizz over this series that is just in production.

and I wondered, "They're showing this *now*? Slow." Clarise Willow going The Wire's Omar on people was great but everyone has their own storyline that has been connected together by a tiny filament instead of an actual plot thread. They diverged so far apart & they are just now starting to come back together again. With two episodes left. Gah.
And every parent on the show is a bleeding psychopath. No really, every single one.
Nov. 20, 2010, 3:15 a.m. CST
If you were one (of the less than a million)liking what you watched previously, you'll get more of the same....if you found it dull boring and pretentious, you'll also get more of the same...no great leap (up or down) on quality or pacing...Moore and company were hoping for a season 2 when they made these, so don't expect any resolution, just another cliffhanger to oblivion...
Nov. 20, 2010, 6:37 a.m. CST
.....I can't believe they actually cancelled this thing.
I know this second half of the Season has been mostly crap, but these last couple of episodes that they cancelled are like WOW!!
I'm watching them right now (thank you bittorrent) and all I can say is Tauron Mafia, Greystone reunions, CTC Cylons and did I mention Mafias being backstabbed and Greystone making a major move against the Mafia.
If the whole Season had been like these last episodes that they haven't aired (and if SyFy(lis) hadn't foolishly switched around their schedule) this series would never have needed to be cancelled.
If you can get them from a bittorrent or fileshare site, then I can only encourage you to do so, because it really picks up.
Damn you SyFy(lis)!!!! Damn you all to ratings hell!!!
Nov. 20, 2010, 9:52 a.m. CST
Stargat Universe is the last show I watch on the channel. I'm a hard core Sifi fan and and only haveing one show that's any good on a channel dedicated to the genre is telling. What a shame.
Nov. 20, 2010, 10:55 a.m. CST
to be some sort of dumping ground purgatory for TV executives. I don't think anybody over there really loves genre television.
If you're a rookie they put you there and say "Prove yourself". If your experienced and have fucked up or pissed someone off but, not bad enough to get fired you are sent to Skiffy to do penance.
Let's hope when Kabletown takes over they put someone in charge that actually like Science Fiction and Fantasy.
Nov. 20, 2010, 11:06 a.m. CST
Have been great, actually. Last weeks brutal flashback sequence was pretty insane. I'm going to miss it, and I don't care how many people here diss the series.
Nov. 20, 2010, 1:15 p.m. CST
Being shown on Canadian TV, so far the three I've seen have been amazing.
Nov. 20, 2010, 1:39 p.m. CST
guess i'll have my jolt cola out so i stay awake during the five hours. Then again, i might just throw the dvds in my netflix since i have to get up for work at 4 in the a.m.
Nov. 20, 2010, 1:41 p.m. CST
does any one know if those books can be enjoyed as standalones because i could have gotten the first three at goodwill dirt-cheap but then thought: oh great, then i'll have to get the twelve that come after it (or however many there are)
Nov. 20, 2010, 4:18 p.m. CST
Song of Ice and Fire is an epic. It's not going to waste your time like Jordan/Rigney's WOT though. :) I just watched Caprica ep 16 right after I posted that, and it's still cool, getting cooler, shit's going down. I'm going to miss it.
Nov. 20, 2010, 5:28 p.m. CST
Caprica was too much Science Fiction, not enough Syfy (big explosions, bug eyed monsters, etc.)
Nov. 20, 2010, 5:59 p.m. CST
There's only 4 books so far with the fifth one apparently on the way next year. The series is planned to 7 books, and Martin apparently has quite a bit of book 6 completed as well.
I'd say pick it up even if you're only remotely interested in fantasy, as the plot goes full steam right from the get go, not to mention some really f*cking brutal twists along the way.
