* Fox’s “Human Target” returned at its all-time low and helped perhaps pushed “Hell’s Kitchen” to its season low.

While “Survivor” and “Criminal Minds” remain mighty, a huge piece of CBS’ audience continues to evaporate when “The Defenders” comes on at 10 p.m. Maybe it’ll fare better next week now that “South Park” is on hiatus?
* NBC’s “Dateline” special on Prince William and his fiancée scored better than the last six episodes of “Undercovers” in that 8 p.m. timeslot.
* “Law & Order SVU” bounced back a bit but remained mired in fourth place. Lower-rated “Law & Order LA” rose to tie equally anemic “The Defenders” for first place at 10 p.m.
* ABC’s “25 Years of Sexy: People’s Sexiest Man Alive” did better than the last four episodes of “The Whole Truth” did in the same 10 p.m. timeslot.
* ABC’s “Modern Family” remains second only to “Glee” among scripted primetime shows.
