The biggest fish in the TV-on-Disc pond this week is unquestionably the Blu-ray release of “Twilight Zone: The Complete Second Season, remastered from the original 35mm into high definition. (I must say, with “Star Trek,” “The Prisoner” and now “Twilight Zone,” they’re really picking the right old series to issue in high definition. And, as I’ve said of the DVD versions of these sets, these Blu-ray editions use an absurd number of extras to target even those viewers who have already seen these episodes a zillion times. Caprica 1.5 was announced for Dec. 21 before Syfy decided to yank “Caprica” from its schedule, so it was thought that this set would be rescheduled to 2011, after its final five episodes hit Syfy. Not so. Those five final unaired episodes will arrive on the 1.5 set BEFORE they air on Syfy. Note the headline of the press release:
