The LITTLE FOCKERS Trailer Is Here! The LITTLE FOCKERS Trailer Is Here!

Beaks here...

MEET THE FOCKERS grossed $516,642,939 worldwide. This had to happen.
Hey. He dumped sand on his cranky father-in-law. What a maroon. Seriously, if cashing in like this allows Stiller to help get an excellent (and highly uncommercial) film like Noah Baumbach's GREENBERG made, then please, sir, slum away. As for De Niro, I gave up lamenting his choices around SHOWTIME. Doesn't mean he shouldn't atone for this particular sin by directing Koppelman/Levien's adaptation of Don Winslow's THE WINTER OF FRANKIE MACHINE. LITTLE FOCKERS will attempt to meet your meager expectations starting December 22nd, 2010. Here's a better trailer for a better movie.

it's all bottom of the barrel now.....

    by Jarek

I sat in a theater yesterday watching DUE DATE, and prior to that was subjected to 15 minutes of previews, every single one with the same crap formula: vaguely offensive comedy + big name actors + romantic main plot or subplot + loosest lame-ass story imagineable = big movie! Due Date also wasn't anything to write home about.

Haha, he stabbed a syringe into his penis!

Pure comedy gold right up there with Ben Stiller cutting his hand and spraying blood all over the room. Or was that supposed to be a gag that he's playing? Either way it seems pretty stupid having it in the trailer.

And she's actually putting that pile of garbage on the check-out and paying good money for it. And I'm watching this and thinking that the plastic disk in her hands has a higher IQ than she does.

Then again, I have yet to make $516 million, so - there you go.

  • Nov. 10, 2010, 5:36 p.m. CST

Interesting how the franchise has evolved...

    by HansBubi

...when the first movie came out, it was pleasantly received, and then it received really good word-of-mouth when it was released on DVD. I remember everyone from college students to parents saying how good it is. I think I watched the first movie at least 3 times (each time with different people) during the first several months after it came out on DVD. Everyone seemed to be watching it. I enjoyed the first movie, and although I've seen it a couple times too many to really enjoy it much today, I still respect it. Now, the second I hate it when people overuse "meh," but I can't think of another comedy I've seen at the theater during which I sat lifeless for 99%...not even smiling. I'm pretty easily amused, yet I can only recall one moment in the movie that earned a reaction out of me (the last moment of Stiller speaking in a microphone at some event). For the rest of the movie, I just sat there looking at the screen; I might as well have been staring at a wall. The movie ended, and I think I immediately forgot most of what I had just seen. I'm almost impressed just how unfunny the movie was. Even the worst parody movies, and we've seen some real shit piles over the past 10 years, have had at least ONE worthwhile moment, even if the writer or actor just happened to get lucky.

  • Nov. 10, 2010, 5:44 p.m. CST

    by HansBubi

...and it's surprising/interesting to see how many talkbackers have expressed their strong dislike of it. It seems the most common reaction is that it's kind of a worthless movie with not much to offer its viewers. I have really been neutral toward the movie (could rent it....but could also go without seeing it too), and so I think I'm going to pass on it.

It doesn't actually look as bad as the 2nd movie, HOWEVER it just looks boring and predictable. It's obvious that they'll try and make it seem like the kid with the blonde hair is Owen Wilson's character's spawn, but ofc he won't be, though Greg will probably take it too far and get a DNA test, or Jack will... They will all think Jack is gonna die at the end but he won't...and he will learn to accept Greg AGAIN...*sigh* Oh, and 'let's say Focker some more times!!!!'

I disagree about talkbackers and "Greenberg". I think they disliked its execution rather than its content. Watching *any* Noah Baumbach movie is like walking across a pool filled with honey instead of water: it requires more effort and stamina than it should just to get through it. And Ben Stiller just does *not* have any chops as a dramatic actor.
You want to see a good movie about a middle-aged misanthrope? Go rent "Roger Dodger". Campbell Scott nails that role shut.
