Hey folks, Harry here... Like every year, around this time, I do a story about the BUTT-NUMB-A-THON GOODIE BAG & Friday night party. For the very first time ever - we have someone heading up Sponsorship and Goodie Bag duties, for years Moises Chiullan was a fan, like all of us, but now he's on board the Alamo Drafthouse team as the Alamo's Director of Brand Development. Moises is handling all sponsorship and goodie bag details for this year's BUTT-NUMB-A-THON: THE DIRTY DOZENTH... If your company, business or personal project needs to be distributed into the hands of 200-225 of the biggest geeks out there. While only 200 get into the event, we like to have bags for the various guests that come in for the fest. First - The GOODIE BAG. Before we get to what goes INTO the Bag, there is the Bag itself... That's right, we're going to be looking for a BAG sponsor to provide the bag that all the fabulous and amazing goodies go into. If you want your brand upon the bag, contact Moises above. If your company wants to construct the bag, for THE DIRTY DOZENTH BUTT-NUMB-A-THON, quickly send him an email! There's also the POSTER TUBE which is how everyone takes home the movie posters, game posters, comic posters, paper that needs to be rolled and stored safely. If you'd like to sponsor the TUBE, perhaps you have a unique or cool TUBE you'd like to promote. Contact Moises. Then there's the Friday Night Party - We're looking for alcohol & entertainment sponsors to make the Friday Night affair as big and wonderful as it has ever been before. The Opening Night Party is where all the BNATTERS (aka attendees of BUTT-NUMB-A-THON) meet up and get to know each other before the assault of the next 24 hours - The opportunities are pretty grand. Anyone that has seen what we do at FANTASTIC FEST, well - BUTT-NUMB-A-THON in many ways is FANTASTIC FEST's daddy, so this'll be a fun event. Contact Moises to see how your company or you can take part. NOW - what goes into the GOODIE BAGs? Think of it like FELIX THE CAT's Magical Bag o' Tricks... The Goodie Bag has been responsible for BUTT-NUMB-A-THON being referred to as GEEK CHRISTMAS. Anything you can imagine can go into this bag. If you want to promote your new Electric Car by giving a couple hundred away - we'll fit it in the bag. Video Game systems, Entertainment systems and forward thinking technology - what we're looking for are the coolest things out there. We're also looking for silly things - everything from Whoopi Cushions, ass donuts, caffeinated goodies... Got a movie coming out? We'll put your DVD/BLU-RAY/Poster/Hat/Underwear/Condoms/Promo Item in the bag. These can be Vintage films, movies coming out to home video, movies coming out next year or at some point this year. We're looking for cool stuff and if your stuff is cool, we'll put it into the hands to the most talky web saavy geeks on the planet. Same with your Online Movie Streaming companies. These geeks love watching a lot of movies and getting on their good side is always good. Video Game Company? Geeks love Games and game ephemera. But our geeks think beyond just Video Games, they love Board Games, Trivia Games, Games that require funny shape dice and character charts. They like little metal & plastic figures, cloaks, gauntlets, bald caps, funny ears. Cologne sponsors... Ideally - we're looking for a MANDOM sponsor - but because MANDOM is a Japanese cologne, I doubt seriously that I'll be able to talk them into sending 225 bottles of MANDOM over - but, if you want to be our MANDOM sponsor - we have some options and marketing possibilities for ya. We're planning on making use of many of the amazing MANDOM spots that were created for this year's BUTT-NUMB-A-THON, some of these will be shown throughout the event most likely - and tagging on a little, "MANDOM brought to BNAT by..." your company here. Is your company MANDOM enough to sponsor our MANDOM? Comics... Every year we get more and more Comic Sponsors... A full half of the audience of BUTT-NUMB-A-THON have to travel a great distance to attend BNAT. That gives them reading time. We're good for single issues, graphic novels, comic collections. Etc. Also, there's a growing legion of iPad lovers - so if you want to send a promo that allows for free downloads of a few DIGITAL issues, that's appreciated as well. Toy & Collectibles Companies... Every attendee of BUTT-NUMB-A-THON has a healthy kid inside of them. If you have the next cool collectible or toy item that you want blogged about - providing for the bag is a good thing. We also are looking for some HIGH END cool items to give out via various contests throughtout the event itself. Contests are good, because they get people excited and your badass item could be what gets them all excited. Music... Cool geeks love cool music, music devices, things to plug their iPods into. If you're a band and want to get your music heard, send CDs, memory sticks with music on them, whatever. We geeks rock out with our cocks out!
