It's The SCOTT PILGRIM Blu-ray Bonus Round! Win An Autographed Copy! See The Film With Edgar And Co. In Attendance! And More!

Beaks here...

With SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD hitting Blu-ray this Tuesday, November 9th, director Edgar Wright is taking his glorious show on the road to thank fans for their support and, perhaps, convert a skeptic or two. Wright kicked the tour off last night with a sold-out screening at Hollywood's Egyptian Theater hosted by Guillermo del Toro - who also moderated the rollicking post-film Q&A with Wright, Bryan Lee O'Malley and Michael Cera. There are video highlights from the discussion posted below, but, for some silly reason, they've been shorn of profanity (so now you can't hear GdT shout "Fuck yeah!" after Wright cites Brian De Palma's PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE as a key influence). Regardless, they're still well worth watching. Del Toro's enthusiasm for the film is entirely genuine, and he gets great stuff out of the fellas (while dropping in some keen insights of his own). I've posted the screening and Blu-ray/DVD signing schedule below. Right now, unless you live in Toronto (where Friday's event at The Bloor will be first com/first serve and free), your chances of getting into one of the screenings are looking pretty slim. If you still want to give it a shot, call the theater to find out if there will be a stand-by line. I've also got five (5) SCOTT PILGRIM prize packs to give away to you, our lovely readers. The grand prize winner will receive a Blu-ray signed by Edgar Wright, a CD soundtrack signed by Johnny "Young Neil" Simmons, and a collectible Backstage Pass item. The four (4) runners-up will receive a Blu-ray Combo Pack and a collectible Backstage Pass item. For a shot at one of these prizes, here's what you need to do: send an email to aintitcoolcontests@gmail.com, and place in the subject header your title for a forthcoming Sex Bob-omb LP. The best title will win the grand prize, while the four runners-up will, obviously, receive the runner-up packs. Please be sure to put your name and address in the body of the email. I'll allow three (3) entries per person. The deadline for entries is Thursday, November 4th at 5 PM Pacific. Now, as promised, here's the info on the SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD mini-tour (again, please note the sold out dates)...
