...when I came across a Hammacher Slemmer catalog. They have a gun that you scoop snow into, it forms 3 snowballs and launches them 50 feet. Not bad for 30 bucks. Saw that and thought, screw my nephew, that bab boy is mine. I live in colorado so this winter should be a fun time for the squirrles.

If you take out advice, do we get a free copy of whatever we recommend? :)

Still the greatest sci-fi epic ever.

Best new show of 2010! and no one should list DVDs anymore. List a good cheap Blu-Ray player, and then only list movies and TV shows on Blu-ray. Its time to upgrade and start watching movies in much higher quality.
-
you should send smokie a BluRay player for Christmas. That would be perfect.
-
Everyone loves hookers and blow...

The Fear is celebrating Halloween this year with the release of Liminal's original soundtrack album 'Unhinged', a masterclass in Carpenter-esque horror electronics. This release is available for free download below. Your download includes 320kbps MP3's and full booklet and disc artwork designed for CD slim cases. We have also produced a strictly limited run of 30 numbered CDR's with a full printed slipcase and disc which are available for purchase while stocks last. http://www.thefear.ie/releases.html This is my labour of love, and I take it very seriously, I am horror geek and I know true geeks will appreciate this!!! http://www.myspace.com/liminalsounds

Charlie Brown X-mas Tree/Christmas Wishes boo
by The Reluctant Austinite
Here's some stuff on my list: I saw Charlie Brown Christmas Trees at Meiers last night. That scrawny little twig that has one ornament on it is perfect for Generation X-ers on a budget. There's an AWESOME nostalgia book called "Christmas Wishes: A Catalog of Vintage Holiday Treats and Treasures" that includes everything from toys and decorations of the 60s and 70s to record albums, catalogue pages and animatronic Mall displays. "Tron Legacy" toys are the closest thing to Micronauts as far as I'm concerned. I already have a diecast Recognizer on my desk. Paper Jamz cardboard guitars are pretty awesome, esspecially the one that you can play a Ramones song on. For the Wii, I'm liking the looks of "007 Goldeneye," the remake of the great N64 game reimagined as a Daniel Craig adventure and "Epic Micky" for Disney fans, which looks like a Mario/Zelda adventure set in an alternate Disney universe of lost and forgotten characters and rides.
-
Also...I'm 4o...but that damn Remote Control Flying "Millenium Falcon" they've been advertising looks like a guilty pleasure.
See it here: http://tiny.cc/4kbe1

Covered. How about a re-release of the vintage AT-AT (check out the packaging picture, it's a recreation of the original packaging): http://tinyurl.com/372jucc And a vintage Snow Speeder to go with it? Unfortunately they're not available online BUT they're exclusively at Target and pretty easy to find...for now. Finally for Ghostbusters, Masters of the Universe and DC fan that seems to have everything check out Mattel's collector site which has a bunch of stuff coming up soon: http://tinyurl.com/ykzupov On the 15th they're selling: MOTUC: King Grayskull, Grizzlor & A Weapons Pack Ghostbusters: Peter Venkman (GB 1 Uniform) figure. http://tinyurl.com/3aeswdh Then on CYBER MONDAY Nov. 29th they're having a sale with the following: ALL FOUR 12 inch Ghostbusters, He-Man, Skeletor AND Battle Cat plus a lot of DC Comics items. Then on December 1st, a full scale prop replica of the Ghostbusters PKE Meter. http://tinyurl.com/9or7ch Most of this stuff (especially the MOTU stuff) sells out pretty quickly so I'd be ready to log on right at the start of the sales. Hope this helps.

I have yet to meet a person who has not immediately been hooked, once they play it for about ten minutes. Even people I know who hate videogames wanted to buy a PS3 after I let them play it for a few minutes. I don't know what it's like with the new Move controls, since I don't have one of those yet, but it's still probably one of the best, most cinematic experiences in videogames.

Other games I'd recommend are Vanquish (PS3/360), Castlevania: Lords of Shadows (I mean, it has Jason Isaacs, Patrick Stewart, and Robert Carlyle all doing voices...PS3/360, although the 360 version is inferior, being on 2 discs in a game that encourages replaying levels), God of War III (PS3), Yakuza 3 (PS3), and Bayonetta (PS3/360, with the 360 version being slightly better graphically). I guess I'd also recommend "Gran Turismo 5," even though I personally can't stand racing games. Do NOT put "The Force Unleashed II" in there, as it is complete and utter shit. Only 5 hours long and even more pointless than the movie prequel trilogy.

There's a lot of cool shit coming to PS3 early next year (for example, Dead Space 2 where the PS3 version comes with an HD port of the Wii light-gun game, Dead Space Extraction), but this is for before X-mas.
-
How could I have forgotten Red Dead Redemption? You can also buy "Undead Nightmare" separately, but the smartest move is just to buy the original game and then download the expansion packs on the PSN or X-box Live...

...or just wait until next year for the inevitable Game of the Year Edition, which will most likely have all the DLC packed in, like the recent "Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition" and "Borderlands: GOTY Edition."
-
It's been some kind of massive zombie book year, with the Hunter's Guide and the History of the Year of Infection just out, but a load of them are a big pile of whatsit. So I reckon you could do a lot of favours by recommending the good ones? For my money: * World War Z by Max Brooks (I'm not fussed about either of the Survival Guides) * The Best of Tomes of the Dead by Abaddon Books (really enjoyed this!) * Zombie Apocalypse by Stephen Jones * The Walking Dead (in one of its many collected forms)
-
Right now on Xboxlive you can get all the add-ons together for a cheaper price (less microsoft points) so look for the bundle that includes Undead Nightmare, Liars and Cheats, and Legends and Killers in one pack together. That's likely everything that would be in the Game of the Year Edition. SPEAKING of Game of the Year Editions. Batman:Arkham Asylum's GOTY Edition comes with all the add-ons (On the PS3 Version you can play as The Joker in the challenge modes) AND you can play the entire game in 3-D (two sets of 3-D glasses are packaged with the game) so if god forbid you haven't played it or know any unfortunate souls that haven't now is the time to pick it up.
-
... but if you're going to be using the TB suggestions on here, is there any point in reading your annual Christmas Gift Guide this year? I mean this TB is essentially your Guide.
-
...but I still want them to list upcoming DVD's. Let's face it, there is a lot of product out there on dvd that's not on blu. I'm not gonna be a snob, cuz what good would it do me? I just bought the Rich Man Poor Man set, I coulda said no, I'll wait for the blurays, but then I'd probably have to wait to watch them around thanksgiving 2020.
-
Speaking of zombie books, this one was pretty kickass. Better than those literary zom-mashups. And Aussie_Dave, WWZ was on Quint's list, in 2006.
-
Yeah, they have it on the Playstation Network too, but it's not immediately clear what it is until you read the product description, as it's called "Undead Nightmare Collection" or something. It probably would've been better to call it the "Red Dead Redemption Add-On Collection" or something, but I guess they wanted to capitalize on the zombie craze. Still badass game, though.
-
its pretty cool. monsters in Motion has a listing for it.
-
It's a thing of beauty. Check out a video review http://ghostbustersnews.com/?p=3554
