Here's a glimpse of a commercial that Stephen Hunter aka BOMBUR in THE HOBBIT did for Toyota!
Hey folks, Harry here - now that everything is settled on THE HOBBIT - and I can allow my inner Hobbit mega-geek to step out bare-footed and partaking of the halflings' leaf - I can really start dorking out about this film. Now - it is a little hard, because the cast at this point is fairly obscure - much like the last time out with LORD OF THE RINGS, but part of the fun of that is tracking down and becoming familiar with these actors. In particular, one of my fave dwarves is Bombur. I don't know why, but ever since I was a kid and I first watched that Rankin Bass cartoon of THE HOBBIT, I've been fond of Bombur. I think it is because when Bilbo falls in the cave and gets lost - Bombur was the only dwarf to show concern for Bilbo - and that translated to me big time as a kid. So - Who is this Stephen Hunter? He's done some NZ Television work, but mostly... I'm not familiar, but a spider with the most famous of webs wrote with a link to the below Commercial. SO - if you want to see an extreme Dwarf - here ya go...

looks like a hobbit to me
-
And Hashberry.
-
They're not the same character are they?
-
he makes bombs.of the explosive kind.
-
Bombadil is a bear/man and Bombur is a dwarf
-
just kidding, screw midgets!
-
But this guy has a higher voice than the cartoon Bombur. I always thought Bombur = Bombastic Big Guy. oh well, he'll take on the comic relief that Gimli had, only this time it will work better. He looks like a fun guy.

In time to take our first child to see the Hobbit films. I was maybe 6 when I saw the animated Hobbit in a school assembly. The film changed my whole life. I had never imagined anything like the world of characters of the Hobbit. My wife and I actually read the Hobbit to each other at the base of a remote waterfall for our first date and read through all the Lord of the Rings books until the first film released a few weeks before our first year wedding anniversary. We're having our ten year anniversary this Dec and we're finally ready to start having kids. I can't wait to show them the Hobbit films. God I hope they are able to sit through one of them in the theater.

I mean that it opened up my imagination. I actually design video games for a living. I work from my home. I live the good life. I would never have had the vision to do something this risky and cool for a living if I hadn't had such a big imagination. I would have been something boring like an accountant or a lawyer or doctor. Admirable careers, but no where NEAR as much fun as having an imagination for a living.

Bombadil is definitely not a bear man. That's Beorn.
-
Good casting.
-
...but I still say these stories don't work on film. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong this time.
-
Lucky you! My wife hated Fellowship of the Ring, and wouldn't watch the other ones with me. When I announced happily that they had finally started making The Hobbit movies, I was told I would be seeing them alone. Ah, well. Don't care. More Hobbit for me!
-
J. R. R. Tolkien liked words that start with B.
-
I'm onboard.
-
I can't imagine why.
-
Kevin Willis, my fiancé whilst she enjoyed the films is not as big a fan as I am. Was blasé about The Hobbit until I told her Richard Armitage was in it, now she'll drag me to be first in the queue, so Win for me! (haven't told her, he's playing a dwarf yet) - you could try that!
-
...now who's up next?
-
that is sad. sorry man. actually, my wife was really dissapointed when she first saw FOTR, but then when she saw it again without the super hyped excited from devouring EVERYTHING about the film she really loved it and now we can both just put it in and play it anytime.
-
Bombur doesn't give a shit about Bilbo. You're thinking about Dori and/or Balin.

The only thing notable Bombur does is fall into the enchanted river in Mirkwood, leaving his companions to lug around substantial deadweight.

Face it--you liked Bombur because he was the morbidly obese character. Period.
-
"My wife and I are trying to get pregnant." I'd just focus on the wife for now, if I were you. Maybe medical science will progress enough for you to have your chance someday, too. Also, this guy looks like a decent Bombur.

Sounds like you just saw the RANKIN BASS cartoon adaptation once in the 70s.

Again, where do you get off claiming that someone who can't quote from DARK STAR ain't a geek when you are clearly so utterly unfamiliar with Tolkien's famous work?
-
Whales Penis.. Have fun Dorking Out.
-
Man I hope they own the seen where he tears out of the forest and rips thru the elite guard. I vote to give him the T-Rex roar from J-Park right after.
-
"the fat one"
-
it's a cute commercial. Definitely shows the actor's capacity for fun.
-
My girlfriend couldn't agree more! Must be why she screws a "midget" every night...well, almost every night.
