Win a The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest Theatrical Poster Signed by Noomi Rapace (Lisbeth Salander)!

Hey, Scott Green of AICN Anime here. This week, I have the pleasure of running a promotion outside my regular AICN domain. Daniel Alfredson's adaptation of The Girl Who Played With Fire, the second book in the Millennium trilogy that Stieg Larsson began with Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, hits DVD in North America today (October 26th). The adaptation of the third book, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest, hits theatres this Friday (October 29th). THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE -- Synopsis: Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) is a wanted woman. A researcher and a Millennium journalist about to expose the truth about the sex trade in Sweden are brutally murdered, and Salander’s prints are on the weapon. Her history of unpredictable and violent behavior makes her an official danger to society. Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist), Salander’s friend and Millennium’s publisher, is alone in his belief of Salander’s innocence. Digging deeper, Blomkvist unearths evidence implicating highly placed members of Swedish society – as well as shocking details about Salander’s past. He is desperate to get to her before she is cornered– but no one can find her anywhere. The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest – Synopsis: the final installment of the “Millennium Trilogy” – Lisbeth Salander is fighting for her life in more ways than one. In intensive care and charged with three murders, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life. Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back. In honor of these releases, AICN has a prize pack to give away that includes a Noomi Rapace (Lisabeth Salander) signed THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNETS’ NEST theatrical poster, THE GIRL WITH DRAGON TATTOO and THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE DVDs and copies of all three Millennium Trilogy books. To win a the prize pack: Take a picture of your geeky/AICN relevant tattoo. If you don't have a tattoo, feel free draw a facsimile in ink that will wash off (or ink that wouldn't, your preference). Include something saying "Ain't It Cool News" in the shot, so we know that the picture wasn't just grabbed from online. Email the picture, along with your postal address and the subject line "Millennium Trilogy" to animecontest@gmail.com (it's not anime, but that's my contest email address) by Midnight, November 1, 2010. US residents/mailing addresses only please. (Sorry, for the restriction.)

Sweedish AICN'ers, your day has come.
-
...you will by next year; she's confirmed for Sherlock Holmes 2 with Robert Downey Jr.
-
Really? That is cool news! That gal can act. I've loved the casting in this series. I know where my ten bucks are going this weekend!
-
The first adaptation was good, but the second and third were made for TV (literally) and thusly suck balls..
-
Dragon Tattoo was great but Played With Fire was fucking atrocious! I won't even bother with this one...
-
...the first two are on Netflix Instant.
-
Boobs in the first one, boobs and (I believe) bush in the second plus lesbian muff diving - she doesn't show shit in the third which made the experience all the more dreadful..

When the film was a huge sensation the producer stopped filming, reworked the scripts for 2 and 3 and then basically went for the adult audience. Unfortunately, the complexities of the first film were not going to happen with the 2nd and 3rd after so much filming had taken place... RThey are still good movis, but pale compared to the first. The American remakes actually have a shot at besting films 2 and 3 and should do it handily. But can they best the first? No way. Can't see that happening.

agreed
-
i'm moving to goddamned sweden!!
-
Unprofessional idiot. Check your fucking facts.
-
for those who didnt catch it, it originally said "Lisabeth". Did he even SEE the movies?
-
She's pretty!
-
Noomi's boobs? She keeps showing her bare chest but I haven't seen any boobs yet. A couple of biscuits on top of some pectoral muscles? Yeah. Don't get your hopes up, KilliK. <p> Disclaimer: Nothing against Noomi Rapace. She's a fine actress, plays a badass character, and yeah... Who am I kidding? I'd have sweaty, filthy sex with her. But she's got nothing happening in the chestal region. Fact.
-
First one was pretty great but both 2 and 3 got progressively worse. Some nudity but agree with Killik on size of boobs. Noomi can act her ass off and I look forward to seeing her opposite RDJ.

Sum up in a few lines what is the primary appeal of this book (and now movie) series? It just seems so popular and yet to me looks pretty ordinary.
-
Fact: In the books, Lisbeth Salander gets a boob job. Let's hope Fincher does this justice, or there will be some nerd rage for sure.
-
She broke out with a string of bold roles (Daisy Diamond, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo...), only to be swallowed up by Hollywood and do a bunch of big budget popcorn movies. I really hope she can stay true to herself. There are very few Women who are smart, as well as great actresses.
-
guess i wont be getting this poster.

Andrew Caldwell. Working on putting together a winner/honorable mentions post.

I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT!
