BumbleBee smashes into a real Police Cruiser on set of TRANSFORMERS 3
Hey folks, Harry here - and wow. I hope Bumblebee recovers... It seems while shooting TRANSFORMERS 3 - an unfortunate accident occurred. Now the video I'm linking to is FOX DC's coverage- they were there to shoot images of Prime and the Bee driving around DC in front of the Capitol Building - which is cool - but then the Police Cruiser on its way to an emergency got crashed into by BumbleBee - But don't worry kids - I'm sure that was only Stunt BumbleBee. The real BumbleBee was dancing in a back alley somewhere. Seems nobody was hurt, thank god... So - here's the link: Here Ya Go!!!

Sadly, there's a fair # of DCPD that are not the brightest bulbs in the box.<P><P> Apparently, they have both "hero" cars in DC - but one has tinted windows, the other doesn't - so it'll be interesting to see the change in the shots in the final piece.

Seriously the street should be locked the fuck down! What asshol elet a police cruiser through, or was not monitoring and blocking off that side of the street. Seriously. Everyone has a fucking walkie talkie, and no one said anything like "Police cruiser entering road- stop driving stop driving." A woman got her fucking head wacked in and is mentally retarded now because of this movie. Why is this shit happening? I dont understand it. Makes me sick.

The cop actually tried to do some evasive driving. Wreck would have been worse if he hadn't moved at the last second. Bumblebee just locked up his brakes like every soccer mom who gets in a wreck in front of the mall. The reason this shit is happening is obvious, they are hiring people who aren't any good at the only thing they are being paid to do.

Tearing ass? Did you watch the video? He was running code, (which means he was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens on). He appeared to be proceeding through the set at a fairly cautious speed for running code. I'm sure the bumblebee driver was just on his marks going where he was supposed to for the shot. The cop was doing his job. So was the autobot. The people that didn't do their jobs were the ones blocking the roads or the ones that should have shut down the shot as soon as the emergency vehicle entered the set.

when they all they had was the one camaro which was a prototype. they werent even allowed to scratch it. but it shows how fragile cars are, that hit wasnt even that hard and look at Bumblebee. but it was pretty cool to see Prime driving with the trailer attached.

...if there weren't a number of injuries adding up on Bay's TF3 set, but there are, so I'm fairly disgusted with the amateurish, reckless work being done by Bay. I agree with the previous poster that AICN needs to stop posting on TF3's behind the scenes as long as this crap is happening. I don't mind you posting the trailer for the movie and eventually reviewing the movie.

According to the local news in DC, the officer involved in the accident was on a different radio channel and didn't know that a movie was going on. Also when he hit the car, there was a red light. The cop was supposed to stop, even if noone was passing along it. They've stopped filming in DC until they investigate.

Caught a glimpse of the crash, most a lot of people around me thought it was a part of the movie. I've lived in DC for 2 years, and I can tell you we have one of the most atrocious police forces in the country. Routinely harassing low income citizens, and general lack of caring and all around laziness. It's no coincidence DC has the highest crime rate per capita of any city in the US. I'm sure this officer just thought, "Road closed? Well eff that I have a badge I'm going through!" .. and CRASH. Last winter an officer pulled a gun on a group of students during a snowball fight. Having said that I'd pat the officer on the back if Michael Bay was driving the Camaro

Saw Prime+trailer, Ratchet, Hide; covered Twins; the cool tanker that's been noticed elsewhere - and it's fugly & potentially scary; the Datsun POS that Sam's been seen with. And my buddy caught pics of fixed-Bee - both Hero cars. So they have a top-notch crew that fixed that fender & bumper overnight :) Plus sweet NEST rides, and new Bots. Missed the Ferrari & Mercedes being rolled out, as well as Sideswipe :( Can't wait to BotCon 2011 in Pasadena next year.

Emergency Vehicles are allowed by law to use closed or blocked off roads. The officer was responding to an emergency. The right thing to do. It's the overall organization and communication of what was being filmed/performed that failed here. I doubt if this officer was aware of what was going on at the time he would have never taken that route. I blame the organizers and those officers that helped plan the closure of the street.

That cop was likely sleeping through the morning briefing, too occupied dunking his donut, or dunking his donut into another officer to heard the part of the briefing that said TRANSFORMER MOVIE FILMING TODAY ON ......streets, stay alert! Theres just no way this cop gets off easy, he fouled up in more ways than one. And what if the accident went into the crowd of people standing nearby?

Transformers is Bay's best film. EASY. <P> I know that's not saying a whole lot... but it is. And TF2 is an absolute ABOMINATION. Pure garbage. Everything that worked in the first flick was completely absent in the 2nd. TF3 will most likely suck arse. Just hopefully not as much as the 2nd one... <P> In BAY WE TRUST!

No, I can't imagine a Raiders-style truck chase in a Transformers movie. The Raiders truck chase is one of the greatest action scenes ever put to screen, and the TF movies are pieces of uninvolving, poorly-paced crap.

Is he directing by remote? after the crash, i bet he went into afit, blamed everybody else from the set carpenter to the President Of The United States, then went to snort more cocaine. However, we can also see the Videos of the crash on the TF Movie-Blog. It appears to me that the Bumblebee-Driver didn't notice, that this car wasn't a part of the scene, if it were, it would probably have worked way better, without a crash. (Remember, that some of the Action is pretty close, like in the first movie, where they had a Bulletproof Camera next to Shia) Well, but luckily for the Policeman, there were actually a lot of people around to help. But one thing is still bugging me: Why didn't he notice, What's going on, before crashing? Even if he ignores the barriers and signs, he should have been able to see the Cameras, and the People on the Set.
