Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!
It’s a weird day for a horror fan when you get an email from Don Mancini. It’s an even weirder day when that email is passing along a set of pictures from Jennifer Tilly that she wants contributed to your little movie nerd column about behind the scenes images.
Candid photos these are not, but Ms. Tilly assures me they haven’t been seen anywhere and they feature massive amounts of cleavage and blood, so who am I to deny the lovely lady?
What you’re about to see are a series of stills from the behind the scenes of Seed of Chucky as Ms. Tilly plays Mama to baby Glen.

I would put a Tilly request on par with Stallone mucking about in the Talkbacks. Very cool. She's someone I miss in films. I feel like she's due for a Tarantino role.<p>Also, it might not need to be said, but Bride/Seed of Chucky are very clearly the best Chucky films. I'm a bit sad they stopped there, but really... Glen/Glenda demon doll baby, that's some kind of punctuation on the end of a franchise.<p>

And not a damn remake/reboot! The last two were really fun because of the added humor/satirical elements in them. Reminded me of how Evil DEad 2 was a more comedic spin on the original Evil Dead. It's been like 6-7 years since the last one and I'd enjoy seeing another Chucky sequel.

Always cool to see industry members contributing to something very nerd-centric like this... cool pictures indeed. Its just a shame that "Seed" was such a severe misfire. Mancini's script and Ronny Yu's direction had really reinvigorated the franchise just a few years prior with "Bride of Chucky," and I was super psyched to see Mancini get behind the lens for an even more fucked up sequel. But it just didn't do it for me... the Chucky/Tiff bits were good, and Redman adapting the bible for the big screen cracked me up, but everything else(especially the gender-bending child) was a whiff. But, yes, I agree with other TB'ers... we need another Child's Play. its due. and if anyone ever tries a remake without the involvement of Brad Dourif, I will PERSONALLY kill them.

...of the last decade, along with Van Helsing, Domino and Speed Racer. It makes even the slightly-less-terrible Bride Of Chucky seems like a masterpiece. The first two Chucky movies worked because the humor didn't detract from the genuine suspense (especially the second film, the best of the series), but this forced "wacky", in-joke style of the last two films has been nothing less than disastrous. I actually WELCOME a remake/boot just to have the chance for a genuinely scary Chucky movie again.

It never even got an ANAMORPHIC TRANSFER on DVD. Aside from the obviously, screen-melting hotness of Tilly-on-Gershon lesbian action, it's also the best movie the Wachowski siblings have made to date.
