AICN COMICS NYCC REPORT: Day Two!!!

Hey folks, it’s Ambush Bug here at the New York Comic Con. I'm abouto head out for the con again after a whirlwind of a first day. Lots of hand shaking, interview planning, and general zombie-ing around the aisles yesterday. Today is interview day and I'll have a boatload of them to share when I get back.
A few quick news bits: IDW Publishing is going to have a cool mini-non-crossover involving their TRANSFORMERS, GI JOE, GHOSTBUSTERS, and STAR TREK books called INFESTATION where their ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS book spills into each of their universes. This usually wouldn't be my type of thing, but then I heard the creative team of Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning were writing the thing and I was immediately interested.
In other IDW Publishing news, Eric THE GOON Powell will be writing and supplying covers for a new GODZILLA comic and they promise to not only to deliver much carnage from the classic monster, but also a ton of other classic giant monsters for the first time in comics history together again!
I'm going to check out the new LADY DEATH today at the Avatar booth and I'll be reporting back to you guys about how this new incarnation "stacks" up.
Marvel announced that Andy Diggle and Adi Granov will be taking on a new ASTONISHING CAPTAIN AMERICA series set during World War Two! Art looks pretty fantastic and I always check out stuff from Diggle! Should be fun.
There's also going to be a new WOLVERINE & JUBILEE miniseries that ties into their CURSE OF THE MUTANTS crossover. Daniel Way takes over writing ASTONISHING X-MEN. And the X-Men and SPidey team up for their second act of CURSE OF THE MUTANTS in "To Serve & Protect."
In DC news, Nick Spencer is writing SUPERGIRL, Mike Mayhew will be writing GREEN ARROW, and The Source has previews of DC's new Batman books, BATMAN THE DARK NIGHT from David Finch and BATMAN INC. from Morrison and Yanick Paquette posted.
Stopped by the Atlas / Ardden Entertainment booth and the COM.X booths and picked up some of their books. More details coming soon on what I picked up in particular, but if you're at the con, stop by these smaller press publishers. They've got some really promising books available at their booths.
Well, I am out of here. Headed back to the con for interviews all day. My pal, Matt Pizzolo and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's Nicki Clyne will be signing Halo-8's GODKILLER DVD at the Graphic.ly booth at 5 tongiht. So be sure to swing by and check them out.
Tonight is going to be tough. Whereas there wasn't much going on last night aside from drinking and schmoozing, tonight there are three events I need to check out. I'm going to have to decide between seeing Seattle's nerd rock back Kirby Krackle in concert, a 11:30pm screening of Halo-8's GRANT MORRISON: TALKING WITH GODS Documentary from director Patrick Meany (at 122 East 12th St, advance tickets can be found on the website), or a live radio show of Archaia's MOON LAKE from Dan Fogler followed by a midnight screening of his new film HYSTERICAL PSYCHO at the same theater. Decisions, decisions...
I'll check back tomorrow with more.
