GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE Finds A Nasty Devil And A MILF!!

Ciaran Hinds (MUNICH, HBO's ROME, the final HARRY POTTER film Parts 1&2) looks to be playing The Devil in the forthcoming GHOST RIDER sequel. The picture finds Nicolas Cage's Johnny Blaze recruited by a sect to stop said Devil from possessing his mortal son on the boy's birthday (and I thought a pencil sharpener was a really shitty birthday present...). The extremely hot Violante Placido, recently seen in THE AMERICAN, will play the boy's mother - all will be working from a story by David Goyer which was scripted by CRANK's Neveldine/Taylor (who will also direct). I've said this before, and it should be noted again here: Neveldine/ Taylor were recently credited for writing the bewildering JONAH HEX adaptation that came out last Summer. However, what was filmed was quite a bit different than what the duo scripted - so it wouldn't be entirely fair to rake them over the coals specifically for their HEX credit. I, for one, loved their CRANK movies, and am interested to see what they come up with here. More at THR.
