The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day! The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day! The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!
Since tomorrow kicks off 31 days of all horror themed BTS pics I figure what better way to help make the transition than a picture with a decapitated head in it?
BEETLEJUICE isn’t really a horror flick, but a hodgepodge of many things. You got horror, comedy, sci-fi, Tim Burton and a little tragic romance to top things off. That's not just me, right? I always felt pretty bad for Adam and Barbara, especially at the end when that bastard Otho (God rest) mummified them.
For some people the culmination of Tim Burton’s visual style is Edward Scissorhands. For me, it’s Beetlejuice. I love Edward Scissorhands, don’t get me wrong, but Beetlejuice is much more my speed, which is probably why I love Mars Attacks! so much as it has many of the same flairs that Beetlejuice has. Beetlejuice wins, though… it has the better Danny Elfman score, a cooler world, an F-bomb and young Winona Ryder was hotter than young Natalie Portman in my adolescent mind.
Here’s the pic from Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, submitted by reader Art Webb! Enjoy!

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here.
Tomorrow’s Behind the Scenes Pic kicks off a month of monster and horror BTS pictures! You’ll want to play with them forevah. And evah. And evah!

I've seen The Exorcist about a hundred and sixty-seven times
by alan_poon
AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT.

Welcome to AICN 1984 style.
-
Gets better w/ age like a fine wine.
-
there's plenty of snakes and lizards for them to play with.
-
Just watched her in "The Fly" again two nights ago. I bated to her more than once, I can tell you.
-
If you thought Exorcist was funny, you should see Exorcist II.
Me, I love Exorcist (the movie and the book, not to mention Exorcist III Legion).
-
shouldn't she be going to softcore porn about now?
-
I can't wait to hear all the tired old rips in Tim Burton and someone postng that stupid comedy video of his staff meeting again. Sigh. Despite that- Beetlejuice is a classic in every sense and still holds up beautifully. Michael Keaton at his best! "Nice f-cking model! -honk honk-"
-
hard that my splooge came out his nose. Jealous? I know, I know. I'm so fuckin lucky. So note to LA vandals: Please hit FOX next. Fox news headquarters being burned down would be like the greatest thing that ever happened and perhaps a pivotal turning point in human evolution. But fox movie studios would also make for an excellent target. Just think of all those great props that you and your homies could smoke crack out of while tattooing your eyes and widening your anuses with each other's cocks in preparation for more prison stints.

all covered in blood sharing a laugh with Kubrick?

(reposted from the XMen TB)
BringingSexyBack
by William_Faulkner
Sep 29th, 2010 05:59:06 PM
My bannings were always confusing because I always thought of them as creative musings and no different than the rest of the "great unwashed" (to quote blackwood) and they were not hateful at all....they came very suddenly. It was not clear to understand the rules guiding my bannings. Vader's is quite clear to understand. So why is he above anyone else who is banned here? He shouldn't be. Plus, he has had his name re-instated here once before, as have you. You and Vader get away with a lot that the rest of us don't. Humility is a good thing, and it's good to know that longevity at this site doesn't make some talkbackers above others.
FAULKNER
by BringingSexyBack
Sep 29th, 2010 06:08:20 PM
How did you know I had my handle reinstated? That was a long time ago too.
For the record, I had my original handle banned, never to be seen again. That I own up to.
My current handle did get wiped but it was part of some mass banning of TBers whose flame war I (ironically) had nothing to do with. I asked Mori to review, he agreed, and resurrected my ass.
But again, my original handle was banned (to the satisfaction of many at the time :) ) and I owned up to it. I felt I deserved it. But this is really a different case.
Thing is, I'm a little surprised (pleasantly so) at the outpouring of support from all quarters for D. Not just from the Pedalbackers (of which I am not one), but from every corner. It just goes to show you that despite the vitriol that floods every talkback, the good guys seem to make a lasting impression. They make a difference. So I think the support is more than just for Vader the talkbacker, but also for his KIND of talkbacker. Courteous, respectful, thoughtful. We should all fight to protect that.

He was a tool and a douchbag who didn't have the common sense to shut his fucking hole when it was inappropriate. He's also posting right now as one of you idiots and he's probably chanting D Vader himself. So please go find the god damn you micheal bay guy and fuck him you useless little cunts

To shrink down that crazy long list of links, just use one. Link to another page where you can dump the URLs for all these past "behind the scenes" pics.

Wish I was there right now. Working is hard...
-
I guarantee the "Burton haters" don't hate Beetlejuice. They hate what he's mostly put out since, & w/ good reason . . .

this is what you are left with.
Fuck
Cunt
Douche
Blah Blah Blah
You know....real movie fans.

Behind the Scenes Pic of the day is great, but what are the odds of us getting A Horror Movie a Day just for October? Pretty please?
-
stop using google and be original.
-
Brilliant imagination, but I've never seen a film of his that didn't have a limp third act. It's almost as if he loses interest in a story 2/3 of the way through and is already thinking about his next project...although that isn't necessarily the case, with the way movies are shot, the climactic scenes might be the first things they put to film.
-
...BHTSPOTD.

I have a hard time connecting this Alec Baldwin with the one tod
by Chewtoy
I mean, I know it's the same guy, but it seems like a completely different person in my mind... and yet I enjoy each of them.
-
His wife calls him MiniCooper. She likes my Dodge Charger better. Tell her Hi for me.
-
to get in our face Depp and your wife for the rest of your career, because for some unknown reason you dont want to work again with Keaton, you know the actor who after all made you one of the most famous directors with Batman and BJ?
-
in the movie Girls from Planet Earth are Easy (with Currey and Goldblum),in the scene where she sunbaths, was she really her or a double? because if she was really her,oh my, oh my.
Its a pity though that she married Harlin who ended up destroying her career permanently.fucker.
-
seriously, you banned Vader for a lot less
-
Is it funny? Fuck yeah. But it's about a fuckin' ghost that messes with the living on the behalf of other ghosts who just want their house back, dammit! The title character is a demonic ghost. He terrifies the living and the dead.
Don't tell me Beetlejuice isn't a goddamn Horror movie!

Edward Scissorhands. That would be wrong.

STARGATE UNIVERSE is the best sci fi show to ever exist!
by DioxholsterReturns
i dare anyone to argue against that fact!!!!!
-
and I second a Beetlejuice 2, easy on the CG.
-
The way of the future. The way of the future. The way of the future.
-
That has to be one of the worst cartoon adaptations ever. He went from being a raunchy sleazebag to a pun making douchebag.
-
What a SMOKING hot babe back then. Beetlejuice has her at her absolute cutest, with the frizzy 80's hair.

And WTF is up with the Beetlejuice "anniversary edition"?
by Nasty In The Pasty
Twenty years of waiting for a proper SE of the movie, and the only extra features are a few episodes of the crummy animated TV spinoff? No interviews, no commentary (wait, Burton commentaries...scratch that), no deleted scenes or behind-the-scenes featurettes...what a gyp.
-
nice one.
-
from around 1990, and the (female) audience gasped at how he looked then, as opposed to the barrel of a man he is now. And Baldwin still had that cat that swallowed the canary smile on his face, because after all, he's still Alec Baldwin and you're not. He did have Basinger in her prime, lucky dog...

I was gonna say Tora,Tora,Tora!
by BEYONDTHUNDERDOME2GIRLS1CUPBILLCOSBY
But Beetlejuice is just as good.
-
... Is the most overrated director out there, after M Night. The guy has been making movies for 20+ years and only has one really great film - Ed Wood. He has great ideas that are turned into
-
..terrible films. WTF is gong on witht his board today?
-
Fuck D.Vader

You would dare call for my banning?! What outrageousness!
by UltraTron
I salute you!
-
But I'm not allowed to share the top secret pictures, like the one of Alex Hyde-White as Henry Jones I saw last week. That would make a great bts pic !
-
None of his new stuff moves me much. He was my favourite director as a kid. ALICE and CHARLIE both left me cold. They seemed soulless and rote.
I always felt SLEEPY HOLLOW was underrated, too.
-
The Shining?
-
MAN IN A SUIT!!!!
MAN IN A SUIT!!!!
MAN IN A SUIT!!!!

FIFTY DAHLLAH BILL!

FIFTY DAHLLAH BILL!

FIFTY DAHLLAH BILL!

-
Was so close to being made when it would have still been relevant. There were a couple titles, right? Bride of Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiin or some such silliness.
-
sexy women. Lisa Marie was way out of his league. Why he ever left a beautiful woman like her for Bonham Carter I'll never understand.
-
Harlin destroyed her career by giving her strong female leads in huge movies. That's not a bad way to go. Can't really fault a guy for wanting the best for his lady.
-
flick as Arachnaphobia was. Oh, wait. That was a "Thrill-omedy". My mistake.
-
I agree, Burton of this decade has been dull. I think Sleepy Hollow was his last good movie.
-

the cartoon was in a league of it's own

FACT!
-
ED WOOD is his best movie, bar none...as a piece of cinema. Is it also my favorite? Maybe. But it's not an easy choice.
-
as Beetlejuice. His bits are the only ones worth watching. The rest of the film is rather forgettable - just like Burton's subsequent output.
-
Burton really drills it maybe one in three. (Nightmare, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Corpse Bride) Then there are the good but somehow forgettable ones. (Sweeney, Sleepy Hollow, Edward) And then there are the stinkers. (Apes, Batman, Batman Again, Charlie) I guess that isn't so bad now that I type it out. Ok, I'll take back my previous bitching.
-
All this Burton talk, and neither of those has been mentioned once?!
-
spades. That's the only reason I can think to dump that hot blonde. She grows a mound fluffy enough to land on from the 3rd floor I bet
-
a tennis ball with dots over it or something. pfft.
-
Man in suit! Man in suit! Man in suit!
-
His endings always leave something to be desired. Even when he caved with Alice and gave us a grand Hollywood end-battle scene, there is something missing with the endings.
