BACK TO THE FUTURE’s Robert Zemeckis To Make His First Live-Action Feature In A Decade?? And It’s About Time Travel????

I am – Hercules!! Robert Zemeckis, whose feature directorial output subsequent to 2000’s “Castaway” has been limited to motion-capture CGI projects, is said to be plotting a return to live-action filmmaking. And the director of the three “Back To The Future” films is using a time travel story to do it, according to Deadline Hollywood. The era-hopping Warner Bros. project is titled “Timeless” and will be written by Mike Thompson (“Dragonfly,” “Love Happens”), according to Deadline. Zemeckis, whose more recent efforts have included “The Polar Express,” “Beowulf,” “A Christmas Carol” and the “Yellow Submarine” remake, has also reportedly been contemplating hopping aboard Christopher Nolan’s proposed new live-action Superman movie. Though I like Zemeckis’ CGI efforts just fine, I have to say I much preferred when he was working with flesh and blood players in projects like “Used Cars,” “Forrest Gump,” “Contact” and “Castaway.” Find all of Deadline’s exclusive on the matter here.
