Harry feels karmic whiplash from ONG BAK 3, calling lawyer to sue

Hey folks, Harry here at Fantastic Fest... And my nose just got bloody from ONG BAK 3. And that is not good thing. I am on record as loving every Tony Jaa starring film from the beginning of his career, in fact two years before one of his films hit these shores I was raving about the second coming of Bruce Lee... No longer... It isn't that I don't believe in Tony Jaa as a presence on film... Dear God he is fiercely charismatic and I love watching the furor in his face while fighting, but in Ong Bak 3 there is not a single character beat,no dialogue to get to know the characters, but if you want two fists and-seven elbow blows of Buddhist philosophy and it is like that scene in Seagal's ON DEADLY GROUND when he began that 72 hour monologue on the environment... And we all contemplated seppuku and chickened out because we didn't want our bodies found in the theater that played that film.. The shame would be too much. Essentially the movie picks up at the end of the last film, you will see about 45 minutes of Tony being beaten and smashed, seemingly another 45 minutes of dumb boring as hell training and then what felt like 45 minutes of Tony Jaa kicking ass, getting his ass kicked and him kicking ass again. This film is sloppy action, sloppy shot, sloppy edited and not thought out at all for the audience of the original Ong Bak and is several flights of stairs far far far beneath the second film, so if you hated that, this is a no morphine root canal! I know the film isn't as long as I divided it up there - but it seemed like it. It felt roughly two and a half hours - and a long 2 & a half hours. Like Dentist lobby time stretching. I am currently at a table with 8 hardcore fans and we all HATED it. There really is no room for another option on this. It is terrible. I am very interested to see what happens with Tony Jaa after this, if he retired, it would be a huge shame. Please somebody woo him to a great script, a long shooting schedule and sane people at the mast.
