-
the internet ruins movies, but at the same time it also helps promoting smaller movies. Gift and a curse i 'spose

Even if Catfish is real, which I highly doubt, the hugh Hitghcockian twist at the end is totally underwhelming. And why is this movie called catfish? Somebody please tell me because I don't want to see this.

I haven't read a spoiler-filled review of this for at least a month or two, yet I vaguely remember a review saying the title is explained at the end of the movie, when the guys are at the old lady's house. I think the husband is the one that uses the word catfish. If I remember correctly, he describes his wife as someone who needs to have an alternate identity/life outside of the one she has, which is weighed down by responsibilities for her "special" son. I might be making all this up because I haven't read about the movie in a really long time, yet I think that description by the husband somehow connects with catfish.
