Trailer For THE ROOMMATE Finds Minka Kelly And Leighton Meester Playing SINGLE WHITE FEMALE!

The minute Screen Gems landed Minka Kelly, Leighton Meester and Aly Michalka (of The CW's HELLCATS, which I have not watched) for their routine thriller THE ROOMMATE, they should've thrown millions of dollars at Barbet Schroeder or, better yet, Paul Verhoeven until they had no choice but to take the assignment. Then they should've given them final cut, and stood back while film history was made.
Instead, they hired some Danish dude named Christian E. Christiansen to direct a standard-issue, PG-13-rated retread of SINGLE WHITE FEMALE. The fucking ads for GOSSIP GIRL are more tawdry than this.

This would be a perfect vehicle for the two starlets to make their full front nude debut. I hate to sound like a typical talkbacker any time two hot young starlets are cast in a serious movie together, but sometimes these wishes come true (Black Swan, depot the no nudity I suppose). But I'm serious. This is a perfect vehicle for it.

if you google minka kelly and leighton meester there are probably like 1,000 websites that talk about how much they look alike. so why anyone would put them in a movie together where their resemblance isn't a plot point is kind of stupid. in fact, while they were at it they should have cast kerry bische from scrubs in the aly michalka role just for good measure since she's also a dead ringer for leighton meester. also, is there any chance in hell that kitten is making it through this movie alive? i highly doubt it.

Dyes her hair Brown for Gossip Girl she looks just like Minka Kelly. This will be one of those surprise hits like Beyonce's "Obsessed". Leighton is not getting the breaks that Blake is getting, and yet she is the better actor of the two. But that is how shit usually works.
