Roger & Julie Corman will be honored at FANTASTIC FEST 2010!!!
Hey folks, Harry here with the latest bit of FANTASTIC FEST Awesome Sauce! In addition to Yuen Woo Ping's Life Time Acheivement, FANTASTIC FEST will also honor the work of Roger Corman & his partner Julie Corman!!! Personally, I'm so jazzed that the Alamo will finally play host to the greatness of Roger Corman. Now if we were only playing BUCKET OF BLOOD and had Dick Miller coming in to present the award! I just had Roger Corman leave a voicemail for Harry weeks ago!

I was sitting with Roger Corman at Fright Night Film Fest (Julie was there too) back in the heat of August, and called Harry. I got his voicemail so I turned the phone over to Roger who proceeded to say, "I want to thank you for promoting 'Sharktapus' on your website". I was laughing my ass off even though I was pretty nervous sitting next to this living legend. I mean, what the fuck do you say to Roger Corman? I love your films? I asked him about "Rock n Roll High School", "Masque of the Red Death", his attitude regarding "Piranha 3-D", etc. He had just returned from the local cinemas after seeing "Inception" and he told me he thought it was the best film he'd seen this year. I got to spend a few hours with him in between his signing of autographs for fans and told him all about the Alamo and Tim League. I hope that in some way this might have helped grease the geers in getting Roger and Julie to my favorite theater.

Im assuming I know who are,..if so your posters are in my basement,..if this isnt you will have no idea what Im talking about.Roger and Julie were awesome I was able to show Julie around for an afternoon and it was cool talking films with both of them

Yeah, I was wondering about those posters, but if they're safe with you, that's cool. They were already moved out by the time I arrived on Monday. I thought you would be the best person to show Julie around as you've actually shot on various locations around town. Nice job. Anyway, I hope Texas boys appreciate the fact that we got Roger in the ville first! Represent!
