Nineteen-year-old Bristol Palin - the longtime abstinence advocate famous for, among other things, the lack of contraception that resulted in the 2008 birth of love child Tripp Johnston – will compete on the next "Dancing With The Stars" alongside former “The Hills” star Audrina Partridge, former “America’s Got Talent” star David Hasselhoff, former “America’s Got Talent” star Brandy Norwood, former Laker Rick Fox, pop star Michael Bolton and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from “Jersey Shore,” according to E! sources.
Palin was back in the news recently when she briefly renewed her relationship with baby-daddy Levi Johnston -- but no word has yet emerged on whether or not she maintained her stand on celibacy as the couple renewed their friendship this summer.
Palin’s mom, who says she believes David Letterman likes to joke about rape on his late-night chat show, has her own reality show, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” coming this fall to TLC. The father of Bristol’s toddler, Levi Johnston, is reportedly pitching a reality show about him running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

I suppose former drug addicts can't speak out against drug abuse and former criminals can't speak to students about avoiding a life of crime. I fear a Palin presidency as much as the next guy, but to say that a kid can't tell how their mistakes led them to a different outlook on life is just plain ridiculous.

More often than not it pushes both the mother and the child into a life of, if not poverty, then way below the standard of living that it should or could be at. That's why it's ridiculous to hear someone like Jennifer Aniston go on about how it's perfectly alright to have a child out a father around. Well, if circumstances call for it, a woman has to do what a woman has to do. But statistics and common sense tell us a child is much better off when a man and woman stay together to raise the child. This isn't even debatable. There, of course, are exceptions. If the father dies, the mother is wealthy, there's a large extended family, or even if there is a gay couple that wants to adopt. But to say that it ISN'T ideal for a mother not have a child so young is irresponsible.<p>As far as picking on Bristol Palin, attack her all you want. At this point, she is putting herself in the public eye. However, to keep referring to her a slut, well, as far as anyone here knows, she's only had sex with one guy her whole life. A black liberal columnist made up the term. Yet, Limbaugh gets hammered for using the term on his program. So, you tell me.
