Clap for the Wolf Man in today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic! The below picture, taken during the filming of Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, features one of the king make-up artists of all time, Mr. Jack Pierce as he works on one of my favorites of his creations: Lon Chaney Jr.’s The Wolf Man. This picture has been a popular one, sent my way by more than a few readers, but it’s one that I’ve had since the inception of this column. In fact, it was in the very first group of pics I set aside when I made up my mind to do this as a regular thing. Pierce was responsible for the majority of the Universal Monsters and, as I said earlier, The Wolf Man is one of my favorites. I love how Chaney Jr. plays him, I love the look of the creature and I just love the feel of the original movie. If I’m to be totally honest, I never did see Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man, but this pic isn’t dependent on knowing that particular outing. It’s still the master working with one of his best creations. Here’s the pic (click for a bigger version):

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here. Tomorrow’s pic features another not so average Joe and his dog. See ya’ then! -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
