Jeff Goldblum Is Done
With LAW & ORDER!!
I am – Hercules!!
Deadline Hollywood reports that Jeff Goldblum has opted not to return to USA’s “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” with the next season expected to be the series’ 10th and last.
Goldblum appeared as detective Zach Nichols on 24 episodes of the series between April 2009 and July 2010, 16 of them originally airing between March and July of this year.
Producers are now looking into bringing back Vincent D’Onofrio, whose last episode as detective Robert Goren hit USA April 6.
The original “Law & Order” was cancelled in May but “Law & Order: SVU” is still one of the strongest shows at NBC, where “Las & Order: Los Angeles” launches this fall. I think ITV may still be cranking out “Law & Order: UK,” starring “Battlestar Galactica” vet Jamie Bamber, but I’m not certain about this.

It just wasn't up to snuff. Same old stories with only Goldblum to make them moderately interesting. Get something better, Jeffy.

... quantum physics.... brings Order to the universe. The LAW of gravity... makes things fall. New TV season starts in the fall. Wasting my talent on a TV series is just CRIMINAL... My INTENT is to not return to Law & Order: Criminal Intent!"
-
... for a title on AICN, though.
-
Well, it looks like the L&O franchise is sinking fast. I'll try to give the L.A. show a chance, but Law & Order without New York is like Miami Vice without Miami. The city is part of the show's vibe, character, and personality.
-
Does anybody else want to see Goldblum play Mr. Fantastic?

"“Law & Order: SVU” is still one of the strongest shows at NBC"
by IndyCollector
Sad. Just sad for a once great network.
-
So inferior to the original. SVU is the only show to make CSI look "ivy league"

chaos theory...chaos theory it was first thought of in the sixti
by Waka_Flocka
60, that's the number of episodes they made of punky brewster before it was cancelled
-
his appearances on Colbert have been hilarious and strange, and always end with a plug for Law and Order on USA - "Characters welcome!" Actually, I quite liked that detective show he was on before on NBC - Raines, I think. Had about 6 eps. Much more interesting than any Law and Order show.
-
...then that leaves him free to assume the role of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four Reborn.
-
Tenspeed and Brownshoe.
-
The ITV network showed 13 episodes, and a further 13 have been commissioned for broadcasting late 2010 / early 2011. John Munch hasn't yet appeared in the UK version. The first 13 were based on US scripts, retooled for the UK criminal justice system. It isn't very good.
-
...will she have any scenes where she's standing on a table in a flooded room wearing only a bra and panties? Maybe I'd watch. Then again, it's been 10 years since the last time, so maybe not.
-
...does everyone wear those silly wigs?
-
Goldblum was the only reason I watched that crap franchise. He IS Reed Richards or bring Raines back on AMC. No matter where he goes GOLDBLUM WILL OWN YOUR ASSES, NANCY-BOYS.
-
holy shit, i've never even seen ana episode and i was a huge L&O fan. But IMO the franchise is dead, the orginal show hadn't been good in years,. SVU also stopped being interesting 4 years ago and no one in the world watches criminal intent. Classic franchise, but like the star trek shows of the 90's it wore out it's welcome with too many spinoffs
-
The writing and stories this past season(on the eps I caught) was horrible. I guess he did what he could but he was on the short end of a shitty stick to begin with becasue of the writing.
-
And no, Goldblum didn't really work in this series.
-
DON'T FUCK with my Californication! That show is great fun and I'd hate to see him go. I mean, that show has some of the best tits this side of True Blood, and it's funny to boot. Who knew that little girl from the Nanny would grow up to be a hottie? Who ever would have thought that droopy-eyes Susan Sarandon would have such a smokin daughter? And who knew that the voice of Bobby Hill would actually be cute? (after seeing the voice of Bart Simpson, it's nice to know at least one of them is bangable). Plus, it's got that guy, I can't think of his name, the one that plays Hank's manager and looks like he could be an Observer from Fringe, but he's fun to watch (in fact, I think the first time I saw the guy was when he was a suspect on Law and Order prime back in the good Jerry Orbach days). But yeah, don't screw with Californication!
-
how sad is it that Mulder went and made something of himself and Scully sank into relative obscurity?
-
It was never the same after Orbach died. They tried but never found a good replacement for him.
Never cared much about the spinoffs, but I am semi-curious how Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard will fare on L&O:LA, but it also has Skeet Ulrich, which is a complete turnoff from any show. (unless, of course, you happen to be lil jon - skeet-skeet!)
-
How about Law & Order: Smallville Then they can team-up with Clark Kent. Everyone else is!
-
With the crucial Deep Cover reference
-
or at least put it out on DVD
-
He was OK but you can't replace the best. Why did they even try?
-
As long as Mariska is there that show has legs. If she leaves - BAM!

and for a couple seasons.
Health and family issues, That's why they brought in a 2nd team of dectives to give him more time off.
L&O is a done franchise
Give it few years before starting a new series
SVU has always been a stupid series, the 2 mains always going off on their own so they can set up a perp so they can murder him.
They they have the *Your my partner your supposed to have my back / trust me scenes*
Rinse repeat

Why not go back to the original concept of the show
by Guy Who Got A Headache And Accidentally Saves The World
Where we follow the crime being committed from the criminals point of view and then see each step the police takes to catch up to them, they literally only did this for the pilot episode. Also there are other crimes than murder, maybe we could see some of that. Who the fuck am I kidding here.
-
to the notion Saffron Burrows was heard to say "Well, it was getting annoying when he would call me Gina."
-
was never good anyway it sucked when vincent d'onofrio and katherine whatever were on it
-
with the franchise a few years ago.
-
Law and Order is about as exciting as watching a cake baking show.
-
But after Jurassic Park his career went to shit. THis role didnt help matters. Whats next? Dancing with the Stars?
-
There really aren't nearly enough good roles for all the talented actresses out there. Plus, she's kind of crazy. Nah, I'm kidding, she's great. But crazy.
-
He was rumored to be dead, so he'd be a natural.
-
When I saw Dinner for Schmucks last weekend, he was in THREE of the trailers for upcoming chick flicks/romantic comedies. Apparently he plays the same kind of "awkward but friendly boss" character in them all. I guess he's found a new niche...
