I saw this trailer the other day, Superman is coming to smallville! This just in, Tom Welling mentioned in a comic con interview, that he would be open to play superman in the movies, if they ask him!

.......wait so, now they discover even more humans, including a "Math girl"? Even after the last Icarus type planet was destroyed? Wait,let me guess; they discover yet another Icarus type planet with Ninth Chevron gate, and it also gets destroyed right after they get a new supply of fresh bodies (and hotties) but right before they can use it to get back home. Something tells me that there's a factory supply line producing these Icarus type planets so they don't ever have to worry about running out of Gates to ship in new bodies with. Either that or they are somehow discovering English speaking Humans at the other end of the Universe.<p> But then again, it's not like the G'oauld, the Jaffa or the Wraith from SG-1 or SG-A learned their English at Dr. Augustine's school and accelerated AP class. <p> Looks like its going to be interesting though, although they probably need to stop losing the ship and getting marooned on random planets by now.

So, I'm guessing that Greystone's wife didn't make it from that jump at the end of that last Season and will be an Avatar this season like her daughter and Adama's kid.<p> And was that F. Murray Abraham, I saw? He's always great for classying up the joint, and a great Sci-Fi character actor.<p> I just hope most of the action doesn't take place in V-world so that were forced to endure SyFy's bad CGI graphics. Maybe if they cut back on all the Sharktopus, Killer Piranha and Mega-Shark vs. Mega-Squid godawful movie of the week nonsense and use some of that dough into actually making the effects of their series' a bit better, they might actually put out a better product. <p> So how is the supposed new series, that they are planning of the First Cylon war going to tie into Caprica?

They completely changed out writing & producing staff, and pretty much from season 8 on it's been Superman. They got rid of Lana (finally! This made the biggest difference!), ditched Lex (who I liked but there was too much crappy baggage they needed to get past),and brought on alot of DCU characters and for the most part have been very faithful to the characters (not always, but about 80-90%). If you really want to get an idea of what its like now, find a stream of "Absolute Justice", it's an episode that brought in the Justice Society w/ Hawkman and several other DC Characters, including hints to Golden Age Flash & Green Lantern. If you like that episode, you'll be good for the last couple of seasons. I'd skip season 7 entirely (and a couple in 8 where Lana comes back briefly), all you need to know is Lana is gone, Green Arrow blew up Lex, rest of that season is worthless.

The Magister dies this weekend! It's a celebration, bitches! Russell Edgington: the only character on True Blood with an IQ over 100 this season. Haters of the show should get a fucking life and appreciate something other than watching titties for 50 minutes. Try porn, more satisfaction guaranteed.

Why the fuck does Siffy think we will sit through 30-second ads before a FUCKING VIDEO THAT'S ADVERTISING THEIR OWN SHIT?!? <P>Warehouse 13 and Eureka, I already saw them at SDCC.<P>Sanctuary video is pretty standard. Damnit, Kate doesn't die in the season premiere, her addition has been total failure. <P>SGU, not looking even remotely different than last season so far. <p>Smallville is what I came to see. HOLY SHIT, there's the costume! Damn, Tess got wrecked, then fixed. Brainiac, Lionel, Jonathan Kent, Chloe as Dr Fate? I really hope this show doesn't end this season, it looks like they're taking it forward finally.

The show has kind of a cheap claustrophobic shadow of itself these later series. Hardly any scenes set in Smallville, practically no exterior scenes (except for the odd establishing shot that may as well be a photograph). It’s mostly the Daily Planet newsroom, the elevator to (and from) the newsroom. Chloe’s stupid giant watchtower room with scores of flat screen monitors, displaying clichéd computery data crap. And the hospital, the fucking hospital again every fucking 5 minutes of every episode someone’s in the fucking hospital. The stories are as overly emo as ever, not really fun at all, when they try to lighten the mood they over do the piffy Danny Elfman inspired, Desperate Housewives, rip-off score. (You know the DO.DE.DO.DE.DO.DO Usually in all the scenes where Clark and Lois interact). <p>But I’m a Superman junkie so ill tune in like a sap just to catch the odd good moments , which are few and far between. Ill put it this way, any episode of the 90’s Lois and Clark is a more entertaining experience. But if you want to catch up anyway, check out the first episode and last episodes of seasons 6 through 9. The stuff in the middle is pointless filler except for maybe the odd episode with the Justice League/ Society or Legion. <P> I’m glad this season is the last one; it looks good from the trailer, but then again so did all the others. I’m betting the season premier will be cool and the next 8 episodes, blah, then a good episode, then a few more blah episodes, with plenty of breaks for holidays, sport events etc then hopefully a kick ass 2 part finale.<P>

And now rumours have been comfirtmed that Tom Welling was approached for the new superman movie (for the record, i don't want a smallville continued superman movie, but i do want Welling in the lead role - he's been clark kent longer then any other actor, time to see him on the big screen in a nolan produced superman reboot)

Surprised Herc didn't label the show "Suberboy" and neglected to mention how old Tom Welling is.<br><br>Smallville was an awful show with incredible moments but they were soooo rare. The new showrunners, starting in season eight, decided to take the approach of shamelessly ripping off anything and everything from the comic books--which is EXACTLY what they should be doing... and exactly what the movies should have been doing.<br><br>The 90s lois and clark was about romance more than superman being superman. The new smallville is what a comic fan should want. I can only imagine how epic the show would have been by now if they started season one with the current showrunners calling the shots.

the trailer show is an edited, cropped cell phone camera feed from comic-con. look for the full video, it shows the highlights from each season. <p> If you want to watch the show and want a jump off, start at season 8. Just read wiki articles for what happened during the other seasons you missed.

No they won't suddenly find new humans or a new Icarus planet or a "ninth chevron gate" (uh, ALL stargates have nine chevrons, always did). But way to jump to the stupidest conclusion! Spoiler: "Math girl" is one of the Lucian Alliance members who gated on board at the end of last season. Oh, and Icarus planet being "destroyed right after they get a new supply of fresh bodies (and hotties) but right before they can use it to get back home"? No, an Icarus planet wouldn't help them get home unless it was on THEIR side of the universe.

Won't happen. Maybe a dvd flick, but with Nolan overseeing The Man of Steel, and the persistent rumor that his brother may direct, do you really think they would consider Welling knowing full well the baggage he comes along with (for better or worse) that could make crafting their Metropolis difficult.

I am currently in the middle of season five and was getting a bit bored. However, after reading comments here, I am anxious to get to season eight and I am picking up on the fact that the series gets better.

SMALLVILLE ROCKS! Season 10 will be the best ever, and Welling did say he is open to play superman in the movies.Even if Nolan says no way, He better bring the heat, because I think after season 10, and the end of the series, he's going to have a tough act to follow.

the S shown in the trailer looks to be raised and textured exactly like Singer's. But I doubt we'll see Welling in it. I think it will appear as more of a tribute. I don't think theyd show it so casually if it was to be his new outfit.
