Sounds awesome!

The new Scooby Doo series "Mystery Incorporated" turned out to be the visually most breathtaking cartoon on TV right now! (Despite the ugly character design and unfortunately the writing uses every fanfiction cliche you can imagine. But holy shit, watch Episode 2 and tell me that your eyes are not popping out from the gorgeousness of that show!)
-
I could get into the CG Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote segments especially. Good stuff.
-
Glad that didn't last.
-
instead of that futuristic shit or some other extreme nonsense. And Young Justice could be just what is expected, or it could be rubbish. I hope it's worth the high hopes I place on it.
-
Nothing else matters.
-
I feel "all spoiled....."
-
Has it been canceled, replaced by Young Justice? (I ask because Batman is in Young Justice, and there have not been any new episodes of Batman Brave and Bold in months.)

when videos can only be viewed in the United states. What about the other 5.5 billion people in the world?

Which itself was originally supposed to bridge the gap between the JL and the JLU episodes, but ended up being its own thing.
-
looks AWFUL...like early playstation 2 children's game cut scene awful. like veggie tales in 1999 awful.
-
Blaqualad, we hardly knew ye.
Leave it to DC to create a character of color, just to outfit him with a Red Shirt. -
Duh! SUPERBOY! Dead in the comics-- isn't he?(I lose track)
-
Look at the credits for ANY Warner Bros cartoon of the classic era. There was never a "writer" credit. Even the early ones say "drawn by". Storyboard artists should be writing this thing, not a guy who can't draw.
From the little snippets they showed, it looks more plot-driven (and, therefore, writer-driven) than character-driven. -
And how is there a superboy? A clone or did Sups do the nasty with Lois Lane?
-
I just reread Thy Kingdom Come JSA and Starman finally made sense.
-
I don't follow it closely either, but last I checked, Superboy is very much alive. There was a dispute over ownership of the character for a while (which is why Superboy was called "Super*man*" in the Legion of Super-Heroes cartoon from a few years back), but that's apparently been resolved.
In any event, Superboy is a big-time property. A brand-new Aqualad (basically created for this cartoon, with a new one being introduced in the comics in real time) is far more expendable.
Of course, it could also be Artemis (lesser-known character; why not Wonder Girl?) or Kid Flash (who I think has died before as well). -
Were you interested in seeing movies about kids? I never was. Kids are boring. I always wanted to see adults. Bat-boy? Are you kidding me?

Rolling wheel of nothingness is all I get.

Whoa, isn't the new Aqualad going to black in the comics?
by hollywoodhellraiser
So which came first?
-
Daffy Duck wasn't a total wanker in it and he actually saved people!
-
To be opened NEVER. How about taking everything that you're doing with the characters in this show and apply it to something original? It's a bunch of generic bullshit anyway. That CGI Road Runner chase was ass. ASS.
-
Isn't in that godawful Teen Titans style animation. I hate Japanimation. Yeah and fuck Blackqualad. Oh wait. That would be racist.
-
What... Black Lightning's kids were busy this season??? QUIT screwing with established characters in the name of "political correctness," DC! There's absolutely no reason for this change.Other than that insulting stupidness, the show looks good! >:|
-
Is she going to be a retard like Starfire on Teen Titans? God I hope not... that's so played.
-
If Aquaman STOLE the son of Black Manta to raise him as his own and keep him on the right path. Have Manta Jr. be the wild card on the team (is he good? bad? both?)... sort of like Orion from New Gods. Maybe have Manta constantly trying to get him back in the fold and provide some sympathy for the bad guy.Otherwise, Blackqualad's just gonna piss me off. And I'm BLACK! >:(
-
We hardly knew ye.....
I'm assuming she's the one who's going to bite it since she is the only character who has not appeared in the comics. Know I know why they didn't use the Mia Deardon Speedy or Arrowette. -
No Cassandra Sandsmark? Why are the Wonder characters always gettting the shaft in these things?
-
That *is* Batman. He's one of the older generation superhero mentors to the Young Justice gane. And has anything been reported at CC about the status of Batman: Brave and the Bold series? Is it still in production? It just seems like it's gone on hiatus -- and their most recent episode (which has yet to air in the US) is a cliffhanger.
-
Fix it! Schnell!
-
10-15 years ago! Do something new wb! Lameass.
-
Cool it, Season 3 is in the works. :-)
-
And how is the animation on Young Justice not different than what was on Justice League?
-
Marvel being the shit for brains that they are cancelled Spectacular Spider-Man and Woverine and The XMen just as things are getting good!DC is going to dominate with this toon just like they're doing with Brave and The Bold and their DTV's!
-
Was in Impulse comic I believe when I was reading it years ago. Her origin was she an nat'l archery champ in school. And a bit of a rebel-had authority problems.
-
I was referring to arrowette who I'd like to see using Artemis' outfit.
-
I for one thinks this looks really decent. The artwork seems very Michael Turner (RIP). Can't wait!
-
Looks abominable.

If you're interested in seeing a great trailer for a DC product, it's gotta be the new DC Universe Online trailer. From YouTube. So, you know... EVERYONE can see it. Fuck I hate these links that are only available in the US. You have fucking readers from outside of the country TOO.. Asshat. -
As in "Gargoyles" - Greg Weisman. I'm there. "Brave & Bold" is kitschy, like the old TV show. Grows on you. Not bad for kids, and adults can watch too without being bored (enjoying some of the shoutouts and inside jokes).
-
Looked soft. Sounded terrible. The CGI Road Runner stuff was embarrassing.
-
According to the Brave and The Bold Comiccon panel the series has been canceled. That is from the article about the panel on IGN. I would like this to be a joke so if someone has information please share. But it seemed pretty real to me.

"Only Available in the US" CRAP!!!! The WB, NBC and all the rest that do it. There is a whole big world outside the US that is interested in your shows. Try and be nice to them too, you jackasses!
-
Oh well. But in the end, the good news is that they intend to wrap things up with some cool sounding episodes. And they will finish out with 65 episodes, which is par course for most animated series runs (geared for the kiddie audience) in the U.S.. (The previous animated series version of Batman, The Batman, also ran for 65 episodes.)
-
...which was pandering bullshit. And I say that as someone who loves anime. Whenever American animation blatantly mimics Japanese tropes, it always fails and fucks it up. Leave Japanese animation to the Japanese please.
To the topic at hand. This could be a fun show, but I doubt it. The good thing about Brave and the Bold was that it established its world and played by its own rules. It was such a throwback it was new again. It embraced its delightful cheesy-ness, and cast aside all the bullshit teenage angst being forced on our kids today by anything aimed at above age ten.
Of course, Wb can only produce one show at a time for some reason, so I bet B:BatB will be cancelled. Young Justice COULD establish a new animated world, with well written characters instead of just card board cut-outs fitted for stereotypes. But who am I kidding, this is their TV animated division, not direct to video. And it features teenage characters, which means they're all assholes, idiots, and caricatures of actual characters. -
Not only can I not view the videos, but the entire www.thewb.com web site is not viewable outside the US. My opinion of WB: fucktards. That is all.
-
Funny to see this article posted after Brightest Day 6.
-
...and that preview didn't lower my excitement level at all. It COULD be really good. I'm still hoping it is. The new Looney Tunes... ehhh... not so sure about that yet. I know I hated the RR/Coyote stuff. HATED. But the Daffy/Bugs stuff looked FAR better than what I was expecting. Better than the last movie, if memory serves.
-
Do they not realise promotional material visible world-wide may be beneficial to them?
-
I've sometimes thought the same thing. Animation now seems to be dominated by kid characters. The shows I remember watching mostly starred adults doing grown-up things. Various Super Friends shows, G.I. Joe, Ghostbusters. I didn't have to see kids like me to like a show.
