Attention Ten Cities (Particularly AUSTIN)!! Vote To Get THE OTHER GUYS Premiere In Your Town (Particularly AUSTIN)!!

Published at:  Jul 24, 2010 8:41:55 AM CDT

Merrick here...

Facebook is hosting a poll that'll determine where a premiere of THE OTHER GUYS will be held. There are ten finalist cities - appropriately, Austin is one of them.

So if you live in one of the nine cities that are not Austin, you can go ahead and vote for the premiere to come to your town if you simply must. But it would be way cooler if this premiere came to Austin, because that's were we are, that's where cool people want to be, hence that's where this film (and all films, really) should premiere.

Evidently, you can vote once a day during the duration of the contest - so be sure to check back at the link provided below.

Here's a look at the film's trailer. I'm sure Wahlberg and Ferrell will be OK together, and how can you go wrong with Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson in the same sequences?

You can find Facebook's poll HERE. This picture looks like it might be fun, so get to it...

    The Push For Austin Votes...

    by jonathanwww

The push for Austin votes is probably going to cause more votes for other cities than Austin itself. I for one voted for New Orleans!

Fine, Mr. & Mrs. Hollywood Executive Decision Maker. Keep considering us flyover country, and we'll keep staying away from your crappy movies when they play in the theaters.

    Austin's "undeserved special treatment"

    by natrlbornthrllr

Uh...? So, how exactly does a city come to "deserve" it's special treatment? That comment was maybe the lamest attempt at trolling I've come across on these boards...and that's really saying something.

    ATTENTION READERS!!!!

Sorry...this has nothing to do with the article, BUT...I just returned from watching SALT. Waste of money, talent and time!!! It was a little over 90 minutes long, and when it was over, it felt like I had been there for three hours. The characters were completly unrelatable, the plot was not just implausible, it was almost incomprehensible. If Angelina Jolie has shown some skin, then maybe there would have been at least something redeemable about this film, but, alas, she didn't. SALT is crapola from start to finish. Oh well...THE EXPENDABLES ain't far off now...

Who gives a shit. Why have a premiere NOT in Cali. I can see NY. Despite it being a shithole, plenty of people live there.

Whats with all the Texas towns? Fuck them...

    by conspiracy

What...now that Tornado season is over the entire states population came out of their basements; and being instantly bored by their surroundings, started voting to get this thing to premier somewhere within a days horse ride from them?
